But the status of Taiwan as part of China's territory has never changed, nor has the Government of the People's Republic China ever given up its jurisdiction over Taiwan.
I would say Taiwan issue is China's internal territorial and national sovereignty issue and has nothing to do with so call democracy or freedom or any political system Taiwan currently has. People living on the island of Taiwan is living on China's territorial and property. No one, no political party or forces can separate Taiwan from China. The current constitution of Taiwan is consider Taiwan and mainland both are part of China. Can some one claim Hawaii to be independent from mainland US? Argentina had claimed sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, which lie 300 miles (480 km) east of its coast, since the early 19th century, but Britain seized the islands in 1833, expelling the few remaining Argentine occupants, and since then consistently rejected Argentina's claims. The Anglo Saxon countries are the invader and trouble makers of the world. China is for peace. China only deals with its internal affairs but the US and UK constantly keep make trouble for China and mind China's Taiwan issue.
