Sheila Ferguson has to be one of the most beautiful women ever to grace this planet
I'm lucky enough to have Sheila as a personal friend, and I can say she's as beautiful today as she is in this video. This song moves me no matter how many times I play it!
This song is one of my favourite ever, give my regards to Sheila
Same here
Tell Shelia she has a new fan in Gulf Shores, Alabama!
This song bring,s many memories back to me when I was a young man
Greetings from.Tanzania. This song was a favourite in our radio station and all young people were crazy about it. I was in college and brings me a lot of memories. Tell Sheila we love her.
The BEST thing a woman can EVER ask you......sung by three beauties..pure americans !
Sheila Ferguson is such a beautiful woman and singer.
Elagrance class elegance cloths style that can not be duplicated love your music today's the music industry lacks all of the above thanks for the music and entertainment mary
As a grad nurse in Philadelphia, I had Sheila Ferguson's father as a patient. I never got to meet her although she did visit him before he died. His wife was a young Native American woman who never left his side.
There will never be a decade like the '70's ever again.
Lyrics of the seventies and eighties were mighty expressive, and were married well with beautiful melody. That's what makes them such classics.
simply classic and elegant. real singing.
I was a very a 10 year old boy with a transistor radio in my bedroom when this song came out. I heard and had a lot of dysfunctional in my life but when I snuck upstairs to my bedroom and my radio. Songs like this are timeless and make your heart filled with an inner piece, Even if its for a little while. A beautiful song by a band that should have been much much more famous.
this song is a master piece of production
Indeed.
After all these years, I still love it!
So do I .... and it's 2024 !!!!!
3 gorgeous women 1 gorgeous song !!
ORCHESTRATION, that's what I'm talking about. Inspirational and beautiful. Songbirds, The Dream Girl tradition.
Beautiful voices and harmony.
But we have Ariana Grande now... eh forget it

I was the chairman of our Prom Committee many years ago and am the Chairman of our 50th Reunion. These ladies could not perform at the prom, they were not yet born, but this majestic piece will be the reunion finale! Such voice, melody, harmony and style. Total class. We were blessed when God gave us this talent.
They had exceptional singing training I can tell. THAT'S singing! Wonderful live performance!
their voices are so very beautiful. ..i love them
The Heavens sent three great names,...Helen, Valerie, Sheila. You have advanced music.
Isn't that TWO if the Emotions names, too?
3 stunning ladies who knew how to sing
This song keeps popping in my head. It reminds me of my husband who died last year. He came back and saved me.
Takes me right back to the bicycle shop I hung out in as a kid!
These ladies were outstanding. No doubts about it.
I think this is my favorite live performance of this, you can tell they are singing live but they do so while still sounding close to the original. One of my all time favorite songs, it never gets old.
Correct - I love the song.
They actually did better considering there are no takes here to choose from like in the "original".
I was classic from our time I use listen this song everyday on stereo system in Bombay in 1974 soulful song
Now this is talent voices actually singing and not using gimmicks. Looking beautiful, dressing beautiful and singing beautiful with showmanship.
Ah I grew up with Faye Sheila and Valerie as the 3 degrees they had the most hits together . Sheila has the most amazing voice but their harmonies where terrific. Loved watching them on TV with their fabulous gowns on the were very glamorous .
Blacks are gifted, like Supremes, Platters and 💖🎈👏👍❤️
Three Degrees is very iconic. You know its them (1) their voice and (2) their choreography. I was still in grade school when this song became a hit. I love this song then and even now. My parents still have the LP album. Shiela was awesome here. I miss them so much!
My heart bleeds everytime I hear this beautiful song. Reminds me of my bestfriend in high school. Gone too soon!
All hail Sheila, Valerie, Helen and Fayette. Soul goddesses singing this classic.
3 beautiful /great ladies
One of the greatest vocal groups of all time. They were Philadelphia's equivalent of the Supremes but more soulful.
I agree
ur spot on
No the Supremes were 1 lead and 2 backers, the Degrees were 3 different vocal abilities, 3 different personalities, 3 different singing styles and in live shows all took turns doing lead vocals.......the Supremes didn't!

Damn, this makes me think of my mom. She's not gone or anything. Just reminds me of how much I love her. She'd listen to this song a lot while I was growing up and always karaoke to this. This song is beautiful. :)
+Lon Tanner Well said. It is a beautiful, and well orchestrated song. My Mom lives a good distance away. So this resonates with me too.
I share the same sentiments as both of you
Am so glad that the frantic spin in the middle of the song has now calmed down.
The world seems a much better place when gifted people perform great music well. Case in point: this video.
I was only 10 in 1974 but my Mom always had the Radio in the kitchen playing and l loved this song. I just never knew what it would mean to me Now...
They are marvelous!
The performance has lost NOTHING after the initial recording! The hallmark of exceptional performers! You get the feeling that, were they to do this song 100 years from today, it would still
sound exciting, beautiful, full of the glorious harmonies. Thank you for the upload, noizefeeler2.
Malcolm O'Brien
your comment stayed with the song until today and will stay on with the song a hundred years without both losing taste.
They are extremely 🧠🧠 intelligent too. I just love them.
Excellent live performance! Beautiful harmonies. Heavenly high notes. Power and poise personified. Thanks for sharing this rare gem from an unheralded and under-rated "girl group" from the 70s.

Excellent. They sound so great live, and I loved the ending!
This was their second-biggest hit. They hit #1 with TSOP (the theme song from Soul Train). Both songs are epic.
Beautiful song... Beautiful ladies...
Wow. They look better than in 1974. LOOOVED this song as a boy. (Still do) You trashy things today could learn something from these talented ladies. And proper '80s hair. Sigh....
