I’ve now become aware of the Established Titles situation. This sponsorship happened right before it came to light, my apologies. Thanks to everyone who let me know about the entire ordeal.
If you drop part 2 of this video before christmas, I forgive you :P
FR, many skilled professionals, including a few attorneys, were duped by this. Glad you spoke out against them, but nw.
You can cut the sponsorship out using the CZcams editor
@@Ed.E but then he doesn’t get paid.
@@dakotastrain338 Hes been paid already, it would just probably be a breach of contract, and get the guy in trouble
If your about to accept a sponsor maybe research about what your gonna sponsor on your channel these guys are not good people and you should always make sure you know everything about them before taking there money, I understand that this was a month ago and I appreciate and I think others also appreciate the fact that you addressed this also great content
Something I've always liked is that Nacho dies thinking Lalo died horribly by his hand, while Lalo dies thinking that Nacho got away scot-free after letting in the assassins.
I’m very sure he found out that Nacho died. He was all-knowing. Nacho died within a couple days of the failed assassination attempt, Lalo was still in Mexico, he had to have heard.
@@it.was.written I'm certain he didn't find out about Nacho because he would definitely have said something about it to Gus. Lalo being oblivious is cannon.
@@it.was.written Lalo is all knowing, but we see how and why he is
we never see him find out ab Nacho death so I don’t think Lalo ever found out what really happened
@@it.was.written Lalo didn’t find out dude
@@temp1326 The only person in the cartel Lalo made contect with prior to Gus was Don Hector, who didn't (and couldn't) tell him about Nacho. He couldn't have talked to anyone else in the cartel who could have told him because it would have blown the cover of his fake death.
Hector shooting Nacho's body is so funny he looks so pathetic
It was hilarious and COMPLETELY in character for Hector who is a hateful spiteful miserable old man.
He is pathetic
that is the best word to describe it. pathetic. shooting a dead body did nothing for him for sure
Well it was his last so he won.
*YOU THINK OF MEEEEEE* probably pushed him over the edge. So to speak.
Hector shooting Nachos body is an example of dark comedy done so right that it's worthy of alot of praise. It's so petty and dark but totally makes sense for his character.
when i showed my brothers the episode, at least one of em started laughing lmao. i'm glad i watched it on my own before showing them, but i can't deny it is funny
Not only that, but the twins carrying Hector in his wheelchair. It looked so goofy and my dad burst out laughing as soon as it happened
Victor's glee in 603 makes Box Cutter totally justified
It may have been more of duper's delight than glee Nacho was dead. That situation could have turned fatal if Nacho exposed the truth plus he may have been impressed by Nacho's badass last stand.
church yo!
1:06:40 The order in which Nacho glanced was the order of who died in breaking bad
fucking WHAT
Actually the twins died before bolsa. So no.
Absolutely love these tier lists, please make one for each BrBa season that would be a dream
yes plz
Totally agreed!
Yes please!
Please do my life would be complete
I hope this happens, it'd be amazing.
52:33 I kinda remember Michael Mando expanding on the symbolism of the scene. He said that Mesoamerican cultures, such as the Aztecs, had a different attitude towards death. In times of drought, brave young warriors would hold contests of strength, all vying for the honor of becoming a human sacrifice for the gods so that rain would fall on the dry lands and keep the people from starving.
Nacho died so that his father could live, and the rain falling symbolized the sacrifice he made.
54:41 fun fact: the “oil” that was used was actually chocolate syrup that’s used in the shakes at McDonald’s. The same stuff was also used for all of the oil scenes in the movie “There Will Be Blood”
No fucking wonder. That fudge they use is mad thick. Lmao
ok i'll never gonna look at a McDonald's shake the same way again
@@UnCreativeDeconstructionism it’s like a different type of syrup used specifically for shakes which is why it looks different compared to grocery store chocolate syrup
nacho was in chocolate syrup yay
Darkest Willy Wonka spin-off ever.
If we were to be super pendatic (and why wouldn't we), Saul never says Lalo's _real_ name (Eduardo). Also, Nacho finding the shard of glass in the trash is kind of like the inverse of Walt realizing Krazy-8 took the piece of broken plate.
season 6 of Better Call Saul is an absolute thrill ride. it was the only season I watched live and I'm SO glad I did. Thank you for making these long videos. they are amazing.
"This is it. This is how it ends."
After all that... a happy ending
"This is me. This is how I fucking win."
Kid named finale
Until slippin jimmy season 2
This is how it's happened this is how The Batman died.
Also fun fact: Bob and Rhea were actually unaware that Patrick Fabian was being killed off until the day of shooting, so a part of the shock was genuine
Yeah, Tony Dalton actually murdered him it wasn't a stunt. That's why they're so shocking it's not acting but a geuine reaction.
@@-psilo-9071 Bravo Tony
2:20:45 - I think Casper just didn't want to kill him. He's not a killer. He didn't have it in him. Not everyone does so easily. Certainly not when there's a non-lethal alternative.
I'm in awe of how masterful their plan against Howard was. The writers could've made it easy for us by making Howard an unlikable jerk so we could cheer it on, instead it was a feeling of impending doom the whole season. I was on the edge of my seat every episode.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this! As soon as I finish my shift at the hospital I’m watching the whole thing front to back. God bless you!
Now do a definitive ranking for all the S tier episodes
A top 10, or 15 episodes
@@grantwilliams2650 exactly. Would be interesting to see which comes out on top. My pick would probably be Winner, although Chicanery would be the obvious choice
I love the way the writer of this episode included the love/like counter. It adds a great sense of humor and is also a callback to previous tier list videos, that some viewers may have missed. Thanks for the content man! You're killin' it!
I’m pretty sure that in S6E7 when Jimmy says “…How-“ when seeing Lalo it can be interpreted as both Howard’s name (maybe telling him to step back) and the question How (are you still alive)?
Personally I'd put Wine and Roses at S or even SS, it's one of my favorite season openers of all time, sets an amazing tone for the entire season, damn near every scene is iconic to me, the amazing cold open with Saul's mansion that starts with the B&W ties then switches to color, hinting that Walt being discovered was the moment where that color to B&W transition happens, basically where the "fun" was over, and that this season will be the catalyst for that, Kim and Jimmy waking up and going to work, Kim throwing away the bottle, Jimmy messing up and letting Lalo's name slip, basically besmirching his image as a lawyer forever, and Jimmy pulling up to the El Camino diner was a stunning shot for no reason, just so iconic to me, and I love Jimmy's black suit that he wears to the golf club, basically a flawless episode in my eyes.
Agreed. Love the country club scene.
There should also be an “I digress” or “side note” counter. Thank you for tier listing the entire series. Bravo Kiwi for this great series of videos.
Better Call Saul just became truly complete. Thanks for your great videos and especially these Season recaps, one can really tell how much effort went into the videos, and thus how much you actually care about the show .
Dude i literally spent all day today binging the other 6 hours of your recaps and tier lists and moments after I finish this next one get posed. Must be another one of Jimmy's schemes!
This video alone is the reason I restarted my binge on Better Call Saul, I remember using these retrospective videos to understand the show my first time going through it a few months ago and it’s literally insane the amount of effort and detail you put into these. If the videos themselves end up 1 hour+ I can only imagine how much time is put towards the rewatching, script, editing etc. You deserve the recognition for this
So glad you’ve uploaded this!
~7:35 re the difficulty of the shot of the bottle top…there’s an old sci-fi show here in the UK called Red Dwarf. In one episode they had a character become a skilled marksman and had him shoot two bullets that were fired at him out of the air. To show this, they got a top down shot of two bullets falling on the floor. It took them HOURS and hundreds of takes to do this because one or both wouldn’t stay in shot! Random useless information but this reminded me of it.
“Oh wow, this is shorter than I thought. Based on the season 5 video I thought it’d be twice as…” sees bookmarks in description “oh…”
Jokes aside, I love these videos. Amazing work as always.
Wow, I just finished season 6 legitimately last night. Having this come out right after is what I needed after saying Goodbye to such an incredibly written show. Nothing compares to the writing of the breaking bad universe.
Howard's death mirrors Hank's in several ways, as a commenter on another video I saw pointed out
-Killed in the middle of a sentence
-"enemy" of the main character(s), but never somebody they wanted to die
-Both in extremely unlucky situations (Walt called Jack and his guys because he didn't know it was Hank, Howard arrived at exactly the wrong time)
-The second-to-last major event before the falling action (Walt fighting Skyler and stealing Holly, Kim being sent to Gus and Gus' showdown with Lalo)
-Protagonist lays beside the corpse of the person they never wanted killed
-Protagonist manages to kill both parties due to not being the person in control
2:01:53 the like/love counter is not messing around 😂
BCS fans: "One day, we’ll wake up and brush our teeth and we’ll go to work, and at some point we’ll suddenly realize that we haven’t thought about it at all. None of it. And that’s when we’ll know. We’ll know we can forget."
Kiwi: posts this
I was almost positive the Salamanca's were going to go after nachos dad for the simple fact that nacho robbed hector of getting his revenge. That is still extremely surprising to me that they didn't go down that path in the series
Mike said he promised to guard his father. Not worth the risk for them I guess
@@beebobber546 I thought Mike promised to guard his dad from Gus.....not the Salamanca's...wouldn't be much Mike could do to stop them...not by himself anyways....just saying it seemed like Nacho should have known better.
The whole “i’m in the game but my father isn’t oh no” plot is pretty dumb. It’s like the perfect storm of stupid. if you cared you wouldn’t join a trade that gets family members killed? and why wouldn’t you escape the cartel? for some weird honor code that doesn’t matter? huh…?
I don't think saul actually planted the baby powder in the locker, I think when he heard Howard and cliff walking towards him, he tossed the baby powder on the floor and then did his hiding thing and made it look like it fell out the locker.
2:31:38 The way Howard says “I got played. Every step of the way.” breaks my heart because he absolutely means well but after realizing the way he went about it, he knows he lost. And he seemed so defeated from it.
I can’t explain how much I love these tier lists. Thanks for all the effort kiwi 👌🏻👍🏻
Re. Gus hiding the gun, I feel like the point is that Gus begins relying on sheer instinct to outmaneuver his opponents. It harkens back to when he walks away from the car Walt planted a bomb in. Gus' ability to understand other people can border on a sixth sense.
Gus knows Lalo is after him. He also knows Lalo is not wasting all this time for something as simple as a murder attempt. And he knows Lalo has an _inkling_ about what he's been planning re. the underground lab, and that it's a skeleton in his closet he can't cover up.
None of that is enough information to _quite_ accurately plan the pistol contingency, but it's not quite enough in the same way Gus knowing a chemist wanted him dead "felt wrong" enough for him to spontaneously decide to switch cars.
Gus has always been capable of being efficient and making smart choices that get consistent results. But it's only in *this* moment that Gus gains his "x-factor" of sorts, the ability to trust in his gut and make spontaneous decisions that ascends him into the untouchable mastermind we meet in Breaking Bad.
One thing I really loved about the end with lalo and Howard was jimmy going “Ho… how…?” And Kim picks it up quickly so lalo doesn’t know they think he was dead by saying “…howard, you should go”
I mean they found out that he “died” through the court, not through mike, so there wouldn’t be much suspicion based on that alone
But that means the court knew who lalo was@@tysont1909
Yessssss!!!! Made my day...again. This is bittersweet. I hope you continue to do content surrounding the series!!
instantly saved to my playlist, been waiting on this !!!!
Let’s fucking goooooo!!
Love you Kiwi 💜
I always enjoy how kind Lalo is to Little Bear.
I was disappointed this video was only 2 hours alone when season five was 4 but then I realized this covered the first half of season 6 so we aren't done yet
These tier lists are excellent. Keep up the great work!
It's insane how much effort you put into this. Keep up the amazing work man!
Been waiting for this! Thanks, Kiwi.
Quite a ride... I enjoyed every step of the way. Thank you, for everything. This got me through a lot, and made me love a series I've loved even more.
Been waiting for this!! 🔥🔥
Always good to hear from you. Thx
This guys work ethic is insane! Great vid, love the long content
You kill it on all your BCS content. This is no different. For I'd put wine and roses in S, I think it's somewhat slept on, but yeah you NAILED the feel, tone, direction and plot of not only the first half of season 6, but all your other recaps. Great work, can't wait for the 2nd half
I love these videos! Looking forward to part 2
These videos are so addicting, having ones for breaking bad would be very nice! But considering the unbelievable amount of work that has to go into these you will probably want a break.
I really watched all this. Love it. Thank you for this content!
thanks bro, been waiting for this
Very in-depth man. Thanks for the upload.
Been waiting for this one
Has anyone else been a tad depressed after this show ended, or am I just a bears-fan?
I actually love Nachos ending speech, theres so much hatred for everyone there, and when you pointed out that he looked forward to mike, his face softened a bit, almost as if saying sorry
absolutely goated youtuber, you are incredible keep it up
Thanks man been like that flower in the dessert waiting for rain with your vid’s great mic too
Ayyyyy I been waiting on this!!!
Lets go ive been waiting for this
YES BABY, I WAS JUST REWATCHING THE S5 ONE
Love these! Thanks KiWi!
this is so great, can't wait for the 6b tier list
Just so you know, Kiwi (and any young whippersnappers out there), Beanie Babies are "Ty" brand (pronounced "tie")-- not "T-Y". Ty was founded by a man named Ty Warner, so that's where the name comes from. The only reason I know this is because my grandma was one of "those" grandmas that spent the better part of her later years hunting down supposedly rare Beanie Babies all over the state. And she used her grandkids as an excuse to indulge extensively in her hobby.
She would drag us out to the Hallmark store at 5 in the morning so we'd be able to get the desirable ones before they ran out of stock. She had to take us along because there were strict limits enforced on how many of the newly-released Beanie Babies you were allowed to buy (something like 3 of each different type per customer). So instead of only being able to get 3 of each, she could get 9 because us kids technically counted as customers! The delusion that she was working under was that these toys were going to increase in value over time (they were supposedly an investment), so we'd be thanking her as grown-ups when each one was destined to be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars apiece. Instead, they kind of just sit there worthless in these plastic tubs taking up space, and I don't have the heart to discard them. It's funny that Jimmy uses them as bribes during this time, since the fad had died out almost entirely by the time BCS is set.
Really looking forward to watching this. Watched everything you put up. Can't believe it's all over. This will help ease the pain, thanks for everything Kiwi
I've been waiting for this video for so long. You are easily my favourite bcs youtuber and watching your videos as season 6 came out was incredible. Keep up the great work man
Yessss I’ve been waiting for this
Yeah just gloss over the "superbrain" Lalo figuring out the line was "tapped" since apparently Gus was using 1970s phone tapping equipment.
What a nice surprise ☺️💃🍾
Thank you Kiwi 🥳
Been waiting on thus
2:41:50 Given Mike and his men clean up the apartment for them, its possible Jimmy may have never even known about Howards blood getting on it
"We'll put a pin in that" kept reminding me of Walt and Jesse in the desert hahaha
1:33:55 I also like how this sort of mimic Irene from a couple of seasons prior
Nacho's final phone call with his father mirrors Werner Ziegler's final phone call with Marguerite, with neither able to state their true feelings out of concern for their family member's safety.
I’m sad that they didn’t bring Pryce back, he was hilarious to watch
love these
2:40:56 I guess, but Chuck's sound effect was so much funnier. My wife and I laughed out loud for a minute or more after seeing that the first time.
Goated channel and video
great series, watched every vid. i love (+1) how you give good praise but also criticism for every episode, even ones that you are partial to. i agree with almost everything you say, and i really get excited when you rant about how awesome nacho is. im glad when i learn people out there love bcs as much as me haha
i disagree with one thing you push though, and im gonna share it because im some guy on the internet, and thats what we do. i agree that jimmy and kim are bad for one another and that the conning and heisting are a rush for them and kind of leads to them realizing they arent compatible, but the way you talk about it kind of implies that the rush is all they are after and they don't really love each other, and i think that it's sort of the opposite. i think they really love eachother, and they go down these bad roads which leads them to being unable to make it work, which is why its so tragic and sad. they were clearly attached before they started conning, and they clearly care a lot for one another in the gene timeline even though it's rocky. it's like a love story that they have to accept won't work., and for me atleast this made the story so much sadder but also made the ending where jimmy really became vulnerable (pretty much just to prove to kim who he really was) so strong.
your tier list format/long video structure is sick, would love to see you do dexter or the wire, maybe even the sopranos. keep it up!
You can TELL Kiwi has a negative bias for BCS Season 4 judging from the I LIKE / I LOVE Counter! 2:49:10 🤣
The Casper thing also makes sense when you realize that Euros generally find the concept of lethal self-defense to be a great evil and that to die is better than to kill to protect your life
amazing video!
Another great tier list! Can’t wait for the finale! Are you going to rank the breaking bad episodes as well?
Yes! Let's gooo!
FINALLY> BEEN WAITING FOR THIS> CHEERS
I loved the part where Jimmy says “Well this is it, This was my Better Call Saul”
Oh my this is gonna be fun!
Now that I watched it, that almost three hours flew by! S6 is spectacular most of the way through. Looking forward to your take on the final 4 episodes, now that some time has passed. The show as we know it really ended with 609. The rest is an epilogue to the entire BB universe and it will be interesting to see how it holds up to review.
Not me being sad when the video ended LOL. Love the tier lists and looking back after the series is over - missed your vids! And not to brag but I live in the Canadian province that Nacho had the fake ID's for. Not only that, the address on the fake ID is an actual address and isn't that far from me. Nacho's death will never be easy to watch. Up there with Mike and Gale's deaths for sure :(
Another great breakdown video. Though I have a hard time believing Mike would have left the painting behind that Saul kept in his mansion if there was evidence on it, and there was a ton. I wonder if there's a correlation between Jimmy doing acts like that and how Walt would start having similar mannerisms as his enemies. Almost like a way of coping through denial or rationalizing the behavior.
2:22:12 BRUHHHHHHHHH I realize that there are multiple variations of this saying, but huge missed opportunity to say "isn't the sharpest tool in the shed"
I mean they're literally in a shed... with tools... and he hits Lalo with the blunt end of his sharp tool...
Love u bro
2:40:52 I'm not sure if the creators intentionally made it a parallel, but I saw in a behind the scenes video that Michael McKean and Patrick Fabian both used the same body rig to make the fall.
“Everyone else would die years later as well.” Yeah that’s kind of how life works.
When Nacho grabbed Bolsa, I hollered at the tv and threw a pen at it. Then he did you know what
Its midnight where i live but tmrw i will watch this and i cant wait
2:21:40
My dude, as a Mexican, i can tell you this is completely normal for us and a must if you live here. His whole character is kind of relatable for us if you take away the murderous sociopath thing. Mexicano y además Chihuahuense tenía que ser
Thanks!
Kiwi liked the retrospectives he was good at it.
That scene with Nacho and his dad talking one last time, has to be the most reliable and saddest to me. That’s how it kinda feels living in a Mexican family. A living novela 🤣🤣🤣
