I guess the most unbelievable part of this story would be people choosing to live in Arizona without electricity, no ac in 112° and above when they could chase good weather and resources
There's actually parts of Arizona like Flagstaff and in Holbrook over towards the mountains where is actually nice in the summer, people there don't even have air conditioners I could'nt believe it when I visited a friend of mine there, he said the average temperature there where he lives is like 75-80 degrees in the summer.

yeah if they want any chance at repopulating they need as many children as possible in everyone with everyone way and even then their descendants would survive only a dozen of generations before inbreeding would finish them
Honestly not that bad from an objective standpoint, it would still end terribly after a couple generations but you'd technically get a couple extra non-horribly deformed kids.

The message of this movie is really shity actually, it tells you if you're not pretty or perfect then you're not worthy and that's kind of a crappy thing to put out there to kids. It's exactly why they're judgmental pretentious, and pompous now, seeking every little bit of attention they can get on Tik-Tard. But again, I see nothing wrong with Carol, I think she's beautiful and got an awesome personality.
I would have picked Carol any day of the week and she's got that stealthy sexiness about her and those big eyes.

Imagine being in a totally new society with no rules, and insisting on monogamy.
Its almost as if its the best system to implement if you want a properly functioning and civilised society to form. Our ancestors figured that out a long time ago. Getting rid of it would simply lead to it being reinstated again in the future once people rediscover its necessity

One thing I never got in these movie or shows is that, people would think everyone in the world died, but it seems like to me that what these people dont bother doing is traveling out, or even going very very far away to right down where you live like he did but only outside of the city, and didn't even leave the adress or a small location place.
But also imagine being alive after months of thinking your alone, and rush like hell to marry the only person you meet, but also choose to for some reason not at least be a somewhat nice person if your not going to be decent...I'm beginning to realize that the main man and Karal are more perfect for eachother due to their flaws than their actual likes...basically a bickering stupid family based on lies and false hopes than actual likes, and just generally being good people.
