- Amazing costumes & huge crowds at the world's craziest Halloween street party - Shibuya Halloween 2015!
Hundreds of thousands of Halloween revelers in scary, cute, and funny Halloween costumes flooded the streets of Tokyo's Shibuya neighborhood again this year for the world's most insane (and fun) Halloween party. The 2015 Shibuya Halloween Street Party was even bigger than last year - with more people, more costumes, and more fun!
The Shibuya Halloween street party was so huge this year that the Tokyo government deployed close to 1,000 riot police to keep things under control. As usual here in Japan, the police were friendly, as were the partiers, and everything went off without any major problems.
Enjoy the Halloween video and let us know which costumes were your favorite - and whether you could recognize most of them (we recognize some, but some were also a mystery to us).

Tch if you think it's not celebrated enough in the USA you should come to England/Britain. We get about 1 isle of Halloween stuff in our biggest store and about 5 costumes in there. I ADORE Halloween, and it's just not celebreated enough here :C... I love it more than Chritsmas, it's amazing!
Yeah, it really bothers me... Since I was 9 I've just adored Halloween, infact what's weird is something about the creepyness and darkness is beautiful in it's own unique way, it brings people together, it's super fun, I get an excuse to buy cosplay... I could go on xD

Hallowen in Japan is well organized costume play party. Its very unique and gorgeous . Shibuya town becomes cosutume paradise.

Awesome footage as always. How would you compare the attendance compared to last year?
+Soooooooooooonicable It was fun and felt safe (no fights or mean people that we noticed) like last year, but there were far more people this year. In fact, so many people that by the early evening it wasn't really possible to setup huge costumes that use large props (if you could even get them into Shibuya in the first place). We had a few people we were hoping to meet that couldn't get into the area from Shibuya Station because of the huge crowds. There was also a lot more organization by the Tokyo government and other groups this year (police were out in force, trash crews were cleaning up, and official areas for costume changing were provided nearby) so hopefully that means that they'll support the event and help it remain safe and fun in the future. Thanks for the nice comment on the video. :-)
