  • Very pleasantly surprised at how good the fuel economy is on my Super Duty. I'll be doing another drive in a few days that will be longer and at 70-75mph.

    I wish they would update the tire pressure monitor to self adjust the set PSI range when in tow mode and then another setting out of tow mode.
    Have a DRW that doesnt have TPMS due to the older gen truck in which they didnt do TPMS on those, but i do heavy tow and having two settings would be helpful.

    you can pickup a 1.5lb ankle weight and just lay it over the steering wheel on either side and it will not warn you to put your hands on the wheel. The SuperDuty trucks will not do sharp curves, but they do ok, on open interstate. The F150s lane centering is much better.

    I was getting 19.5 with a Tremor on 37s. I think it is one awesome engine. Pulls like a beast. I just wish I had gotten it in my 22. It was a much better truck than the 23. From the horrible side steps to the ugly grill, not to mention the gauges... BUT , THAT MOTOR.. I love.

    I'm sure the truck is amazing. However, the gauges that Ford has done is butt ass ugly. What were these clowns thinking? Simple needle on dial face even if it is done digitally is fine but they had to be smart ass and do a bar graph with numbers in the middle!!!

    • @time_on_target
      @time_on_target  Před rokem +1

      There is an alternate option in tow haul mode to show it as a bar and you can also have it display on the HUD.

    • @LWRC
      @LWRC Před rokem +1

      @@time_on_target I actually really like Ford HD trucks. Wanted to buy a Tremor ever since 2020. I just wished Ford had done a better job. The purpose of instruments on a vehicle is to convey information. The clearer and easier it is, the better it is for the driver. This is not a video game! Look at aircraft instruments. Clear, white numbers on a black dial background with a white or orange pointer. Analog gauges convey information faster than any digital with numbers. Unless there is a specific purpose to read the numbers down to 1/10 of a decimal point, there is no need to have digital numeral display.

    • @Soulintent95
      @Soulintent95 Před rokem +1

      @@LWRC dislike digital instruments too. But i like it when vehicles have both. For example, i used to own a ford fusion that had gas guage and rpm digital but speedometer was analogue and it had controls for everything as well. Didnt like the rpm being digital, now i own a 2018 f150 xlt and everything is analogue except it has a small digital display in the middle for things like mpg, can check your tires. Just extra things that you dont always need to see. I keep it on the live mpg display, because i like to monitor it and figure out how to get best mpg. But all the guages are physical, just a bonus display.

    • @LWRC
      @LWRC Před rokem +1

      @@Soulintent95 Yes. There is a time and place for digital readouts...tire pressure is something you definitely would like to see down to the last PSI number. However, Ford has done the dumbest thing when they eliminated the analog gauges from their SD truck on the 2022 model year. They were fantastic. Large, clearly labeled and easy to see. In fact, you don't even have to see the numbers on the dial as the relative position of the needles, both speedo and tach, would tell you everything you need to know. The gauges on the 2023 look like a clown fest. Ford has a good product and I like their trucks the most of the big 3 manufacturers. But they keep shooting themselves in the foot at every turn.
      For reference, look at what Honda, Porsche have done when it comes to analog versions of a digital gauge. Or even better yet, look at military trucks - they all have old fashion analog gauges and they're the best. Easy to read under all conditions and none of htis video game nonsense. When manufacturers try to be cute with their design, it says loud and clear they don't know what the f they're doing!!!

    • @LWRC
      @LWRC Před rokem +1

      @@Soulintent95 What Ford should have done in their 2023 HD trucks was to keep the speedo & tach analog gauges from the 2022 model year and have a large display in the middle that can display different information. That would have been the best. And have you noticed the 2023 digital gauges for the speedo and tach are both smaller in size than the 2022 analog gauges they replaced??!!! If Ford cheaping out on their customers??!!!
