Wolves Soft Tournament - Rules Part 2: Outrance & Wrestling 5/6/2024

Format Summary:
Outrance:
2x 2-minute rounds with a 30 second rest.
TKO victory if opponent is in a position where they can no longer defend themselves.
If it goes to time 3 Judges score competitors on these elements relative to opponent:
- Effective Striking
- Ring Control
- Technique/Flair
- Grappling Dominance
- Takedowns
1-5 Points can be awarded for all elements, with a final tally of 5-25, per round.
Each judge scores both competitors simultaneously, after viewing the entirety of the round.
After both rounds are concluded results from both rounds are combined for final score of 10-50.
The fighter with the most judges scoring them higher than their opponent are the victor by decision.
Wrestling:
2x 3-minute rounds with a 30 second rest.
"Technical win" awards a 3-0 score for victor.
Winner of a round is the first to 3 Points. Fighters Reset after a point is scored.
- Dominant Takedown = 1 Point
- Decisive Ringout (Ringout = both feet are outside the cones) = 1 Point
If one round is a win and another is a tie, the competitor with the winning round is the victor.
- If the result is a tie for rounds won, an extra sudden death round commences. If it goes to timeout of 1 minute and the decision goes to the judges.

The Western Wolves are an up and coming Armoured Combat team. We compete in full contact steel fighting using blunted steel weaponry and participate in various types of fights including Buhurt (team fights), pro fighting (1 v 1 fights like MMA), weapon specific duelling, and mass battles. On top of that we will seek out other competition formats with the goal to further our member's skill and knowledge of the medieval combat arts.
We train weekly and run sessions for Armoured Combat Sports and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) at our dedicated gym in Ballarat.
We are even running classes for KIDS with soft equipment every Friday.
We participate in local tournaments and travel abroad, with some of our members having represented the Australia wearing the Green and Gold at the World Championships!
