Worst Band Ever Butchers Eric Clapton

- This is the band that rose to CZcams fame in "Worst Band Ever Butchers Pink Floyd" • Worst Band Ever Butche... This song preceded "Comfortably Numb" in their set. It's Cocaine by Eric Clapton.
This was performed at a music store during a breast cancer awareness benefit show. It should be noted that the store owner has always been a big supporter of all local musicians (both good and bad) and even gave me a chance to do some awful stand up (see my other video "Worst Comedian Ever").
The band doesn't have a name, but I've been calling them Hobby Lobotomy. And yes, this is real and not staged. - Hudba
Another brilliant spin on a rock and roll classic from this talented bunch. This one alternates between a 3.73/29 and eleventy-four/8 time signature with multiple tempo changes, featuring a calculated, microtonal solo. The vocalist explores microtones as well throughout the piece. True pioneers, I'd say.
Wow, that has to be one of the funniest comments I've ever read!
Thank you.
I do have to give these guys some credit. Their work is much more creative and original than most music nowadays. I would much rather hear this on a loop than listen to artists like Lil Wayne, lol. And you're welcome, Saint Germain :P
ROFL!!!!
brilliant
proof you should never mix meth & cocaine.
definitely fake.
no way that singer can read.
hahahahhaha
I'm crying
deth502 This comment is so underrated
Pretty sure he proved it here.
HA HA HA HA HA!
They have the "MUSIC" sign in the back because without it you can't tell what this is.
dude.... you're so damn right
Music is the last thing I would guess this was if I heard it
I fuckin died reading this lol
“Breast cancer awareness gig? Let’s play ‘Cocaine’ and ‘Comfortably Numb’!"
Cancer awareness? Let's give them cancer!
My wife said she'd rather have the breast cancer.
Since Cocaine does not heighten awareness and "Pink" is not the Color, of Awareness, nor is it the Color, of "Money" ( an other Pink Floyd Song) and Money is not what Doctors/Hospitals/Pharmaceutical Companies bleed Cancer Patients dry, of, until the Patient is dead ( i.e. "Comfortably Numb") and/or wishes they were dead (i.e. "Comfortably Numb") because the word, on the street is that Cancer Treatment (Chemotherapy and the like) is quite uncomfortable. Now, if only i could figure out, how "Cocaine" and "Comfortably Numb" are related to Boob Cancer and/or Cancer Awareness, in any way, shape or form....
They could have chosen more unfitting songs. Stairway to Heaven springs to mind. As does Spreading the Disease by queensryche.
Haaaaa
Sad to see so much hate, takes a lot of courage to perform as the words first entirely deaf band.
That'd actually be an explanation😂
No, I've heard all deaf bands, they actually sound ok
LMFAAAAOOOO 🤣😂🤣😂
Hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣
@@jamesblond516 "heard"
my life is not complete until i see this whole set
Love this comment. Man I'm searching for it too....best laughs I've had in a while
They're starting to play this video at drug rehabs as a sort of scared straight technique.
Great answer
😂😂😂
This is what happens when cousins marry
My favorite thing about this video is the vocalist reading the lyrics off a sheet of paper…. while holding it. Classic.
To be fair , he has a lot of lyrics to remember 🤣
These guys know a thing or two about stage presence. I'm always absolutely thrilled when a singer has notes with him.
The song has about 4 lines of lyrics repeated ad nauseum.
I love how the guitar still has a tuner clipped to it.
Bill Billiams shame it never got used
I know and it still sounds out of tune 🤣
Actually I think it was a guitar clipped to a tuner.
Haha you could the man Eric Clapton brownie and he couldn’t play the right chords or time signatures
ya, nothin’ like an instrument out of tune to ruin a gig.
a song about cocaine sung like the band is on Quaaludes.
zee339 lmao
zee339 LMAO!!!😂😂😂
They would sound better on ludes.
lmao
These guys actually have immense talent. To be able to play EVERYTHING wrong. Go ahead , try it
I love the shrug he does at 0:54. Its like hes never heard this song and he's not sure if this is how it goes
The guitarist learned that riff tomorrow
😂
The singer shows up with lyrics on paper, barely moves other than to shrug his shoulders in confusion, and the rest of the band is off tune, off time, and off their minds if they think this is called music. There was like 3 people in the audience and the three of them walked away.
+nv vam They know they suck they are just fooling around
What a front man ,so much charisma, lol,so bad its good
Without video I would have sworn it was Clapton himself.
Lmao
The Bath Salt Band at it again, but with some cocaine.
LMFAO!!!!
Bassotronics LMAO. 😂😂😂😂😂👊👊👊😨 I LOVE YOUR COMMENT! 👊😂😂😂😂😂
Jajajajajajaja la concha de la lora, me hiciste el día 😂😂😂😂
After laughing like an idiot to this, I am even starting to like it. It's like super-bizarre music.
I would even listen to it while driving my car.
+RCK EMY I agree! I've actually had the weird tempo and gravelly, hillbilly vocal style in my head for days lmao.
***** Unique experience I guess..
Hahaha. That's nice of you. I think alike.
Couple of month's later and I still think the same, every time I play this I feel loose and high :P
+RCK EMY im pretty sure if i listened to this driving I'd be pulled over for driving at erratic but always slow speeds, turning all over the road while constantly putting my hazards on and off.
amazing enough rendition that I am about to go try...
This is so unbelievably bad that it's awesome.
Exactly, I'd love to have a few beers with these guys before the show.
These guys are going to make it someday.
its like watching a car crash, hard to look away.
It is awesome, seriously, I love stuff like this.
@@MKrip808 seems like they had a few beers before the show
And over half-a-million views. So this is what it takes to make it. And to think of all those years I wasted learning to play my instrument.
Pete Berwick so much lost time!
Pete Berwick so it's true. you should learn it then forget it...they skipped step one
I’d rather be unknown my life and play well, than be known as a laughingstock. That’s just my opinion though!
Why don't just randomly pick up a instrument when you're really drunk, take your friends with ya, but be aware they might won't be your friends anymore after this. But just make sure to fit 69 tempo changes into the song and that the singer's so drunk, he can't even remember the words by heart.
@@joandrumz3176 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, I didn't think it was possible to play that off-time.
and at the same time - if you really really listen - and hold a metronome to it - they are perfeTLY - in time. recheck it.
@@micahjared8082 lol
This is even worse than Comfortably Numb !!
haha i know although this one has the drummer with L plates
I find it amazing how they can continue to play while each one of them are doing their own thing. There wasn't a single time that they were in sync. Truly incredible.
they cant play,they cant play,they cant play......methamphetamine!
The thing is....it' would be a lot easier to do an accurate cover of the original then to cover their version.......anyone up for the challenge???? Try and cover this band's version!! You will never get the timing and groove right.
Haha! :)
haha, "groove"
***** you just usurped my joke.
Man that would be hard to do.
*****
lol pretty much
"We don't need to rehearse, I been hearin' these songs my whole life. Let's just go out there and kick ass!!"
The drummer hits everything except the lottery!
Nick Nolte on vocals everybody.
I wouldn't call this bad, their approach was just quite psychedelic and time signatures opened new unexplored ground... and the sudden fading at the end made a cherry on a cake
I am absolutely crying reading the comments. Thank you! And for the poor bastards featured in this clip, I pray you have a sense of humor and the sense never to play out again.
To be fair, this is better than their take on Comfortably Numb.
+Douglas Butcher Its like saying that Iran is better than Iraq
I'd say it is "less bad" xD
I could get them a TOUR of Iraq
Yeah this vocal suits his 'style'.
@@thebunk8588 hahaha dude thats a rolled gold zinger thank you
These guys are actually kind of an inspiration. Their band is called "Hush" because someone told them they played so poorly that they should hush, so they know that they aren't very good and they embrace it. In their interview on CZcams they admit t having only been playing for 4-5 months, but they keep trying and working forward despite their lack of talent.
the owner of the store can be seen hanging in the window
🤣🤣🤣
That poor drummer. He seems to be the only one paying attention. The harder he tries to tie it together, the worse he sounds!
Agreed! His facial expressions are hilarious....
The drummer is a driving force for the band. That being said, they all sucked but he was the worst. I was playing better than this after 2 months of playing. Lol
I heavily disagree. The drummer was the worst one in the band. He wasn't even playing the right beat and switched time signatures a lot. The one paying attention the most was the bassist. But everyone else collectively sucked.
All he needed to do was hold a steady beat for longer than 15 seconds and he couldn't do it, he kept slowing down and restarting for no reason. He needs to sell some of those cymbals and the 4 toms he never touched and buy himself some drum lessons.
The drummer trying to match their groove but every time he syncs up they change tempo and he has to recalibrate. This happens every 5 seconds poor guy.
I would totally pay money to see these guys just so I can laugh my ass off, and I love a good laugh lol
yes, true, they are awesome
Think William Hung......"She Bangs"....
This reminds me of a thrown together band I was in at a company picnic. We butchered several rock classics that day - there was a VHS video tape which I would pay good money to get my hands on! My favorite part was when a grandmother brought her grandson up in front and the little bugger covered his ears! Less than 2 yrs and he knew crap when he heard it!
Did the same exact thing in nj in 77 we attempted freebird🤣🤘
😂
@@Brandi6666 omgosh. Shoulda went with Louie Louie.
@@DrHogfan yup 8 notes🤣🤘
@@Brandi6666 poor mans Dred Zeppelin. haha
Dude played a lead that made Randy Rhoads want to get back in an airplane....
Wow thats the first time I've heard someone sing in the key of K flat diminished everything!
Sounded more like in the key of M sharp
The singer was the best one in the group!
Best part is he's reading lyrics off some shabby folded up sheet of paper
Gotta love all the extra guitars they brought. They're ready for anything.
Yup! I noticed that too. It's possible they may have had a huge crowd later that night and may have needed them for multiple encores.
Cocaine's a hell of a drug.
The super clear random note from the bass at 1:14 got me good
They really need to consider taking down that music sign.
I am worried restarting my BMX career at 48 is going to end up
going something like this.
I'm a few years late. Happy belated 50th, brother!:)
Well, it can not be denied that they have made this timeless classic rock song their own.
I love the people talking to each other that are filming this at the very end. Made me feel like there were some sensible people listening in the audience at the 2:30 mark
Late-Period Miles Davis couldn't have touched these time signatures. I'm blown away. Someone needs to call NASA or someone... dang.
It's definitely up there with " in a silent way "😊
I need an entire set from these guys
They should swap instruments halfway to challenge themselves
Robin Thorpe It would sound the same
I think they already did.
I like how the guitarist gets his Bm chord ready at the end for Comfortably Numb and just holds on to it for dear life until the song starts lololol
Best part is how they all keep looking at each other in a manner that suggests they want to say something along the lines of "Dude, you're going too slow/too fast" but no one ever does.
Wow... and I've seen some bad covers before. Even done one myself but THIS!... This is bad.
Still laughing at this seven years later.
Good to see limp bizkit is getting a little better
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣
Most underrated comment posted! 😎
If we recorded each person separately, we can get them all i sync.... I think. I have never heard a band where each person is playing to their own beat. Those who are clapping, are glad it's over
The standing ovation and hay-bale mounted pumpkins really tied this performance together quite nicely.
Not even cocaine could make this less awkward
There is a little secret that many bands use before going out to play in front of people. It's called rehearsal or band practice.
I'm waiting for the band behind them to play.
this sounds like the rehab center house band
It's a crime that they are in front of a sign that says "music"
Nothing says "I prepared for this" more than reading the lyrics off of a sheet of paper...
i am so happy there are videos like this. everytime i have a bad gig i just go and watch some of those youtube videos. baaaam i instantly feel better and i know i am a pretty decent guitarist
same here. lol.
Knowing your better than this doesn't mean you're "...a pretty decent guitarist". You may be, but this not the standard I'd use to judge by. BTW, we all have or had bad gigs and bad bands.....
LOL it's pretty bad, but I don't think it's thaaaaat bad. Hahaha, at least I definitely heard (and done :P) worse. And it doesn't matter how good you are, it's still impossible to play well if the individual who's hitting the drumkit has no clue how to play drums.
Was that feedback or a guitar solo?
Prisoners on death row should be made to watch this .
The US Constitution specifically forbids cruel and unusual punishment in the Bill of Rights.
@@AdamBuker It says a lot of things that don't happen ...
I'm just laughing at the fact that the singer has the lyrics on a scrap of paper
I don't think they will be touring arenas anytime soon.
They are on "CZcams Tour" and more viewers than your band or mine will ever have haha
They are on their"backyard tour 2017"as we speak
This bunch here is why people should not do drugs.
This can't be fake...I mean, nobody can play THAT bad intentionally.
Fake news fake reports fake hurricane
the best thing about this is how disappointed the lead singer (if you dare call him that) is with the guitarist like he did such a great job himself lol
he's like did you practice last night because I practiced in the shower last night
The funny thing is, it seems that most of the notes are played right, maybe even all of them, but every single one of them is played at the wrong time.
This inscription on the building isn't true.
How does rehearsal sound? I mean really.
If someone gave you an unlimited budget, you could not produce more hysterically funny versions of this song and their signature classic, Comfortably Numb. You could produce bad versions, but not versions that would be so funny/bad that they’d get this kind of attention on CZcams. So in a twisted sense, these guys have a certain kind of talent.
You're completely right. I want to hear more music by them actually.
What is this band's contact details? I would like to book them!
This is the best band video I have ever seen. These guys are great........different time changes, microtonality, and Eric Clapton would be proud. Good going guys!!
How do I get a Hush t-shirt?
Did I miss their album release party? Ten years later and I still want MORE!
That drummer smiling at looking around at the band like "Is anyone listening to me?". He was the only one who halfway knew how to play it! The other guys are still learning the basics and probably shouldn't be gigging. But, I wish them the best.
That drummer was absolutely horrible. Could not hold a beat whatsoever.
actualy they're butchering JJ Cale. My god, they managed to destroy the most simple song .....
Is the complete set available?
Do you know if they have any stuff on iTunes??
This is so bad, i actually feel embarrassed watching this.
We need a reunion tour
I would listen to a classic rock covers album by these guys. Imagine them trying We Will Rock You or Paradise City? Fucking golden.
I could watch them forever... Does anyone have another lead to more material? I gotta have more !!!
I think i need an intervention
Before you make fun of this, try playing it like this. It's impossible for the rest of us. We all suck.
These guys pay tribute to Eric Clapton !!!!
....the same way Godzilla pays tribute to Tokyo.
Are these guys on itunes?
These guys have such a multitude of time signatures in their songs I heard tool, king crimson and meshuggah watch them to get inspired.
0:28 That shrug from the singer gets me 😂
1:30 - hey boy, you better have not been playing that instrument properly now!
On the reverse side of his lyric sheet are words to the song "Happy Birthday " unfortunately he only wrote the first verse down and had to ad lib the second.
rock on, dudes!!! I am deeply impressed by this unbelievable lack of talent and the courage to show this zero nothing minus anything multiple null vacuum on stage. Great - you can destroy ANY song ever been written
Did these guys learn to play by copying The Shaggs?
Sign in the window reads 'band drinks for free'
Is that the bassist from Complete?
Awesome gig! Totally portraying the effects of long term cocaine addiction, this is art!
It's so bad but I can't turn away. Help me
The drummer sounds like he has both hands tied together.. Extraordinary! Anyway, fair play to them.. anyone who plays live has my respect, and at the level? big respect!
This was filmed in Augusta, GA?? If so, where?
Wrightsboro Rd next to Two Men and a Truck
No one knows where the fucking "one" is...classic.
