I can't support Aria. I don't want to see non-Korean people in Kpop. A Kpop idol is an ethnically, racially Korean artist and performer who breaks into the music scene. Non-Korean people can't be Kpop idols. They are Pop singers who call themselves "Kpop idols" to profit from the Hallyu wave Someone like Rose, Wendy, Yongbok (Felix), Chan, Bae Jun Yung (Jacob), Moon Hyung Seo (Kevin), Son Young Jae (Eric), etc with a Korean ancestry who acquired non-Korean citizenship or nationality would still be ethnically, racially Korean and qualified for the Kpop idol position. Half Korean people like Huening Kai and Ju Hak Nyeon would be as qualified. According to my definition of Kpop, Black Pink, Black Swan, Exo, Enhypen, X:IN, GOT7, SEVENTEEN, NCT, TWICE, CLC, etc are Pop falsely labelled as Kpop to flow more swiftly across national boundaries, increase global competition and make more money in non-Korean countries People ask, "are you Korean?" If I said that I'm an Asian person of Korean ancestry, you would agree with me? They say, "non-black people can rap, non-Korean people can be Kpop idols" Non-black people appreciating rap, R&B, hip hop, jazz, etc, is different from non-Korean people breaking down Korea’s cultural traditions. The black people of today didn't "create" any music genres. Their ancestors did. They don't own their ancestors' "creations," and it's theft to pass them off as their own A moderate amount of music appreciation preserves the distinct cultures of the past. But the surge in the number of non-Korean people crossing into the Korean entertainment industry above traditional, moderate levels is transforming "Kpop" into something Korea won't quite recognize as its own. It's not a great thing My suggestion is to safeguard Korea's resources for ethnically Korean people. The present Korean entertainment industry should preserve for the talented people of Korean ancestry resources necessary for their growth Talented ethnically Korean people are finding it difficult to get a job and apply their skills to segments of their entertainment world. It's distressing to see non-Korean people stealing their jobs. Even more distressing is Korean agencies refusing to recruit, train, and retain available and willing talented ethnically Korean people. They have become blinded by money, favorably inclined toward gratuitous "globalization," and reliant on the less compliant, more high-maintenance non-Korean people I'm not saying that non-Korean people can't be "idols." Idols are celebrities. Anyone can be a celebrity anywhere. I'm saying that they can't be "Kpop" idols. They can't have the "K" in Kpop This is a massive deviation from the popular opinion, isn't it? I would welcome non-Korean people to the Korean entertainment industry within sustainable parameters. Homogeneity of the Korean ethnicity would be maintained for 99% of the groups. Most idols would be Korean, and few would be non-Korean. The non-Korean idols wouldn't call themselves "Kpop" idols. They would call themselves idols, celebrities, singers or performers. Then, Korean agencies would have incentives to work out alternative arrangements not so reliant upon non-Korean people They ask, "why should we international fans enjoy Kpop, even more importantly, pay for its performances?" Why not? Non-Korean people can support Kpop, and leave ethnically Korean people to sing and perform on stage. They can be involved partially, and not fully. Think of a fancy Asian restaurant that doesn't hire non-Asians. You would be welcome to visit and book a table. You wouldn't be welcome to get involved in the kitchen. You don't have to be a staff member (an idol) fully involved with food preparation (production and performance) to have a unique and enriching gastronomic experience (listen to Korean music)
I'd like to add that non-Korean people invading and dominating the Kpop industry raises concerns about authenticity and representation. It limits opportunities for Korean people to represent their culture and experiences on the global stage. The presence of non-Korean singers in Kpop dilutes the authenticity of the genre, making it less representative of the unique experiences and perspectives of Korean people. Pop music genres should remain true to their ethnic, cultural origins to maintain their authenticity It also raises the question of the role of the Kpop industry in promoting Korean culture and values. Invaded and dominated by non-Korean people, it's incapable of reflecting the unique cultural and artistic traditions of Korea. It's more focused on profit and commercial success than on promoting Korean cultural values. That's a problem Kpop is not just a musical genre, but a vibrant cultural phenomenon that transcends linguistic boundaries. A Kpop/Korean song can be primarily in another language (English, Japanese, etc) and still be a true embodiment of Kpop's spirit and essence, as long as it embraces Korean ethnicity/race

And she has the most remarkable Indian feature that's her eyes. Her eyes are truly beautiful and they are so Indian type. Anyways I am rooting for Aria and her group.
I think that's coz her skin tone, figure etc. Matched with other members, who are foreigners.
Edit:I'm not saying that her features are not common in India but brown is the most common color in India. Majority are different shades of brown, which looks typically Indian.
@@Pihu523 nah many Indians have same skintone like aria even me and my frnds have it and same figures they just doubting bc they are judging through their little knowledge.
The fact that you refer to people of color as "dusky" is what propelled this entire debate....and it saddens me.
@@gwynmcc I am not making them inferior by saying dusky. My own skin tone is dusky and I have zero problem with that. It's just general idea what people of other countries have that all Indians are dusky. I am just talking about them who categorise Indians by their skin colour.
@@gwynmcc I think it’s just Indian vocabulary.. do you think we Indian will call each other “people of colour”? I mean aren’t we all just poc😅.. so it’s like a shade card of beige and brown.. dusky, wheatish, fair are like vocabs that aunties use (trying to be polite but you know what they mean)
