If anyone was wondering: chain an odd number at the beginning. That way you won’t have to skip two stitches at the end of the first row of the mesh stitch😊
My second tutorial of yours, both so easy to follow and absolutely love the pieces!! Thank you Anna!! :)

I am truly a beginner as in I just learned how to loop, and stitch yesterday. I just wanted to say that as a true beginner that doesn't have anyone that knows how to crotchet to help me this tutorial made me feel like I can take on my first project. I just wanted to say thank you as I know this took quite some time to film and edit but you did it anyway and it will impact many as it has for me. Its very much appreciated. I just subscribed. Thank you !!

thanks for the tutorial!! mine top actually didn't go good because I made it too small for me and it didn't pass through my shoulders, so I turned it into a tote bag!! it's not the top, but I liked the result, so thanks for the video anyway
She is toooo goood at crocheting she is better at me
how much yarn did you use for the top? grams/yards❤️looks gorgeous
Thanks for sharing this tutorial. It’s very well explained. Some pointers please how to add sleeves.
you could try doing everything I did in the video and then working in the round around the arm opening with the mesh stitch until you have the desired sleeve length!
Thank you for your reply😊
Hii the tutorial is super great and can't wait to try it☺.......can you please tell me how much yarn did you use in terms of gram🙏
Hi, what would i do if i wanted the holes spaces to be larger so more of a gap. Many thanks
Can you measure the length of your full bust and divide by 2 to get the measurement for the panels??? Makes sense to me, compared to the percentages.
do you have to do an even number of chains to begin?
hiii, help!. I keep repeating the front panel because as I keep doing it I think it is small and wouldn't fit. What is the way to know if it would fit or not to my body. I did the thing you said about measuring the chest but I'm not sure it will fit so I stop doing it so I don't waist yarn.
Is it okay to use weight 3 yarn instead for this top?
Hi! I really want to make this top, but I have a bigger bust and I wonder if the lower part of the top won't look a bit loose and not super snug around my waist, has anyone with a bigger bust tried it? thankss :)
Can I add sleeves ?
Wow saluti dall’Italia ❤😊
Hi, may I ask what is number 1.35 means that you multiply with your bust measurement? Really helpful tutorial, can’t wait to try it! Thanks!
hey! that’s just what I’ve found works the best through my own trial and error, there’s no specific meaning to the number
But what does the 1.35 represent?
Heyy please make one more video about crochet sleeves!!!🥺
Found you on Instagram! ❤
🫶 thank you for being here!!
Love this tutorial but for some reason my work looks like it’s increasing kind of into a round half circle shape. I am using a bit thicker acrylic yarn from Walmart with the same hook as you. Can you please help me out maybe some idea as to why it’s doing this?
hi!! i’ve seen someone else have this issue and I think the best way to fix it is to make sure that your beginning chain row/single crochet row are LOOSE! the mesh stitch really stretches out and gets wider so if you don’t make your initial non-mesh stitch rows loose enough then they’ll be too tight in comparison with the mesh stitch rows that come after. however, even once you make those rows nice and loose I still notice a little bit of a curve and that’s okay because I find that it straightens itself out as you continue. but if it’s too much and becoming a semicircle like you’re describing, I think your best bet is to make sure that the initial rows are looser! lmk if you have any other questions :)
hi!! i started watching your vids a while ago and i love them!! could you do a tutorial of how to make a crochet tube top?? i’ve been wanting to do it for a while but i can’t find any tutorials
i’ll add it to the list! do you have a specific type in mind?
hi, just a question : when i do the stitch in the last little circle of the row, for the next row do i have to skip the first circle?
nope, you always go into the very first and very last loop! so you’ll go into that first one right after making it on the last row
14 inches length, 56 rows
(just a note for me!!)
May I ask what yarn is you use pls? Thanks
Okay just to double check, when we start a new row after we chain three are we suppose to slip stitch into the first loop or the second? I’m trying to figure out if I’m increasing on accident by ending my row with a slip stitch and chaining three and then going into the first loop. As an individual I’m confused as to chain three go into first loop or second ?
you go into the very first loop
Thank youu
Could you do this with a weight 3 yarn? I’m guessing it might be a little less “meshy” see-through but it’s all I have and might be close enough? lol if so, should I also bump up my hook to a 5?
yes you could try that! and yep, you’d probably also want to increase hook size. you might have to play around with it though and see what works best
@@anna-greeneawesome, thank you! Is it possible to add sleeves to this as well?
Hey there! i'm very interested in making your top but i have some questions! Would using a #3 yarn be possible to do this (only one i have rn)? if so what hook would you recommend me using like a 3 - 3.5mm hook? also would the end result be different like bigger holes or smaller holes? sorry for asking i'm super beginner trying to make this my first project hehehe
I’ve learned that as long as you use the recommended hook size on the yarn, the project should come out the way you want it to. I believe the yarn she’s using is a #2 . I’m sure if you used the #3 yarn with the recommended size on ur yarn then it should be ok. I hope this is helpful
I’ve noticed that I can waver 0.5 mm hook when it comes to the recommended hook size. For instance my #4 yarn requires a 5mm hook but I’m currently making a loose mesh pool cover up so I ended up using 5.5mm to make it a little looser.
could you use super fine / fingering yarn for this?
you could! you’d either want to use a smaller hook and this just have to do more stitches or you could use the same sized hook and the stitches will just be more open/loose
do you wear anything under the top or is the mesh close enough that it's not really necessary ? this colour is really cute on you btw
yeah I wear a skin-tone bra under!
Can you do a tutorial on how to make leg warmers
How many chains for a 36 bust
What color is this?
Thank you for this tutorial! But there’s something I don’t understand: why did you do 40% of the bust measurements for the front panel? And after, you do the same thing for the back so it equals 80% and not 100%… the top must be too tight no?
because it stretches out a lot as you do the mesh stitch! the only part that doesn’t have stretch is the chain which sits at the waist which is usually smaller than the bust
Can I use weight 2 ?
Premier cotton fair yarn?
Hey love the tutorial and idk why but my front part is always getting an triangular shape and is not staying like it should. Would be nice if you could help.
Thanks in advantage!
Hey! Can you clarify what you mean about it getting a triangular shape? Do you mean that it’s getting wider as you go? or is it getting narrower as you go?
@@anna-greene after time it’s getting more narrow
then that means you’re skipping stitches somewhere. it’s probably more likely that you’re skipping either the very first or very last stitch but make sure to go into every single opening each row
How many grams of yarn did you use?
140 g!
hi! is this doable and fitting for men?
yes ofc!!
How do i count the rows 😭
I show it in the video somewhere but you just zigzag up if that makes sense
is it normal that it's kindof curving at first?
hi!! i’ve seen someone else have this issue and I think the best way to fix it is to make sure that your beginning chain row/single crochet row are LOOSE! the mesh stitch really stretches out and gets wider so if you don’t make your initial non-mesh stitch rows loose enough then they’ll be too tight in comparison with the mesh stitch rows that come after. however, even once you make those rows nice and loose I still notice a little bit of a curve and that’s okay because I find that it straightens itself out as you continue. but if it’s too much and starting to look like a semicircle, I think your best bet is to make sure that the initial rows are looser! lmk if you have any other questions :)
Why the 1.35, what is...1.35 what is it representing?
I was curious as well- 😅
love all your tutorials!!!! pls do one of bikinis
As i am doing more rows it is kinda getting curved up and bending...
As an actual beginner this is such a poorly made video, the work is way too far away from the camera, making it almost impossible to see anything. Don't get me wrong, for people that are more advanced and have done these types of stitches multiple times it is probably easier for them. But for me, with this video I never know where to put my stitch because I can't see how you do yours, and wasting time on redoing stitches
i’m trying my best, thank you for the feedback 🤍
