    I had a samsung washing machine for about 3 years. Then i moved to an apartment that was too small for it so it was put in cold storage at my parents place. After a year there my parents machine broke down so they borrowed mine. And they liked it so much that they kept it. 3 years after that i live in a bigger apartment and my parents are keeping my old samsung so i just ordered a new one for me 😀

    Bought a Samsung top-load in December of 2012 and just replaced it in September of 2022. It did not have a single issue once for nearly 10 years, and then the bearings went out. Bought another Samsung top-load to replace it. I have had good luck with Samsung products.

    A Samsung was the only washing machine I ever bought from new. It lasted just 2 years, then the drum-bearings went. A week later I bought a 3yr-old Bosch. That same Bosch (the Exclusiv F 1300A) is now 23yrs-old, and it's still going strong. All it's ever needed was new carbon brushes for the motor. I did it myself for €13.

    Samsung should take notes on how other brands like Siemens and Bosch build their washer. The tech is all good but the build quality should be better. At the end of the day.. it's a washing machine! It doesn't need to be replaced every two years! I heard a lot of my friends Samsung washer breaking down just under two years. While the Siemens I bought from 2018 is still running smoothly today! Only problem I have with it are the molds and smell that builds up on the rubber seal and in the drum, which common among washers and can easily be cleaned.

A little research showed this is a common and expensive problem to fix, and will just recur. Absolute junk, should have done research before buying. Went with GE 850 now and should be a much better choice over the long haul.

    My counterweight came loose and snapped in two, took out the door lock and some minor insignificant damage to the boot seal. Samsung gave me $1050 for a new washer on their website and never picked up the old washer lol. I actually bought a used counterweight and the door lock and the old washer is running fine now. I was lucky that i turned the machine off quickly when that counterweight came loose and started making hellish banging noises inside the machine. The bolts come loose from the factory, it's insane. If anyone who's recently purchased a samsung washer is reading this, take the front cover off the machine and check the 3 bolts holding the counterweight in place, take all 3 out, apply blue loctite to the threads and tighten the hell out of them when you put them back in.

    or they are unable to get the parts they need.

Obviously that means that if you get home at 5 and the wash cycle takes 45 mins, they won't be done until 5:45 rather than starting them at 4:15 and being done at 5. However, given that a washing machine doesn't take any user input that 45 minutes shouldn't really be the end of the world. If you have water pipes that aren’t insulated the water is going into the machine at it’s ambient temperature; if the water in the pipes is say 80 degrees it’s going into the machine at 80 degrees. Pipes that aren’t insulated are very common in southern states/hotter climates.

    We bought the Samsung front load new 6 weeks ago. Horrible, horrible customer service. The washer only leans your clothes if they aren’t really dirty. Sweaty clothes, bedwetters clothes, or whites that you would like to use bleach for disinfectant make this washer not a good choice. It allows you to put a few tablespoons of bleach for a load with washcloths, dirty white socks, tee shirts etc. when the bleach bottle tells you a half cup to 3/4 cup. So, the germs remain. Things you would like emerged in water make Samsung not a good choice. HUGE buyer’s remorse. Miss my top load agitator style washer. It simply acts like a dryer drum with enough water to wet your clothes but not cover them with water. Clothes don’t smell fresh after being tossed in a circle while wet with a dash of detergent.

    No no no no no, never again. My Samsung front loader lasted 10 months before the counterweight came adrift, the bolts holding it failed and it started banging and grinding depositing reddish dust as it shredded itself. The label says, "assembled in the USA", but that doesn't mean squat if the parts they use are rubbish and come from China. You can make a cake out of dog poop, and it doesn't matter how much frosting or how many candles you put on it, it'll still taste like poop. Samsung should stick to electronics. Got my money back and have switched to another brand.

      @Pingaheimer Před rokem

      i had the same issue but my washer was 2 months old, if you look online this is happening to a lot of people with newer Samsung front load washers....

    Do not ever, I repeat EVER, buy a machine without an agitator! Sorry but the top load TR7 Speed Queen washer (with agitator) is the top of the line! You don't need a fancy POWER wash button because you have a MULTITUDE of wash options including HEAVY wash. This Speed Queen actually FILLS TO TO TOP of the tub if you select and of course has many other water fill options. It also offer at least 10 favorite buttons, should you choose to program, pre-wash, pre-soak, delayed start, STABLE spin, and so much more. Spend a few extra bucks, get the INCLUDED 7 year warranty and this thing will probably last 40 years if you keep it clean! You can balance a nickel on this machine during the spin cycle and the wash cycle is so quiet, you'll think it isn't operating! This is a heavy duty built machine which of course offers gentle cycles for your light weight clothing, rugs and more. I've owned at least 5 machines in my lifetime and none perform as well as the Speed Queen, which by the way is built in America for over 100 years! Stop falling for the home store junk. Go and check them out!

    • @plmn93
      @plmn93 Před 2 lety +1

      The TR7's cleaning ability is rated below average in controlled tests, likely because its agitator does not move independent of the tub and it's not an auger type that turns over the clothes. Stuff on top sticking out of the water tends to stay there. To address that you need the TC5, which only has two fill options and is harder on clothes. Personally I really like Speed Queen's FF7 front loader but it has gotten ridiculously expensive and there is a 6-10 month wait to buy them so it was not an option when we decided to replace our nearly 20 year old Whirlpool (who is still US made). Frankly it would have made sense to fix our old washer, but we have wanted something able to do larger loads for some time.

    • @urhiredhr421
      @urhiredhr421 Před 2 lety

      @@plmn93 It cleans perfectly for me. The reason the agitator is moving WITH the tub is to be gentler on your cloths by pushing water through them, not beating them like on a rock. It you have extremely filthy clothes with oil, grass and other stains you may be better served by using their lower model with the "Classic wash" where the agitator moves independently and could probably beat oil out of marble. I mainly wash sheets, towels, jeans, pull-over shirts socks, underwear and so on. My clothes come out very clean and in good shape. For items like tough white socks, I simply select a more powerful wash with pre-soak, stain remover and don't even need bleach.

    NEVER. NEVER buy a Samsung appliance, TV's and mobile phone are fine.
    Read this, my true and 100% accurate experience - TERRIBLE in every way:
    Samsung air conditioners - 12, yes, TWELVE all dead in less than 6 years!
    Samsung washing machines - 3 dead, one 4 years, one 5 years, one 6.5 years
    Samsung fridges, consumer CHEATED!
    5 x 1HP cooling only, 5 x 2HP cooling only:
    All twelve A/C units had to be replaced, condenser coils leak gas, only 6 (or less) years old. These "cheap and very nasty units all use "micro channel", all aluminum condenser coils. They corrode and gas leaks out, technician usually "adds a little R22", and says "all OK", all under 7 years old. DISGRACEFUL environmental damage to save a little money. Technicians advise to replace, then offer more of the "same rubbish".
    No WAY! DO NOT buy this rubbish, it's terrible!
    Washing machines, (front load), first one lasted 4 years, technician advised, "not repairable", design fault with "drum bearing and support, completely rusted out"
    Second front loader, 2 years, burned out circuit board, replaced. Lasted 2 more years, technician advised 2 burned out boards, not worth fixing. More landfill, not even 10 years (expected), use.
    Third, 6.5 years old, same "drum bearing" failure, as in most other failure.
    Fridge 1, side by side 510L, display died 8 days after warranty expired, Hugely expensive to replace. Cheap door handles, "stainless look", rubbed away, now showing plastic, what a joke!
    Fridge 2, compressor failed at 4 years, new compressor replaced under "10 year motor warranty", we had to pay for labor, gas and ancillary parts after waiting 3 weeks to get the parts. NOTE, we had 5 (in total) compressor replacements on this fridge, "they converted it to a non-Inverter", installed a condenser coil on the back, it was noisy and very inefficient. GONE, NEVER AGAIN Samsung, NEVER!
    NEVER, NEVER, NEVER buy these aesthetically beautiful, very badly and cheaply built loads of rubbish!
    Samsung should stick with phones and TV's. The TV's suffer "back light failure" usually just after the warranty expires, BEWARE!
    Our MIELE washer lasted 29 years - NO SERVICE calls.
    MIELE dishwasher, 30 years, NO service call, then we sold the home.
