- We've had our Toyota GR Yaris for well over three years now. It's had some great handling and grip improvements, but it's always been mechanically stock so we finally got an upgrade in power with dyno tuning using EcuTek by Chequered Tuning.

how did you mod the car for hub dyno 4x4 correctly? iirc there is a"problem" with AWD system for trying to put to 4x4 hub dyno. Thanks
The car is put in dyno mode. We have never had an issue with this car on an AWD dyno.
No footage of Dyno runs? so are we supposed to guess the KW and Nm of the new tune?

They taper off boost on purpose at the top end to protect your rods and pistons, please be careful!
I'm curious what gains are possible with a stock GR corolla and the same treatment?
Would be more power for sure, they have improved a few things with it, the Series 2 Yaris will have all of that no doubt.
So this would void warranty of course?

I remember hitting the factory 200kmh limiter in my old LX sedan with a series 1 VN V6 swap, back in the day. My mate and I thought we had blown it up, the cut was so severe! 😆 but mang mang!

For the Yaris, EcuTek doesnt support it yet, can only do it through map switching at the moment, which means draining fuel.
Is this ecutek or a custom tune? I don't know how it works.
Ecutek is the software used.

These engines are proven to be quite tough, they were built for mototsport.

Why would closing throttle to maintain a flat torque curve result in a slight slowing 💀 Makes no sense at all. The reason you don’t feel anything is that engine torque is literally flat and therefore torque to the wheels and acceleration is also flat. If they didn’t do this, there would be a big bump and then torque would taper off, which is not really satisfying as a driver, eg you aren’t rewarded for revving.
So boring 🤣

So you do the mods it will always be better then stock and more reliable
