  • “The great object of life is sensation - to feel that we exist, even if in pain. There is an ecstasy...there is life where no one intrudes: it is not that I love man less, but Nature more. ”
    Lord Byron
I've been in Italy for 10 years. Time has flown by so fast that I still can't believe I’ve been here this long. Since getting this house, I have settled into a pretty good home routine. It is comfortable.
I work full time at home voice acting, narrating stories for children, and teaching. I look forward to doing something outside every day.
My focus has been with building a harvest table. The harvest table will be for eating outside and parties. I used the wood that was already here. The only thing I bought was screws, stain, and wood oil.
It is heating up around here which means that I need to get this garden looking a bit better so I can put in a cover crop and maybe some other things. Finally, I have emptied all of the tubs and bins and hauled out the metal pipes. They were heavy!
The front door. It was in need of the serious TLC. It needs more work, but the linseed oil really helped it look much better.

In Autumn of 2023, I bought a homestead in the heart of Italy in a region called Umbria. It was build in the mid 80's. It needs to be cleaned up and some good TLC. I would like to renovate it to make it more a rustic Italian country house.

but seriously: what a great makeover to stain the door like that. Looks awesome. And I appreciated the drone shots for perspective of the place that you call home.

if you want to avoid burning the bottom of your coffee maker thing, there is a trick; instead of putting it on your burner directly, stick it in the microwave. ;-)

LOL. That would take care of the problem, certainly. Heehe

Thanks for the reminder. The 2 latest vids have full subtitles. However, I need to update a few of the older ones. I'm getting the hang of putting the subtitles on each. Thanks again for the reminder. Cheers.
