Reasons for maintaining your locs(special to me)

First thing, is that I laughed way too much at this “outro.” And it still makes giggle, so I’m probably gonna do that shit every time!

The rest is in the video. Honestly, I’d do locs for simply the interactions and growth I get to witness in each human that I get the honor of being part of their Journey. It’s pretty Fukkin incredible to be able to help do that. There might be some of you out there that didn’t realize this is part of what we’re doing.
For me, it’s always been “hairapy” to some degree. I’m about the connection and growth. (Even if I forget your name 20 times. I had a long career of drug abuse, so there’s synapse that gets lost) I’m there behind the chair (and now this year, behind The screen)
The most subtle part of my job as a hairdresser is getting you to get in the mirror and see yourself. Both beautiful, and frustrated. Both. Who knows, eventually you might even pay attention to the words your thinking while looking at yourself till those become a breath of fresh air”I love you “ for yourself.
That’s the goal. For me, that’s my goal in getting you to blow dry style your pompadour, or braid your hair, or do your separating and palm rolling about it. So You make Yourself beautiful.
