Indian K-Pop Idol Accused of Skin Bleaching Goes Viral in China? Colorism, X:IN Aria & Fair Skin | In this video I discuss X:IN Aria (Malayam former child actress from Kerala), Korean reaction to her, colorism in kpop, along with skin whitening & beauty standards in Korea (Asia). The history of K-Pop group XIN and first Indian K-pop idol Blackswan Sriya Lenka are also discussed. Everything from Twice promoting skin lightening cream Scarlett Whitening, marketed with before and after photos of people bleaching their dark skin, to Stray Kids being an ambassador for skin whitening kbeauty skincare is covered. Receipts from a TikTok user expose the beauty standard for Black K-Pop trainees. I also talk about celebrities selling glutathione supplements and pill treatments like Astro Cha Eunwoo for Luxxe White and SM Girls’ Generation SNSD Yoona for BB Lab. K-Pop idol CLC Seungyeon bleaching her skin is also included.

I officially started writing this script on April 8th and only just finished editing the full video. Some necessary amendments were made to the script and other parts were cut out last minute due to recent issues, but the overall script was completed early May. This video is independent of any other scandals that happened after May 1st.
Wanted to talk about this since it’s an important issue.
FYI: On June 7th, one of the Korean members of X:IN, Chi.U, announced her departure from the group. X:IN now has 4 members and they’re currently looking for someone to fill the empty spot. What a mess
wait why did chi.u leave?

Oop similar to BLACKSWAN’s situation back in tonight era 😭
@@Baby-qr3ex deja vu🙁
@@Baby-qr3ex I feel like that was a little different since Hyeme already spent years in Rania and her contract was expiring. Chi.U was a freshly debuted idol, it’s strange to leave a new group this early as a rookie. She was a soloist before joining X:IN though, which definitely makes a difference
People need to know that there are fairest of the fair INDIANS too. And when i was in my teens , i was darker than what i am today. Thats because i wouldn't use sunscreen. No proper skincare, playing in the sun for long hours . Now my skin has got lighter . Im not fair but my skintone has become lighter from before. That doesn't mean ive bleached my skin. And there are many friends of mine who went through the same.
Good thing sunscreen does not prevent you from tanning, the girl whitened her skin that's it. 🤷🏽♀️
@@wendyk5489 Korea is colder than india so your skin can get lighter. Even if you stay their for 1 week you can still see the effects but your skin will get back to original skin tone if you come back home. And using sunscreen and skincare products can remove your tan making you lighter. Also skin whitening is not permanent you have to get it every month to stay white. She might or might not have gotten skin lightening until she accept it we can't be sure as there are several reason of skin becoming lighter. And it is really sad to see how y'all know nothing and have no proof still blaming her of skin bleaching
@@iamyourgodofworldbeech skin color if inherited can't change without bleaching. I don't see any dark person getting fair in in Europe.
But you're still dark😂
Wait till they find out about NORTHEAST part of India. India is indeed very diverse and northeast part of India is a whole different looking people and culture. 😭
Hey North indian people are white
@@lalitakumarimahaur2195 not true.... Most of my North Indian friends are kinda dark
My biggest question is that, why are people so obsessed with light skin? The way they are taking light skin color too far make it seems like dark skin is underrated or it a dirt. People should know God made us all differently and every skin color is beautiful. Yes am black and i proud of it. There will be nothing that will make me try to change my skin color.
I agree that she had bleaching and it's common in India also, specifically major city like Mumbai, Delhi. But, accused her of plastic surgery is too much. Because, Aria's beauty are find anywhere in India , there are a lots of girls like her. But, I want to clear one stereotype is India have various skin tone. From white to black . She had light brown skin tone.
After Aria's debut, there was an interview where she was quoted asking people not to pit her and Sriya against each other. I couldn't find the exact quote in the video interview, but it's sad that her fans won't listen to her
Ya I think the publication that posted that made it up 😭 I checked the source interview too and I didn’t see Aria even mention Sriya (not in print or in the video)
@@AdeolaAsh That's so weird 😭 I assume she doesn't want people to hate Sriya. Maybe they cut out that segment for time or something
@@magicmike191v2 if that’s the case, I wonder how the other publication had access to it? Maybe they’re under the same company
@@AdeolaAsh I think they are
@@magicmike191v2 ahhh ok! That makes sense
Aria and sriya both are beautiful
Wow I had no idea all these groups endorced skin whitening products, and the fact that it was recent too 😬

@@Ichigo-dh9rdskin bleaching at 16! That's really crazy. Also the fact that Fair & Lovely was rebranded to 'Glow & Lovely' cuz it got backlash and STILL sold regardless like nothing is just amusing.
nakli skin whitening jo skin ko aur kharap karta hai.. some of my friends skin got dry and scally by using it.. and also u cant us eother product as it cause irritation
This is why I 100% support BLACKSWAN to the fullest they do NOT change to fit “Korean beauty standard” they are beautiful the way they are (BRATZ DOLLS OF KPOP) it’s sad that aria changed her self and her fans are colorist when most of them have dark skin too… it’s projection they hate themselves so use aria as their full front/personality
Exactly. This is why it is important we have more and more brown / dark skinned idols to prove these colourists wrong
Yes. And everytime I come across a video of Sriya, I almost ALWAYS see Aria stans hating on Sriya and her tan skin and it's annoying.
To be honest, not all of Aria’s fans have dark skin. Some of them are pale and are just being colorist to Sriya for the fun of bullying and wanting Aria to be more popular than her. It’s not all self hate
@@bangpds_lost_son4549 no one said you should stop loving Aria. They just want you guys to stop being colorist to Sriya. Like I said in the video 11:33 focus on supporting Aria instead of degrading others. Blackswan fans wouldn’t even be concerned had it not been for Aria’s fans harassing Sriya and Blackswan in the first place
@@bangpds_lost_son4549 In what way does this video degrade Aria? What is false in my video? Be specific
Honestly Blackswan's company are a big mess but I'm so glad they didn't try to change the girl's physique to fit "eurocentric standards"😪
At first when I saw her pre-debut pictures I assumed she used a filter but her bleaching her skin is sad. she looked absolutely STUNNING with her original skintone
Fr
Korea is racist so no options
Maybe it’s really just a filter. They whitewash their idols with filters so much
not skin bleaching. iv drips.
@blatist The problem is that skin bleaching is terrible for skin and colorism is really bad
I understand that people think she bleached her skin and it is quite likely true. I just want to put it out there being from the same background as aria , that skin tones can change according to how much sun your exposed to. I personally experience myself tanning and having a darker complexion in summers (especially when I’m in India ) and having a fairer complexion during winters. Although it’s possible she did some skin bleaching I think there’s a lot of complexion change due to change in environment and perhaps being indoors more.
Exactly. I went through that same. As a teen , i was darker because i didnt use sunscreen, playing in the sun or too much sun exposure, no proper skincare, climate was too hot. Now im lighter than what i was before. So many friends of mine have gone through that same. Also many friends of mine are so so fair and they are Indian. I live in the North-East and there are beautiful women who also look like korean actresses. That doesn't mean they got surgery to look like that. Its genes. People from outside need to understand that Indians are not only dusky or dark. We vary from fair to dark skintones and every state has unique features.
It realky does change according to environment. I have also experienced it many times when i go back to my village it just changes even in just 10 days and it changes again when i go back to town
i feel like these companies are only trying to be “inclusive” with their groups cause they’ve seen how popular blackswan has gotten... like abeg,, BS and lumina have been through a LOT to get where we are now 💀
Lol exactly! Everyone wants to ride the Blackswan wave now that they’ve seen proof that foreign idols from non E/SE Asian countries have fans- but they want the clout of a diverse group without a diverse appearance
FR. Even though Dr is a scumbag, I am happy that he didn't force the girls to bleach their skin
exactly that what i was thinking why the xin group company only marketing aria and her looks where others in her group are more talented and also good looking. they know they cant beat blackswan in talent so let beat in beauty oops i mean whitewashing
As a Indian, i am proud of both the idols sriya and ariya. I don't know why indian fans are toxic and not supporting both of them instead comparing them .In my point of view both of them are wonderful. Why we Indians are always fighting among us , honestly we need to support both of them becoz they both are our pride of india.India people has pale to dusky skin
tone that's natural that doesn't meant to their talent that we must accept. In 90's and 80's we have huge colouration issues in india but still now we have the same problem, when we can solve this problem ,what other countries think about us? It is not only a problem for indian idols ,each and every indian born in dusky colour was criticised by the people of india. We are the future generation of india we need to exit this problem or else dark people will not get any opportunities in acting or anything else.We need to stop those issues. Even if both two are fair or dark we need to support both of them as a indian."colour doesn't deserve your talent".
(Please pin me)
Pathetic and funny , as an indian i don't understand how people in india even watching this racist koreans, They are the racist capital of the world
I wholeheartedly agree as an indian🖐🏻
There are very few people like you who don't spread hatred otherwise social media has now been equivalent to hate platforms.
"Supporting someone while not degrading or comparing others". I guess people have forgotten such basic values.
I wanna ask such people in general:
If you don't like someone, can't you stop degrading and posting shitty comments on them? You can ignore them, right? How do even feel good after speaking bad?
Even if someone goes through minor changes to upgrade themselves, it is still their choice. Don't you non-celebs upgrade yourself with time, your mentality, your strength, or your dress sense, or take care of your skin with home diy or market skin routines to look pleasant? Its all ok.
People who think that sriya isn't preety are really blind i mean just look at her features......she is perfect
That's so sad. Sriya doesn't deserve that kind of hate at all. And I actually saw Aria fans doing this. I just blocked or muted them bc my focus is on Blackswan and what they have going on. And when ppl have a group that they like or love, that is busy, one doesn't worry about what another group is doing. Hating on Sriya isn't going to bring more fans to your group. If anything, it's going to turn them off.
I also feel like her dedut was rushed to compete with Sriya. Especially given what she said in her interview. Her company made it really obvious.
Thank you. The company disgust me. Like Aria couldn't indirectly tell her solo stans to stop?🙄
@@rosieosabutey1448 how is she supposed to say that? Do you think kpop idols especially newbies are allowed to do something without their company knowing??

I had no idea who she was until her name kept popping up during Blackswan's comeback in the comments. That is so foul. Of course people will try to pit two girls living their life against each other. But for them to also wanna uphold colorism, and put down Sryia? That's a new low. Sryia looks closer to the majority of India's population, and to Aria before the debut. Her complexion is gorgeous and I was so glad to see DR not trying to cover it up. Let both girl shine and work towards their dream in peace
I was so shocked and disappointed to see so many Indians being colourist to Sriya.
The MEPC situation has gotten a lot more crazy, they use AI and photoshop to edit all of their new girls, making all the Indian girls pale, as well as everyone else dangerously skinny. Everyone SHOULD go and look at this, no one is talking about it
Ugh that company seems very shady.
They still look good without it. That's stupid
The colourism in Kpop is awful and honestly even DR has failed the Swans sometimes. But they seem to be improving so I hope they will keep it up and show the industry that real diversity wins.
she looks very indian indians can be fair and dark skinned and our shades change based on the seasons
I agree Indian people have various skin tones. Where I’m confused is the seasons part. Aria was darker in the winter and lighter in the spring. X:IN just had a summer comeback and Aria is still much lighter than she was during the winter. I’m not saying it’s guaranteed skin bleaching happened, but at the same time, seasonal tanning shifts don’t really explain her skin tone difference as people usually get darker in warmer months and Aria actually got lighter in warmer months
@@AdeolaAsh she could have bleached her skin but the climate in south korea is very different than india. It is very possible she could have become lighter by living there.
This is for real an important topic. Thank you for making a video on this Adeola!!🖤.
I remember when xin fans said they were more popular than Blackswan. A twitter user told them it only takes one comeback and no one will even remember xin. Look at it now. No one's talking about them. Even the hate they were given is not reaching because no one cares. We're supporting blackswan. Support your Xin girls if you want them to succeed too, don't waste your time hating because it brings you nothing
The way this is so true . The twitter user was right 😭
Broh who tf says indian peoples are not beautiful huuh come to my state in uttrakhand you can't easily found anyone with bad skin tone or whatever is this but we love all the skin types ❤

I am an Indian , and I came from Jammu and kashmir and I have a proper fair skin, it means I’m not an Indian??? What an illogical concept😂
I literally said at 9:57 that Indians can be naturally pale. I guess you didn’t watch the whole video?
Hi 👋 I'm from India and my skin is fair but not that white. I visited my relatives in 2016 who lives in London. I stayed their for like 3 months or something and literally my skin lightened about 2-3 shades. When I came back home my siblings asked me what I used. Idk y it happened but Maybe same thing happened to aria too. As y'all know india is a very hot country so shifting to colder country might be making our skin tone lighter.
I don’t know if Aria bleached her skin or not but a few things are worth mentioning:
1. The pre-debut photos don’t look too off from the photoshoot ones and in different childhood pictures her skin tone is darker or lighter. Looks like Korean style white makeup and lighting play a huge role. Like other idols, they are making her skin look lighter. I don’t think she would need skin bleaching to achieve the light skin. The tricks they normally use seem more likely, especially it looks like her makeup is too light for her.
2. Sriya is the first Indian idol but she technically did not debut with their comeback yet when x:in started performing so Indians were excited. But Blackswan seems to have a much larger fan base and support.
3. Aria went viral in China because she fits their beauty standard of big eyes and small face and was being compared to Dilraba.
4. The “Eurocentric” features is wrong to me because Indians come in all type of features. She doesn’t have “Eurocentric” features because she is Malayali and she has those features. It doesn’t make sense that she has “European” features. She looks malayali. There is no one way for Indians to look, even though some people might be used to the stereotypical look of “Indian”. Maybe they meant that she has features that meet European beauty standards? Well she has features that meet a lot of beauty standards. But I hope people don’t generalize how Indians look.
Hopefully they both are successful and don’t get mistreated because of their skin/ethnicity. Sriya is so talented and Blackswan deserves more recognition. Looking forward to their new promotions.
😮
The ironic part is they try to bring sriya down because of her brown skin now my brown skin girl is making wave in the industry, just one blackswan comeback shut them up now they are bagging brand deals left and right, invited to the waterbomb and also going on a tour, everybody is talking about blackswan because they're are visuals with talent and not even hateful colorist comment could stop that.
I am proud of my brown skin
good job adeola idols endorsing whitening creams still in 2023 wow !!! i love being black and im excited for all the dark skinned beauties taking over kpop right now
Thank you for watching 🥹🫶🏾
She has a natural beauty 😍
hmm as a indian woman,, before puberty my face skin colour was tan but after i became adult my face colour changed and i become 1-2 shades lighter especially with skincare and when i use makeup it makes it more lighter idk why lol (ion even use foundation). it was natural and i feel south asians dont have one uniform colour throughout their bodies like my thighs are lighter but my arms are more tanned and ofcourse like some comments have mentioned it could also be because of change in environment, staying in more and less uv exposure. its not always cuz of skin treatments,, tho it is widely used in kpop industry. anyways comparing both shriya and aria is really dumb imo
by skincare i dont mean that i used whitening stuff...just normal skincare, and regular usage of sunscreen
Most girls complete puberty by 18. Aria was 19 when she went to Korea for training. In December 2022 she was brown 9:00 by her debut in April 2023 she was pale white 8:56 I understand everything you’ve said about puberty, lack of uniform body color, environmental factors etc which is exactly why I said it was a possibility there was skin bleaching, not a guarantee. Black people also don’t usually have a uniform body color, get lighter/darker according to the seasons, and can also get lighter with age. Most people with darker melanin, regardless of race or ethnicity, have this. My motivation for making this video was to discuss the issue of colorism in K-Pop, Korean entertainment companies trying to use diversity for clout while also enforcing colorist beauty standards, and the kpop fans who also feed into the colorism. From the reaction I’ve gotten to this video, I’ve learned a lot. Many people saw this video as me trying to insult Aria when in reality, even if skin bleaching did occur, I would only feel sad for her as I do for any woman who is made to conform to systemically discriminatory beauty standards. Moving forward, I will likely avoid talking about anyone who isn’t Black in regards to this nature as to not cause offense.
@@AdeolaAsh thanku for sharing ur pov, i perhaps did not phrase my perspective correctly and i may have overlooked some of the points u made. i appreciate u taking ur time to explain. ill try to be more mindful!

All k-pop idols use filters and bleach there skin even in some of Shreya's pic they white washed it with editing! What ever she do but aria's natural facial features are damn good! Skin colour doesn't matter! #aria #xin #ready
I am an Indian with very pale skin. in India you'll find brown, dark or black , yellowish white and pale skin people it's not hard to find different skin tone in India and as I can see aria I don't know if she really bleached her skin or is this because of Korean climate or something like that
Climate does change your skin tone.....cause when I was in our town i was a bit dark but when I moved out I have become pale
She looks very Indian to me all indian don't have the stereotypes of hooked nose, same tone of brown skin etc. We come in many shades and shapes.
Omg this is so funny to me. Her obnoxious solo stans literally dehumanised and degraded Sriya to defend someone that has bleached her skin 😂😂
I'm shocked but not that shocked I mean, I saw x pic where she's pale, but then I saw y pick where she's tanner
@@Everythingz127I am not shocked too at all. This makes her colourist fans look even more stupid since she was literally the same skin tone as Sriya
Most of the fans just focus on the beauty standards and this fact is priority for every company.
By the way thank you to reveal the actual ground reality of these groups.
The kpop industry is really confusing sometimes, like can't you appreciate both idols without comparing them to each other?
I think it's the fans when it comes to things like this. Kpop fans can be super embracing sometimes but super toxic sometimes.
I can't stand colorism and these comments from Aria's fans shown in the video are so ridiculous.
From the pictures alone, Sriya is on the light-skin side of the brown/black spectrum. She is barely any darker than Aria for me. So comparing their complexions and putting down Sriya for hers is so childish.
And I am going to be honest, I did not know the Aria girl, so without any info, I thought she was Chinese. She kind of looks like Pinky (former Pristin member).
As for the skin bleaching products: big sigh of despair.
Between these whitening products and the super light foundation, idols who don't naturally have a pale skin be looking like ghosts (and the difference between the idols' original skin tone and the make-up is so visible sometimes, especially around the neck area and at the top of their foreheads).
Also still don't understand why pale skin is called "fair" skin. There might be some historical explanation for it but I would still side-eye the term.
Apparently “fair” used to mean “good” like “fair weather”. So it seems “fair skin” is to “good hair” in that sense 😭 historians are still trying to figure out the origin though so I’m not sure. I never liked the term either
@@AdeolaAsh Not the "good hair". Now that's hitting too close 😭.
Thank you for the explanation. I did think it was something like that, but it does not make much sense for me given that English is not my first language and there is no such thing as "fair skin" for pale skin in my native language (I guess the closest would be "skin as white as snow").
Anyway, thank you for the reply and for your very informative video(s) 👍🏾.

I knew it! I knew Sriya was the first Indian k-pop artist to debut. Colorism is a big problem in India too. India has much bigger issues to deal with, so tackling colorism takes a back seat. The beauty industry and the entertainment sector normalized colorism, and other cultural factors also played a role.
Bruh she is already fair 😭...u guys actually like every south Indians r brown?...
Did you watch the video? I literally said at 9:57 that Indian people can naturally be pale. Please watch the video before jumping to conclusions
I don't know if she has used any bleaching agent as people are comparing her predebut and debut snaps bt the Indian skin tone changes according to the environmental changes, nutritional changes. It’s pretty weird that it seems like that’s the only thing K-pop Stan’s care about as a kpop stan myself there where different K-pop idols from different countries and different races and nobody ever paid them any mind but just bashed half of them like Fotu for example it seems like it satisfies them for some odd reason when they find somebody that suits their standards and I have heard absolutely nobody talk about her talent at all why does nobody pay attention to that instead of Korean beauty standards then talent
1:24 Aria is absolutely gorgeous in every sense of the word
not only east asian beauty standards that praise pale skin, also indian beauty standards, so if she did bleach her skin, i cant blame her, not that i support skin bleaching but alot if people does it in the kpop industry
To all my dear foreigners let me clear it that not every Indian is dark or brown we have varieties of races, skin colours, languages that's the reason why India 🇮🇳 is the most diverse country in the world 🌍❤️.
I already said at 9:57 that Indians can be naturally pale. I guess you didn’t watch the whole video?
6:02 My Gosh... She is supremely beautiful
Sis we need you now more than ever they been getting wreckless I think it’s time for another compilation of these delulus favs and CA
We cannot say that she bleached her skin, i mean her childhood picture and her teen pic won't count cuz we usually exposed our skin to the sun alot in our childhood and teen, that's why it looks burnt and dark even if we have fair skin. I myself in my childhood had very dark skin cuz of lots of sun exposure but now I'm so fair that everybody say girl don't u walk out in sun, u look so fair😅. But my real skin is fair and i don't bleach my skin. So it can be possible cuz of that reason and also dark skin doesn't mean not beautiful, it is beautiful as well like fair skin, but if she did it then also it's her choice, no matter what people say.
There's another girl who came even before Shreya but she is in Z-pop and therefore not recognized as a kpop idol even tho Z-pop is just Kpop but with all different nationalities...The girl named is priyanka who is dark in skintone and obviously received massive hate for that
She changed her beautiful name
She changed her beautiful hair
She changed her beautiful brown skin
she did this under pressure because of so called k-pop standards
Tf you smoking most of Bollywood actor use different names you don't know stage name i guess?? And when you are in an industry you have to work according to it
It’s always a great time when Adeola uploads. I do wish the upload wasn’t centered on something like this. It’s sad that people don’t realize two things can coexist at the same time. We can have both idols and enjoy them. But it’s even more sad that she may or may not have been forced/pressured into lighting her skin to fit a ridiculous beauty standard. If the people who scouted her saw her beauty as is then why not leave her be??
Please, Please pretty please post again, Adeola. I love your videos even when the truth hurts me a little😂
She looks better with her skin tone
Aria was never a dark if u have seen earlier photos but a light shade and in korea she's accessible to get all the k-cosmetics at every possible way and eventually making her shade from light to lighter making such vids of her and adding I like her as a mallu comparing with sriya both are excellent at their own perspective why the comparison we indians are a mix culture of skin shades then comparing sriya, oh god!she was brown not light bro look properly "she bleached her skin"the korean makeup will make u pale if you are a lighter shade I know you're not hating just being extra caring towards aria -love from 🇮🇳
I also want to add that the Aria girl is more beautiful with her darker skin. So sad. Now she looks like one of the many plasticized ones.
Yes i am a xin fan but i also support black swan 🙂
I dont think aria has done anything cause her body is still darker if we compare it with her face that means she has gone thru whitening process n all!! Rather its a makeup i guess.... On top of that idk why did she got viral for her childhood pic? Arent every kpop idols in childhood looked tan if we compare them to now? I can even name some popular idols under this cmmnt section but i dont want to be get dragged lmao
She didn’t go viral for a childhood pic, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. As I said at 9:15 the Korean makeup style uses lighter face makeup
@@AdeolaAsh Nah m not blaming you...Your video was on point... I just saw few posts in ig that few koreans and chinese ppl were questioning whether she is brown or smth? And if she is...Then why did she lighten her skintone etc etc.....
People will judge no matter what
Indians kpop fan really stopped supporting Shriya because of Aria
So sad 😮
She has Indian features, not Eurocentric. Indian features are diverse.
By Eurocentric, they mean her features meet European standards of beauty, not that her features are European
So true every indian can relate 🥺❤️
My opinion people should recognize they're can be beautiful with their own way i love blackswan they're don't use any products in order to change their skin
Skin blessing is not a sin or a crime!!! Aria was formerly tanned before, however, she has now lost her tan. And because she is a K-pop idol, she must conform to Korean beauty standards!! And what a weird topid to discuss lmao
I never said it was a crime. Saying it’s weird to discuss colorism in the Korean entertainment industry is exactly why the problem will persist. Problems can’t be dismantled without being addressed
ok karen!
@@99999573 Go find the right person to have a debate sis
Aria is South Indian Fair skinned girl
And Sriya is north Indian light dark skinned girl.
Korean agencies wants Fair skinned contestants It's very Racist.
It's not the point of the vid tho
See kid a south west Indian is more lighter than East india.
Are African Americans fair
Than Syrians??
Just coz the speak English
her features are so attracting she didnt need pale skin.
We Indians comes in many colours depending on were u come from and many diffrent people live in India. Its like small countires with there own culture and traditions. There are white indians dark indians asian looking indians its like melting pot. Its all genetics not bleach.
She said that in the video. 9:57
It's like they want nothing to do with black😢
She looks pretty in her natural color
Good luck to Aria but Blackswan is the only group I am gonna support for the much needed revolution they brought to the industry and to the world in general ❤️
BlackSwan on top
She didn't bleach her skin people.. her skin tone is same as before😂😂
Nah she lightened for sure ain't no way skin color changed from child to adult 💀
She didn't do plastic surgery but she Def skin lightened.
First time im seeing a thumbnail where before and after both looks good
Dude she was tanned as she was from Southern side now when she was shifted to north west side her tanning went off she was naturally beautiful .......
love from blackswan
She is so popular for she was a child actor back in india
So much stereotypes surrounding Indians. Just because she is light doesn't mean she has bleached her skin, I have seen indians with much lighter skin naturally.
I am an Indian, you should see me in summer and in winter, I am almost 3 skintones darker in summer due to sun exposure, in winter with less sun exposure i look much lighter. Never used make up, never used bleach, never had a facial. I don't think she underwent skin bleaching. Since I have started wearing sunscreen and taking care of my skin, it has started looking like it looks in winter. Skintones can fluctuate dramatically for medium toned skin.
Pre-debut Aria was still tan during the winter. People didn’t suspect she might have bleached just because she was light; It was because her skin was suddenly lighter in Spring when she debuted compared to Winter when she was still tan as a trainee. Since the company was exposed for telling another trainee she had to bleach her skin if she wanted to be in the group, this only fueled the suspicion. But it is also possible skin bleaching didn’t occur.
Could be lighting too…
Adeola ash we need you to do a another video pls🥺
I’ll be back soon, I’ve been dealing with illness
@@AdeolaAshi hope you get better soon❤
Get well soon.
I will tell u myself well i don't think so she used any bleaching products cause due to puberty your natural skin color comes again,it happened to me lol too i didn't even use any exfoliating products and u can't compare her younger self to her right now self lol,u guys are weird i myself has paler skin tone and u should before know that indian has pale-dark skin in India and even Why this skin tone is big issue lol.We are living in 2023,i and i think most of our generation support all skin types.
The skin tone comparison is between November 2022 and April 2023, not between her younger self and her older self. Did you randomly become 10 shades lighter at age 19 because of puberty? Lol
@@AdeolaAsh our shades change based on the place I am in I
literally become 2 shades lighter when i go to a colder place.
@@oishi_hosh2511 Aria got lighter as the seasons got warmer, so I don’t understand how your explanation would correlate here
This is why as an indian im never going to support that x:in group. They're song isn't even good. All they have visual, nothing special about them. Sriya is super talented and i personally find her more attractive than aria in terms of facial features tho both girls are pretty. Its sad that she gets the most hate from her own people just because of her color when most of them are dark skin themselves. Its funny how they always try to compare these two knowning damn well that aria is nowhere close to sriya in terms of singing, dancing, stage presence etc. No shade to aria tho. Self hatred runs deep within south asian.
I love x:in but their debut track was just horrible. However I stream the song everyday in hopes that they'll raise enough money to get better music in the future
Don't lump in Kashmiri and pakistani with you colorist indians. Only punjabi people on both sides and indian obsessed with skin tone
Im honestly only for BLACKSWAN
Don't they all? I thought if you had dark skin the agency forces the idol to bleach their skin.
Not all of them but a lot of them. Talking about it is taboo. A lot of K-Pop fans deny it. Aria’s fanpages are actually mass reporting my video, channel and social media right now just because I brought up what her Korean management did. They’re calling me slurs as well. It shouldn’t be such a touchy subject but it is for a lot of K-pop fans. I guess because it ruins their delusion of utopia.
Thank you for shedding light on this issue. Happy to see you, as always
Korea don't know which country won most miss world title 😂 and who is Aishwarya Rai 😂
Gigi looks mad light now too
I hope you post again soon!
It is possible that Aria’s company might have made her undergo skin whitening procedures, but tbh Indians have a really wide range when it comes to skin complexion. Pale w rosy flush, olive undertones, deep browns and even darker (and I must add that they are all lovely in their own right). Aria’s complexion really does not surprise because there are Indians who are naturally paler than her without any procedures. However, the main issue here is the obsession w pale, light skin and the abhorring disrespect shown towards artists/people who do not fit that ideal. I mean, look at Shriya’s beautiful skin that many from the western part of the world would absolutely die for. The more we open ourselves to different “flavours” of beauty, the more beautiful the world will begin to feel..
The reason aria got popular
Because she resembles famous Chinese actress
Before her beauty her resemblance was reason
If you want to be an kpop idols prepare to be first skin bleaching , then they measure your looks by perfect face, if it's yes then no problem, if it's no then you might be under surgery. Kpop becoming trash to do this kind of thing. Music should be listen by heart not appearance. I miss the old days. 😢
Blackswan proved you don't
Ik I'm late but you don't need to be whitewashed like look at blackswan? At first their agency thought they had to dose the makeup but at one point they just stopped, the Koreans do not bother too much (a large part)
She couldve had gotten lighter but not at this rate. Man this looks unreal and artificial. Mep-C already has a shady policy. Ngl.
Aria had gone viral because she fits the beauty standards more than sriya. Sriya has a more indian/south asian face while aria has more northeast asian face structure, like people from tukistan.
Lol she look Indian.
Look very north west Indian.
Are you stupid ?!😂
She looks 100% Indian ! Don't do random whataboutery here if you are so ignorant about other communities!!!
Aria has more north indian features
Sriya has typical Bengali and odia features you can tell easily
Do you even live india ? Her features are typical indian and no one even questioned her ethnicity
Well i don't get what you wanna say but one thing I know that these both girls are beautiful and again it is not necessary that she Take any procedure for being light skinned because i know many of my friends they are much more lighter than her they are not even use makeup on daily basis as well and you all know how much filter these companies used for shooting a single video it is all because of filter not because of bleaching don't bash her she is 21 year and also sriya is 20 yrs they still have so much to do they are on their path so stop this bull shit it can effect both mentally in additional whoever bullcraping about sriya and aria or wanted to make poles don't do that this is not good it can effect anybody mentality already these companies are enough to bully them so it's better we have to encourage them
Tell that to aria Stan. This hate train against sriya was started by them just because she's dark skinned. They were the one comparing both the girls and making colorist disgusting comments about sriya. What's truly ironic was most of them were indian with the same skin tone like sriya. I'm indian and Ik india is very diverse, I'm light skinned myself but I'm not going to deny the fact that most of our people are dark skinned. I funny how indian calls koreans racist while they're one of the most colorist people themselves.
@@peachyavacado colorism is disgusting whether it comes to darker skin or fair it is ridiculous i just wanna say to those people who are you to tell someone that you are not good enough who the hell are you
@@peachyavacado i appreciate but also two wrong doesn't make one right and i hate colorism but she doesn't encourage them to spread this kind of mind set she is just a girl thinking about her dreams it is fault of those people who claims them as aria fans and spreading this hate
Omg this is so basic and I don’t why our own indian people are not supporting aria India is a very diverse country with different culture, tradition, weathers states. Every state has different weathers and people living in different states having different skin tones, you can find darker to the lighest skin tone . I don’t know why people can’t digest the fact that Indians have different skintones. They have different face features along with different skin tones. Even some indians are more fairer than foreigners
And the other thing as a child we don’t take about our skin but with the growing phase we do start skin care inorder to reduce skin tanning so stop saying that she bleached her skin .
Aria has plenty of Indian fans
Her company is using too much whitewash and let me tell you almost whole south Korea use this right
