I know Fred. Last time I spoke with him, I thought he was upset with me, but that wasn't the case. Cumulus let him go from WLS-FM. In 1989, they knew the music was coming to an end, the format going all talk. Phil Duncan was the last D.J. on WLS-AM. It was the following month later in August 1989. Last song played was from the band Chicago, "Just You And Me". It was a shock because nobody knew until the last minute, at the end of Phil's show, there was no more music on WLS-AM.
I forgot how funny Fred was. I used to love listening to him.
