- To honor Ellen as she wraps up her talk show, Kate McKinnon read her a letter that she would have written to Ellen when she was 13 years old. The comedian also talked about what it was like having Covid, her "romance" with her cat, and who her favorite people to impersonate are on "Saturday Night Live."

Ellen was, and is, a very important role model for many, in the LGBTQAI+community. Now Kate is a role model for the younger generation. It's not often we get to see her so serious so I guess reading the letter was important to her.
