Is 2014 TCU the best team to miss the College Football Playoff?
UCF
Baba Booey University
Baylor
Ohio state
@@WDB2005 UCF is garbage, put them up against Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama, and you'll think twice.
Alternate title: train horn going off for 4 minutes and 47 seconds
I love that frog horn
@@BigRich1455 same
ACTUALLY, IT'S CALLED THE FROG HORN! BUT I CAN SEE HOW YOU CAN BE CONFUSION.
TCU used all of there fireworks for the whole season in just this game
That time in 2011 when Georgia Southern put like 300+ rushing yards on bama
😎👍👌
And here come the nutty SEC fans in 3...2...1...
Or better yet the time Georgia Southern beat Florida
@@thegreenhornet7749 I'm literally an Alabama fan
@@pigskin1287 I'm literally impressed
Man, as a frogs fan, it sure is bittersweet to see Trevone Boykin here
Boykin is literally Oklahoma states Spencer sanders but better. He had up an down seasons
2014 TCU was a dream
Mahomes looking average vs a Big 12 defense… idk about his NFL stock…
Oh yea the kids got a big arm but he’s definitely a project QB. The real gem of his draft class is that Mitch Trubisky kid at North Carolina 👀
@@pschighlights fr that kids been looking like he’s got a lot of taleny
Mahomes later reproduce his talents against the TB Bucs?????
@@pschighlights if Trubisky is a gem he would be on the bears for his entire😬
Partly because Mahomes was the only good player on that team
Gotta love the way the Texas Tech DB’s just give up at the end of every single play.
Interesting facts: TCU's OC for this game, Sonny Cumbie, played QB at Tech in '05. He's now the OC at TTU.
Tech's DC, who was fired prior to this game, gave defensive signals to every OC in our conference.
Our defense was still pathetic in every way. Not D1-caliber at all. Nothing excuses 82 points.
The coach of this terrible Texas Tech D is now a NFL head coach….WoW
Yeah, that makes no sense. I don't get it. The nfl has changed though
Least the QB is good.
Even crazier, Cardinals so far this year are undefeated. Some guys are just better in the pros than in college.
and he's kicking ass
@@8MoneyIzmyMission8 Kliff kingsbury sucks
As a Texas tech fan I remember this game all too well
At least it was tied and y’all were winning at one point
Exactly why I stopped going to the games. Fuck the student discount watching murder should be illegal
@@Jman3881_ I was also actually at that game
@@campbellburnett1259 can’t catch me driving to an away game just to be disappointed as always😭
Let’s not forget that they ran up the score on us to impress the playoff committee into getting into the top 4
That was a good TCU team
I can’t imagine the hell the defense went thru at the next practice 😭
After the first 10 points, TCU "came back" to outscore them 82 to 17
It was the first time that season TCU didn't score the first two touchdowns in one of their games. We had to put Tech in their place. 😉🐸
I literally just watched your 80+ point college football games video where this game was on it. Ironic
Those Tcu Teams with Boykin and Doctson were special
The big 12 has always had absolutely stellar defense. No question.
They had that fantastic game in Lubbock the next year.
Yep that game was crazy. A lot can change in a year.
What could the winning coach possible say when he shakes hands with the other coach? Good game?
I used to go to tech and that was the deciding factor to leave.
I don’t blame you if my school ever allows 80+ points Im automatically transferring no questions asked lol
Go frogs 🐸
Bye
Boy all you hear is that train horn blowing 🤣 non stop.
College Football One-Sided Rivalries
And this is the kid that the Chiefs drafted? 😂 dude is a straight project
I have to admit I was a little mad at KC for taking Mahomes over Watson but since then I don't think we regret it.
That defensive coordinator is so fired.
Big 12 teams used to score in the most ridiculous ways in the early 2010s
That time Georgia Tech put up 222 points on Cumberland
Surprised Boykin didn't really get a shot in the NFL.
He squandered any chance after he got arrested multiple times. He just got released a couple of weeks ago if I remember correctly. Hopefully he gets his life together and can do something with his football talent somewhere
@@Rational_Redneck yeah I looked him up and saw that. Hopefully he'll get another chance.
So did TT get rid of ALL their D coaching staffs after the game? That should also include scholarships on the D side.
I find it hard to imagine Patrick Mahomes being on the other side of an 82-27 game. Then again, I don't think he was as good in college as he is in the NFL. He was great at Texas Tech don't get me wrong, but nothing compared to the insane Super Bowl champion, MVP winner, and appeared in 4 straight AFC Championship games for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Nice!
I remember that game live thinking we (Alabama) would never have such an elite offense. Boy was I wrong!
It really is crazy how much Tua changed Alabama.
@@pschighlights for real, in 2018 minus the National Championship game, it's like a switch was flipped and we became an offensive juggernaut
@@CrazyWeatherDude but the next year, it seemed like your offense collapsed.
@@jarrodskufcagaming5203 we definitely did fall a bit, but our defense was just abysmal in 2019. It kind of overshadowed the offense and talent.
@@CrazyWeatherDude yep I remember Kirk Herbstreit saying they were gonna score 40+ every game if Tua was the starter in 2018 and I thought there was no way. Little did I know you guys probably could have scored 70+ in a lot of games if you really wanted to lol.
Me: Man who’s the QB for this Texas Tech offense cause they suck?
*announcers revealing it’s Pat Mahomes*
Me: Ahhhh, that explains… absolutely nothing.
This is necessary viewing for Tech hate week. Go Frogs
In the 2nd half Texas tech was like nah
I fr can’t believe I thought Mahomes was trash watchin him play against big 12
When I think big 12 I think this game
The time that Howard beat UNLV
The time Jacksonville State took Auburn to overtime
The time UL-Monroe almost beat #6 Florida
I’ve done the Jacksonville State and Louisiana games but I am still looking for the Howard vs UNLV game. If I ever find the full game, I will definitely make that video.
@@pschighlights yeah I’ve heard it’s very hard to find Howard vs UNLV
Do they even recruit defensive players in the Big XII? Are the defensive coaches all interns?
I have a video idea. If you haven't already, do game losing interceptions.
This tech defense was so bad that year that we had the best offense in the nation and still won half our games.
That Mahomes guy might have a future tho....
Kliff Kingsbury was playing prevent defense the whole game😆😆😆
Who the hell is Gray and did he go pro?
RB is pissed
North Carolina scoring 82 on old dominion
Ole Miss held them to half that in the Peach Bowl.
Halfway through the game, TCU was just playing for fun. Ole Miss only scored three on a sympathy field goal.
@@grondhero I'm an Ole Miss diehard and that was hard to watch.
I was scared anytime you see a big 12 team score high points you automatically assume it’s Kansas who allowed it💀 this is coming from Ku fan
Haha at least you guys have basketball
@@pschighlights this is true
@@zachhopkins56 🤣 i’m a bama fan and i’m embarrassed to even watch my team in basketball.
Didnt Wisconsin put up 80+ on Indiana past 10? years
Texas tech needed faster DB's
This was a demolition.
If #3 is the one that has to make the play, no chance, just gonna walk instead.
This game alone should have disqualified Kliff Kingsbury from ever being promoted to an NFL head coaching job.
Patrick mahomes was just like nah
Big 12 defense was down BAD
this game was close a point
TT atleast played like a half of football.
I expect a 82-7 or 82-10
Dang that TTU QB sucks getting blown out by that much man that kid is never going to make it anywhere ...poor guy. Probably thought he would go to TTU get drafted by some x-bird coach and win 3 superbowls in like 6 years. But man today probably a couch potato pouting to this day because of this game... 😢
Even then it wasn't all that impressive considering Texas Tech hasn't played defense in the last 30 years...The 2014 to 2016 seasons they gave up 40+ points 22 times(12 of those being 50 or more points and 5 of 60+ including this game).
Iowa State beat them 66-10 in 2016
Sam Houston State and FCS team scored 45 against them in 2015
SAM HOUSTON STATE 🤣
they was playing on rookie not all madden
I was at this game lol
Nice (unless you’re a TTU fan then I’m sorry)
@@pschighlights nah tcu fan
Tcu shoulda made the playoffs
THIS TEAM WAS AMAZING ALTHOUGH THEY DIDN’T DESERVE A THERE BIG 12 TITTLE AND THEY DIDN’T DESERVE TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS
Yea I know it’s their fault they lost against Baylor, but they were playing as good as anyone down the stretch of that season. I am positive they would have beaten Baylor if there had been a big 12 championship game that season.
@@pschighlights I AM TOO HONESTLY ITS THE BIG 12 FAULT THAT THEY DIDN’T GET A TEAM IN THE PLAYOFF CAUSE THEY NAMED TCU AND BAYLOR CO CHAMPIONS WHICH IF THEY PICKED ONE THAT TEAM WOULD HAVE A MUCH BETTER CHANCE AND THEY DIDN’T HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP GAME WHICH HURT THEM EVEN MORE SO HONESTLY ITS THE BIG 12 FAULT AS WELL AS TCU AND BAYLOR FAULT BUT IT ALL WORKED OUT CAUSE OHIO STATE WON THE NATTY THAT YEAR AND THEY BEAT BAMA WHICH I WAS HAPPY ABOUT

Patrick mahoms not his day😅😅
I'm not sure the Patrick Mahomes of today could have put the 83 needed on the board to win this game.
Gotta love coach keeping starters in with a 34 point lead halfway through the third quarter. The funny thing is that my bears were actually the reason for him being paranoid and trying to run up the score so much. Previous week he slacked off after taking a 24 point lead and lost to baylor in just 10 minutes
Don't forget Baylor lost their bowl game to Michigan st to end the season and Tcu blew out a S.E.C team (Ole miss) in the 🍑 bowl after being robbed of going to playoffs , far as the 3pts that bears beat the frogs by... everybody but Baylor fans remember some of the favoritism non calls and calls that helped push them on their home turf, 3pts didn't really damage frogs season, it was the Big 12 not having an extra game... now they got an extra game so they won't get penalized.
bears were never ranked higher on the playoff committee boards, and lost their bowl game.
That QB for tech looks awful. He has no NFL future.
Complete horse whipping . End of story
Ik mahomes is insane but he sucked in this game
