The price point has to be adresed. The price of goalie gear is outrageous. But the midlevel gear is a decent price. And good gear if u dont play 5 days a week.

Yeah, so the unused pair was the replacement set from Bauer to fix the issues I had with the used set (made with the wrong stiffness).
Good choice on the Optik 2! Hope you enjoy them.
I picked up the axis gloves this fall of 2020 and and the t on my glove does the same thing. It’s messed up and it’s annoying how it won’t close properly. I have the 590 and the logo is wearing off because of when I play the puck.
My coach said that he thinks over sliding is not a big deal because if you make the save a keep the rebound or you can get back in time it’s fine.

I’m coming from reebok Xlt, which are a butterfly (blocking) style of pad and just purchased the bauer 2x pro, which are more of a hybrid style from what I’m reading. Will this be a tough transition? I’m around 5’10 and an athletic style type goalie, but I really liked how the xlt’s blocked shot.
I think the transition might take effort but not because of a "blocking" and "hybrid" style pad (which is utter nonsense). The Premier line had a pretty unique feel with how open the leg channel was and the rounded inside edge and roll, so going to anything else will most likely be an adjustment.
I'm purely a blocking goalie and the 2X Pro were one of my favourite pads, it is always a personal preference thing, but it might take a bit too adjust to a completely different pad construction.
Love those warrior pads. Sell them to a beginning beer league goalie???

Bauer’s durability sucks mine broke in 5 months
I have the 2s right now and the first time broke within a week and the one I have now had been fine for a year it’s just pure luck if what stick you get
I've had an issue with the 3s, but I don't know if it's a break-in issue. When I hold my stick with the blocker it strains my forearm, it was making my hand go numb, its weird. It definitely performs though.
Can you adjust the index finger flap? I know it is velcroed in on the Ultrasonic. Perhaps that's causing the stick to sit weird?
I hope this will continues with players gear.

Yeah chinese made pro crap. At that price point I'd rather go with canadian made pro gear.
