Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

I’m now irrationally convinced I could hit a hole-in-one on 16.
The gravitational pull is stronger than that of the largest black hole in the known universe. For the views.
It's amazing that in the first video, the shot on 16 is with a 2 iron, and some of the most recent ones are with 8 irons. Times have certainly changed.
Interestingly, #16 is one hole that has actually become shorter since the old days. Although, they still would be hitting 3 or 4 irons at today's yardage so still a huge difference.
And this is why aces have become more common there.
That’s for sure
Plus everyone knows what kind of shot can get you a hole in one on Sunday so the entire field steps up and tries it
@@Noah-hd2jeNicklaus hit a 6 iron back in 86, I think.
Getting a hole in one at The Masters has to be one of the greatest feelings ever.
Getting a hole in one anywhere would be pretty awesome.
@@markoman5267 Indeed but cherry on top would be at The Masters.
It’s like a buzzer beater or last second winning play, except you don’t win anything
@@markoman5267 I couldn't achieve can't in My, small, back garden.
Okay I am convinced that the topography around hole 16 is basically a giant bowl....
Love to see that all competitors are glad for the guy making the hole in one.. decent players ..
This is why I love golf. I stopped watching football because there's toouch hatred and abuse. In golf I find myself routing for literally everybody so I always leave with a smile on my face.
@@nasturt2 was going to post exactly this, favorite part is the reactions of the other players
Crazy the amount of them that are 16 on sunday
Some of the worst high fives ever captured on camera.
Shame really, because most of the holes in one here were pretty awesome, only to be spoilt by that, nice video regardless
People need to learn that you look at the other persons elbow, not the hand to get the aim right. I don't know why this works, but it really does. Especially if both are doing this.
Still, it is quite amazing how these highly coordinated athletes can't land a high five.
✋ (Damnit! Missed...)
Looks like hole 16 needs an adjustment 😂
It’s there for the crowd 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
0:42 everyone just casually walking across the fairway 😂
I didn’t catch that! What are they doing??? 😂
@@gavinfinch2393walking right across the shot on a Par 3 😂 mental
Acing 12 at Augusta and not keeping the ball is crazy lol
Yeah, but Curtis won the US Open that same year, so there's that. And he won it the next year ('89) too at Oak Hill where, in the second round there were FOUR aces on the 6th hole in one day, sadly none by Strange lol.
@@JohnSmith-mx8wp I mean I get it. Masters is special though.
23 holes-in-one at the 16th (as of 2022)!
Seems like this would be the record for most aces on a single hole at any course on the PGA tour.
Hmmmm, it's almost like maybe the green is funneled so that happens with regulatory
i never played golf, but i have to confess - this was so satisfying to watch.
The announcer in the first clip sounds like me when I'm forced to talk to family I haven't seen in decades.
It’s a voiceover
Seems like 16 is set up for hole-in-ones, you just need to get it in the right area and gravity will do the rest.
Like a miniature golf course
Legend has it that Kuchar tipped his caddy $.50 for the accomplishment.
That much? Wow! 😂
Legend has it Kuchar asked them to erase the tape so he wouldn't have to buy drinks.
And asked for change
I wonder why the caddy just doesn't hit a hole in one himself. I bet he isn't the only caddy to say hit it right of the stick on 16 lol
Craziest part of the hole video is the guy wearing the tie
The announcer says “Bedlam!” after the second one, but the people are mostly just applauding normally. How times have changed!
"Throbbing intensity"
Must have happened on the 6th of January.
1:01 “Throbbing intensity”. I can’t believe he said that without laughing.
Everything he said was such a burn, I genuinely laughed. The bone dry delivery makes it.
They make it look so easy!😮
Love these posts. Outstanding!
Brysons ace is just incredible.. His first ever hole in one and it arrives on a sunday at the Masters
The same women in the background witnessed a lot of them! She's historic!
That's actually the owner of augusta
@@ohwowthatsgood ummm pretty sure that’s it’s owned by Augusta National Inc. Not just one person. Is she part of the ownership group? What’s her name?
Katheryn Ryan
I noticed her as well, amazing!
Her name is Lindsay Brown. They interviewed her before, I forgot what channel
Crazy that Clive Clark hit a 2 iron on 16!
They told you that it was 190 yards. He used the technology of the era, when most clubs had a higher angle. Why are you surprised what club he used when you were already given all the information? Or do you just not know anything and still decided to speak?
Ignore the previous reply, he's just ignorant. I'm guessing Clive was a short hitter as a 2 iron for 190 yards sounds a lot of club even in those days
@@adameves5970 Yikes somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed
@@adameves5970calm down
I’m guessing Clive’s name was actually Howard!
8:55 - In 35 years of being a casual golf watcher, I don't think I have EVER seen a ball hit another ball on the green. Not only have I now seen one, I've seen one then go into the hole, and not only have I seen one go into the hole, I've seen it go in as an ace. The fact that it was a Saffer who sank it makes it all the sweeter. :o)
I love how you can see the improvement of camera work over the years, such as following the trajectory of the ball more efficiently and adding visuals. Although, a few of these shots look like Bugs Bunny assisted them. 😂
the commentary in the first minute is hysterical!
Wow..a hole in one on the 12th is so rare..even the cameraman was stuck..
What a trip that first clip is. So cool
Looks like that one jumping lady in the background (2016 on) from the ones at the 16th knows where it's at to be so lucky to see so many holes-in-one!
Who is she?
Ok that s just crazy!
As beautiful as all of these aces are, they will never beat Louis Oosthuizen’s truly magical and memorable albatross 2 on the par five 2nd hole in 2012!
Another thing is Louis must surely be the only player in Masters history to score a hole in 1, an albatross 2, an eagle/birdie 3, a birdie 4, a par 5, a bogey 6, and a double bogey 7 at Augusta National!
An albatross will always be better than any hole in one. Unless someone has a hole in 1 on a par 5 which doesn't seem possible
Love the early film
Yep. Pretty sure there’s no 2 irons being hit there anymore..
Hole In One Club ⛳
Tommy Fleetwood playing it very cool!
"a fairway of water"
You see where they are hitting it from? Much different than where they tee of today
@3:00 Chris DiMarco (Adult entertainment music plays) With 69, that was not the headline on his round!
Wow, golf seems really easy.
that shot from Pavin is sensational
So cool! I'm getting goosebumps already! Such a spiritual experience. Hope to go there one day. Please let me win the lottery...
🤣
The Louis Oosthuizen ace was by far the most impressive...The ball was like "Get out of my way...I've gonna get to the pin!"
I love how the blonde lady is showing a ton of emotion with each incredible shot. I don't know if it's the same woman, but based on her reactions, I have to assume so. Note: she is in the last few years of the master's.
i went back and looked from 2016 on -
shes there in the same spot - same person.
she is always there lol
Pavin's dunk has to be the best.
i simply cant get enough of the masters! who we got this year for the green jacket? love to see rory but just struggling to see it
I have a feeling a non American wins it this year. The last time the masters was played on April 11th to 14th with the year ending at 4 was 1974. Gary player won. In fact 5 international players have won the masters on April 11th to 14th. Player 74, Langer 85 woosnam 91,Faldo 96 and scott 2013.
Sheffler or speith
@@AidanHolland nice facts
I’m going Ludvig. Kid’s got the sauce
@@deemaliciousI believe Fuzzy Zoeller was the only first time participant to ever win. Tall task for anyone. He definitely has the game but geez how can you not figure Scotty won’t be in the mix.
8:18 “oh grandpa” did I hear that right? 😂
I dare any event sponsor to put a hole-in-one prize on hole 16
I love that when Bryson holes it, he grabs and hugs the closest, brightest person near him 😂
I think a hole-in-one should be one of the most exciting and rarest feats in golf, spanning decades of compilations, yet it still manages to make me want to nod off.
Nathan Green being +15 over then hitting that is fairly impressive
Love the early commentators “it’s in!..”
Congratulations Miss Woad, a fantastic achievement for you & I’m sure your family must be so proud of you.
Dude that dunked in 1992 is crazy. How can you do that?
Tend to see the same lady at the back of the 16th teebox for multiple aces. Does she have a reserved seat?
Saying "throbbing intensity" followed by "hole in one" on TV is wild.
how is that jumping lady always at the 16th hole?
Season tickets.
Did they move the tee for 12? 1:16 Looks so different
HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES!!!
I watch golf for the throbbing intensity.
Girl in the pink shirt had quite the day spectating.
Anybody else see the same lady jumping up and down for all the aces at 16 in the last 10 years lol. She must have a lifetime pass for Sunday's
I can't believe The Masters didn't spring for upscaling.
Does hole 17 have a windmill?
let's be honest, the 16th on sunday has become a little bit of a gimmick
“It’s in the cup! 😃👆🏆” 0:20
That one lady loves her some golf
Its in the cup... right in the cup 🤤
🤨
There's a reason that's always the pin placement for 16 on Sunday. You know someone might get it really close.
I was born in December, 1990. It's just not the Masters for me without the voice of Jim Nantz.
Is that the same lady jumping up and down in the background at 16 year after year?
The fact that nobody has gotten a hole in 1 at amen corner since Curtis strange in ‘88 is actually ridiculous
Louis' is the most insane.
What I've learned here is that I should go to the 16th if I want a hole in one
Is that the same lady jumping for joy ever since the 2016 Masters?. Just to the right when the camera focuses on the golfer. I swear it is, she jumps the same way everytime
2 iron into the 16th!
crazy from 2016 on has the same girl in the same spot every match lol shes seen alot of hole in ones!
So has anyone ever aced #4?
Jeff Sluman in 1992 is the only ace at #4, unfortunately it wasn’t televised.
Is the 16th hole broken?
Curtis with a very Strange celebration.
How about the one bouncing off another ball and still going in for a hole in one?
How many slam dunk Pavin had?
That surface was easy to hit whole in one. All you need to do it land the ball at the higher part of the surface and it will rolls down into the whole.
If the ball that was sitting on the green that got struck went into the cup, would the original guy be credited a hole in one? I assume so 🤔
Hole 16 should be a par 1.
How is everyone hitting that 16th hole? What are the chances of that?
The 16th is a FUNNEL
Idk much about the masters, so they play the same course every year?
1:00 Throbbing Intensity?
Black Hole 16
Dont know much about Golf but if these are all the televised Hole-in-ones, does this mean Tiger has never hit one at the Master's?
Throbbing intensity 👀
I guess there's never been a real-time hole in one as its being announced? These are all "just moments ago" replays of hole in ones
The Masters Hole In One Trick Shot Olivia Rodrigo Guts World Tour Golf 9:05
If your going to ace a hole at the masters its gotta be 16❤😂😊
12 more famous but I wouldn’t care as long as I can just experience playing there👍
@TheMasters Where is the pin going to be on #16 on Sunday? I plan on betting BIG on "Yes" there will be a Hole in one!
Why do I see the same people every year in the background at hole 16
look carefully - there is the same woman generally wearing a pink shirt or pink pants who is in the front row for many of the hole in ones at the 16th and she jumps up and down with her arms in the air each time - Katheryn Ryan apparently
Change the 16 to a Par 1 lol
Don't have a Sunday Ace on the 16th at the Masters? Bro, do you even golf?
Is this the same hole for most of them? The 12th?
The 16th
Happy Gilmore accomplished this on a par four.
Why did Curtis Strange throw the ball into the water?!
Well, he's a little strange.
