I hope you do a saga on Polgar, simply because her games are less known than Morphy or Karpov, also more modern and kinda insane.
We definitely must have a Polgar Saga, soon if not next.
yuval bar-on kArpov,s game are very simple and yet informative
Karpov saga come on
So many good candidates, I even want an Alekhine Saga; I only voted for Karpov because I think we should do it while he’s still alive to see our love for his games. Chess greats unfortunately have short lifespans. Hopefully he’ll be an exception.
I agree I also want just saga
yes i concur. i would love to see judit's saga.
Judit's story is one of the most fascinating in all of chess. I voted for Judit's but Morphy seems to be the popular choice.
Completely agree. The story behind all three Polgar sisters is like a kind of scientific experiment conducted by theirs father. Insane story, much more interesting compared to any chess champ I think.
I agree and I voted for hers as well
I voted for her but my number is Karpov and will be happy if he wins as well. I really hope we don’t have a morphy saga cuz we already have seen several of his games and the play by most of his opponents was poor. Other than andersson he has no good competition
@@Dax_Maclaine I get your point, but we know by now that Antonio can pull it off and we can all learn something while having a good time
@@Dax_Maclaine Precisely. Morphy was a beast but sometimes, his games feel more like studies than actual games (unlimited respect for the guy nonetheless). On the other hand, I do not believe a Morphy saga would be that long. So even if I do want to see more of Judit, I could live with a Morphy saga. But I would also love some more Karpov; I do realise he is considered like a very positional and some even say boring player. But he also was a beast, and the little I know of his story, his title won without playing Fisher, the lack of consideration due to that, the endless match to Kasparov, etc... All this make me feel he also has a story I would love to know more of.
Now this being said, does Antonio really just want to inform us a bit more on these two so that we are more knowledgable when voting, or does he really show what he really wants? meh... in the end, Medo will pick :D
Suggestion: do some Tal games that Tal lost. Some game where Tal tried to play his typical game, attacked but was defeated due to good defence. I think it would be interesting to see.
@@ryanflanagan9624 amen brother, stay safe always and Godbless!
Ryan Flanagan are you completely crazy
I can suggest the game Tal v Bhend (Zurich 1959) . Bhend won by very careful defence. Refused to crumble.
Tal never lost a game except some questionable king sacrifices.
Tomorrow i’ve got a test...Just wanted to learn, but then: H E L L O E V E R Y O N E
Same with me bro😂
Madavi Rahul haha good luck buddy:). If it fails, its agad’s fault
It's OK, you are here to expand your vast knowledge.
Also if they ask you why didn't you study for the test, you can say that everybody knows that you should study the endgame first.
Interesting surname 😂
Feel free to pause the video and try to study for your test...
I'm simple, I see a game featuring Judit Polgar, I click. Her games are some of my favorites.
I had difficulty choosing between polgar and karpov, so this is great. "Only 30,000 votes so far" never would've imagined 2 years ago that agadmator would have this much popularity... im actually quite proud to be a very early excellent subscriber
If you do a Polgar saga, it should include the story of all the 3 sisters !
Judit Polgar is one of my favorite chess players. Nice video!
Every time I watch a Karpov game presented by agadmator, he's getting beat.
@Nakul Agarwal seek help
It's sad to see that the iron tigran has only 7% so far
No one wants to see a snoozefest.
@Prasanth Sridhar . Yeah, standing by and shuffling pieces is more exciting than busting open the king's defenses and checkmating. Sure...
@Prasanth Sridhar . I play OTB classical tournaments with games lasting as long as 5 hours. I've played all kinds. The difference with positional players is that they rely on theoretical moves that may or not be sound when you consider all tactical maneuvers. I do my best to combine positional chess with tactical combinations 8-9 moves deep when I can. Fischer was great at this and played some of the most instructive games.
Far too many of these positional players think they can win every game pushing pawns. Unless you play like Karpov or your idol Petrosian you'll find out eventually that shuffling pieces around will only get you so far. That said Karpov was also a great tactician and not to be taken lightly due to his positional style. Fischer demolished Petrosian in the Candidates leading to the '72 championship match. Your argument of defense being "more exciting than offense" sounds very one sided to me. What's your online or OTB rating? I play just over 2000 rating in all time controls although, I'll admit that positional chess is my weaker point.
@Prasanth Sridhar .I haven't seen that game. If you have a link and don't mind posting it I'd be glad to look at it. Below is a link to one of the most beautiful chess games I've ever seen and after you see it you'll wonder why it looks so easy (Fischer vs Barnes). Fischer has the ability to play with brutal efficiency and accuracy even by today's standards. That is why Fischer at his peak is my favorite player of all time. In my opinion he was the most balanced/complete player in the history of the game until chess engines turned the first 15-20 moves into a memorization contest that more times than not lead to drawn games.
In another game Fischer played a positional masterpiece against non other than Petrosian - link below as well. Good luck with your chess!

Oh wait! A game between Karpov(second on the poll) and Polgar(third on the poll) and a quote by Morphy(first on the poll). Agad is illuminati confirmed... :)
i think he's trying to nudge the audience in a direction...
And Judit played Like Alekhine ( activity) And Karpov played like Petrosyan ( passively)
@@kavyanshagrawal5279 oh Lord
@@kavyanshagrawal5279 Judit always played aggressively
@@kavyanshagrawal5279 well said
I like Polgar style, I prefer more agressive moves rather then defensive ones. But I have to admit Magnus Carlsen vs Judit Polgar: World Blitz Championship 2014, Dubai, was such an amazing game by Magnus, so cool and calm against such an agreesive attack and the end was incredible.
GAME: czcams.com/video/9iAa7WYi9OA/video.html
I’d love to see a series on Judith Polgar, I think she’s a very inspiring player, she reminds me of Tal. They both create devastation by just focusing on the jugular and aren’t distracted small piece gains, or indeed larger losses ...
Is agad trying to trick us to vote for judit's saga
Or not ?
Or is he?
* plays 130 Moon Men *
So, what's his idea here?
He is. She is hot
Felt the same way
I hope he is.
I hope it works.
I voted Judit!
Something I love is that the audio level in your videos doesn't vary much. I know exactly how loud the entirety of your videos are within the first few seconds. Love you agad
How do you feel about doing a second round of voting where we will have a choice between the two most popular sagas from the first round? I think that it's more fair because a saga might win a plurality without necessarily having a majority in the current system. #agadmator
That actually makes a lot of sense
this needs more likes
#suggestion ⬆️⬆️👌
But maybe it's too much polls, remember it's only to give agadmator an idea of what we want
Karpov has a face that looks like he's mouthing to polgar "you will pay for this" but has to be discrete as he's in public
Ha ha He got beat by a girl!
Didn't he freak when Kasparov took him to the woodshed?
Emperor Palpatine is that you?
Seems hard to believe Karpov would miss such an obvious attack on the king.
I've been playing amateur chess on and off almost all my life, but never actually progress. But this videos of yours really improved my game. Thanks.
Outstanding, Just as a story behind her and her father. More Judit Polgar please!
It's worth to mention that Karpov loss only 9% of his official games. Amazing chess genius. But also interesting fact is that Botvinik (I think) said for 12 years old Karpov that he is lost case - untalented for chess. Karpov's score against Polgar in classical games is 8 wins, 3 losses and 16 draws.
Lol :) Really? Karpov untalented?!? As far as I remember he won a USSR Junior Tourneament at about 16 and became Candidate at 23 or 24 years old. Btw it has to be said that he reached his peak in his 40s, in his unbelievable 1994 Linares.
@@Sletty73 yes, it is mentioned at least in Karpov`s memoires "My sister Kaissa" (yeah, pretenduous name, but the book is great. I don't know, if it is translated to any other language except Russian).
He guessed, that such judgement of the soviet chess patriarch was due to comparatively bad knowledge of openings by a little Anatoly. Opening were the life of Botvinnik like endgame for Kapa and sacs for His Majesty Tal.
9% seems pretty high
what is magnus/garry record?
@@edwardshowden5511... Magnus has 15% of losses, Kasparov 7%. But Magnus had 1751 and Kasparov only 1568 games in database, since Karpov has 2474 games.
@@vladavasiljev Very interesting 👍 1500 games or 2500 it doesn't matter really, 1500 is a veery large sample. Even 100 games against GMs would give an accurate approximation 🙂
But we have to remember that Magnus played better opponents.
Pls vote for karpov! His games are just positional masterpieces.
Boring as fuck
boooring
@Oissev Onos karpov bores his opponents then when they fall asleep he wins.
We just finished a year long positional saga with Capa. An attacking saga is needed to balance the scales.
@@aligindahouse7777 ngl, Karpov's positional brilliance in the Ruy Lopez (closed and Berlin in particular) have helped me a lot in notching up wins from turning small advantages into big ones. That and his opposite colour bishop endgames and rook endgames are very instructive. Hell, I hope Karpov does a guest appearance on this channel for a lecture :D.
This is what I love about chess... with few aggressive well thought well executed attacks u create a devastating barrage of attack that choked out the hell out of the king
By the way can u please Sir Agadmator make a video of the Game between Sokolov vs Judith?
Yeah, we already had one American saga with Bobby, how about a Soviet one for balance... Also, why not the Beast Kasparov?
Its not about nationalities man, or countries, its about their own personality and games, why u bring some irrelevant argument to chess
@@furkankarakaya26 It's a sport what are you talking about?
@@stefanstojadinovic2486 bruh this is about showing popular games and players from history , it was never about nationality .... So stupid...... If its like a world championship and players are actually playing each other then that's one thing , but this literally a poll to see which new player does the majority of the audience want to see
.... God .....
I agree. Every nation has its story, and in every saga you will see the story of the person in that nation.
@@stefanstojadinovic2486 i didnt say its not a sport what are u really talking about?
The polgar saga intrigues me the most. I'd love if you did it! Karpov is a brilliant player, but I feel like Judit's story would be more interesting and enjoyable.
I wish I could upvote twice, fantastic commentary!
We all know he wants to do a Judit Polgár saga. Also, she's smart AF.
ZenoDiac she's smart, cute, and hot AF in her younger days.. 😂
Judit is fun to watch.
Activity above all else
That one got my spine tingling too. Lasker vs Bauer was the other double Bishop sac cited.
Thanks for great video again. What software do you use to create your videos?
Seriously impressive stuff from Judit!!
Honestly, I think you should do the Judit saga. As the most followed chess CZcamsr, you could have real positive influence on the future of female chess
Judit is also really nice. I texted her a question on one of her websites and she answered me personally!
Wow, what a great attack. I'd like to see a Judit Polgar saga if it happens.
What happened at the start?? No "sorry about that" [turns speaker down]??
This video makes me want to go back to the poll and vote for the Karpov Saga🔥
Not Pulgar? Two positional players in a row? Why not throw some attacking genius in there.
@@egachc I agree. The Capa saga was great, but now it's e4 smashing time.
12:10 & 0:55 combining both looks that, _we are already in the_ *Judit Polgar's SAGA*
Hi, thanks and congrats. I'm very late but would consider giving us the Karpov saga? Another year? I know he was not the most popular when he was World champion but his games are the ones I enjoy most, even the ones he lost. So many economical moves.
Love both Karpov and Petrosians' games. Would love to see any one of their sagas wins the votes♥
Hi thank you for such interesting video I find this 2 bishop sacrifice line very interesting can u make any tutorial specifically on this or if you have already made anything then can u share the link please ☺☺
Judith played a Game Live in German tv, when I was young, perhaps in the nineties, commented by German grandmaster Pfleger, astonishing wonderful game
I voted for Judit polgar but in the comments section.. I said I want both Karpov n polgar sagas.. n there it is.. this nice video.. thanks once again.

Majority is always not right. Not everybody like Einstein's formulas. Go for Judith Polgar please i ♥️ her
Could you also do the double bishop sacrifice by capturing with the other bishop first?
I'm glad to have instantly found the bishop sacrifice! Which proves that you just need to get safely through the opening in some cases.
How many houses you change
I guess Karpov was not laughing/smiling after this game.
Why grab a useless pawn when your king is under attack.
Maybe he didnt wanna face another attack from the bishop, besides the engine says he is mostly ok there
There was only Qh6 possibility which not even looks good. Instead of Qc5 he should play something else like g6.
Because Karpov
Complete blunder
@@esflores5249 i rather play qh6 than push g6 and weak my king's position for that bishop pair from hell
Really hard to vote on the poll, I want all the sagas but voted for Alekhine saga
At 8:33, I can't fathom how a pro like Karpov didn't see the two bishops coming up , plus the queen and the queen!!!. I guess that's overconfidence.
So this must be start of Judith Polgar saga :)
Hooray, more games from the Grandmistress of chess.
Beautiful game. Beautiful player.
Awesome game by Judit Polgar ... Love it.
I know Judit Polgar is running a distant third in your polling, but I very much hope you will cover her saga. Not only is she the strongest female player of all time, but she has defeated most of the male world champions active during her career.
I saw this game way back my elementary days.. it was on the chess book on 2004 edition idunno the title but kramnik was at the cover.. and I saw also a game of spundiev vs pezzica w/ a nice queen sacrifice.. i hope agad would view this game also.. Nice game for judith.
Is this great match a hint as to who the next saga will be on?
I would love to have a Paul Morphy saga, followed by Anatoly Karpov, then finally followed by Judit Polgár.
Stunning victory!
Could you do one about Fischer's rematch with Spassky in 1992?
Great channel and great content!
Simply amazing.
Can anyone tell me if grand masters ever play the Stafford Gambit? I was hoping to see it after I saw both king side knights come out.
I don't comment often but I'd love to see a Polgar saga.
Both because generally, women in chess can use more of a spotlight for various reasons (e.g. even this comment section isn't free of misogynist jokes) but also because she has a very interesting personal story and a play style I enjoy a lot.
So yeah, Polgar would be awesome!
You must have studied law at some point or have someone near you that taught you the art of disclaimers! I like your assertiveness very much.
Bellísimo!
#suggestion on the pronunciation, the "oo" in Hoogeveen is pronounced kind of like the 'oa' in 'boat' (English). Cheers from the Netherlands!
That dog must think that his name is "For those of you who were able to do it"
Modern lines and exciting in the same tine
why is Mikhail Tal Saga not listed on the poll?
Because Agadmator does not want to run out of Tal games too soon (have you not watched the Tal game for the 500k milestone? are you not an excellent subscriber? :D) and a Tal saga would be a pretty big hit to that.
7:29 Probably possible - Agad 2019
Karpov thoughts in the end: I thought I'm playing Polgar. Now I now that Lasker is reborn.
Yes this may be Anatoly Karpov, but his opponent here is Judit Polgar: Only the MOST feared female chess player alive
Uh, no tournament that's played at the moment.
Hello everyone.. would like to see a saga on all the chess prodigies
i have seen this quote many times, can u bring something new
Nobody:
Agadmator: I have to remind you, you are playing Anatoly Karpov.
Wonderful game!
Question for anyone- do young players ever learn old notation any more. When I started playing, we used have notation like N to KB3, B-N5, P-Q4 , etc. I think the a-g and 1-8 system is WAY more efficient and easier to learn, but just curious if younger players are familiar with the old style. Maybe they have to know to study from old books ?
I'm not sure if it's cuz I'm feeling a bit strange but I really saw that mate lol!
Judit Polgar Saga please sometime soon! I met her when she was a very little girl because I played in the unrated section of the New York open the same year as her sister Sophia. Sophia and I finished with the same points 5 1/2 - 2 1/2 and I could have played her in last rounds but I played the only other guy that I could have been paired with. Not only is Judit by far the best female player ever, she's also one of the best attacking players of all time.
Can anyone explain why at 7:50 black Queen didn't capture the pawn on Qxd5 ?
Bxh7+ wins the queen
The way you pronounce Hoogeveen is nice. Couldn't understand what u said after 3 times, and I'm from Holland
10:41 "the rook controls the entire e file" - well, even without that rook on the board it would still be mate!

Hello everyone. This is my first comment not only on ur channel but on CZcams itself. I learnt many things about chess from u Agad. Tnx a lot. Keep going
I am really looking forward to Judith Polgar saga. Because my style of game was some what similar to her. And it is not bad idea if we try to understand what is chess in a female point of view.
do a saga on all players plz
can you show karpov v Tony miles st george
I'm curious. Why have a vote if it doesn't matter?
The lovely Judit as the thumbnail. 😉
I really really want a Karpov saga
Those in chess who bait masters with pieces are master baiters.
*7:48** Why didn't Karpov's queen take the pawn?*
Because after queen takes on d5, white bishop takes on h7 giving a check, king takes on h7 then queen takes queen on d5 (Qxd4 Bxh7+, Kxh7 Qxd4)
Perhaps in the future, rather than basing sagas on players, you make saga based on tournaments. Such as Zurich, Linares, or any tournament really!
