How to Use Waypoint Favorites on Humminbird SOLIX | Waypoint Management

- The Waypoint Favorites feature on the Humminbird SOLIX allows you to mark a waypoint and quickly customize it with one of your five favorite icons and colors. This is a simple process to help you better identify what you marked with that waypoint. This video will show you how to enable/disable the feature and how to customize your favorite icons and colors.
How to enable:
- Go to your home screen
- Select 'Nav Data'
- Select 'Waypoints'
- Select 'Mark Mode'
- Select 'Mark Favorites' to enable the feature
How to customize your five favorites
- In the waypoints menu, select 'Favorite Settings'
- Select which icon you would like to use

Looks so easy as a process compared to that of my 1197. Wish we had this video years earlier. Still can not understand - operate my 1197 for waypoint naming and management ! Have had years of frustration!!! I hope Humminbird now understands that there a lot of us out there who are not particularly savvy with computers AND DID NOT GROW UP WITH THEM!

How do I get the distance from boat to waypoint to show up on the marker line when in the chart view on a Apex model
When you pass back over the waypoint later will the waypoint appear on side imaging or just the chart?

Thank you for contacting Humminbird on this matter.
With SOLIX if you create a waypoint, this should also appear on the SI View if it is within the area as you come back across it.
@HumminbirdTV I must be doing something wrong then. I work in public saftey and we're using the Solix 15. When I see a target on the side imaging I hold my finger on the object I want to put a way point on and select "create waypoint". When I pass back over it later the waypoint isn't on the SI. Only on the chart.

We greatly apologize as the information previously mentioned was incorrect. When you first create a waypoint while the SI View is on the screen, the waypoint will appear on the view however when you loop back around to the same area, the waypoint doesn't appear on the SI View any longer and would rely on the Chart View as well as key settings such as arrival alarm and so forth to let you know when you are within proximity of the desired spot.

Thank you for the video! I finally got a Humminbird setup. Does anyone know if waypoints can be saved and viewed later on side imaging like they can with Mega 360? I have set waypoints using my side imaging but when I come back to fish them I only see them on my chart view and not on side imaging any longer. Please let me know. Thanks

We do greatly apologize for the delay in response however would like to verify that waypoints do not overlay on the Side Imaging View. They can be seen on the chart view, MEGA Live view and MEGA 360 view however they cannot be seen on the Side Imaging view.

I run 2 Humminbird Units but don't understand why nobody is talking about this. Why is it that you can Record Video on Solix BUT YOU CAN'T FIND SHIT TO OPEN THE SAVED FILE ON PLANET EARTH? WTF!!!! Then what's the purpose..... Sir what program plays the recorded files? I've downloaded 5 different programs and NOPE... Not happening... Is Loki and Thor needing to be called to open them from Asgard??? HELP!!!!!!!!
If only i owned a Solix instead of Helix. Either way, good units.
Corey, I had to buy and add the Helix to see Waypoint Icon's at all zoom levels. In the areas where there are the most Waypoints, (rocks, trees, structure, fish caught, fish on camera) you cannot see any icon at any zoom level. If seeing your icons is important to you, you might thank your lucky stars that you did not over invest in a falsely advertised SOlix unit!
