- This is Abbath playing "One by One" from his Immortal days and their 2002 album, Sons of Northern Darkness at the Heavy Montreal in Quebec, Canada on August 8th, 2015.
Anyone bashing King's stage presence as 'goofy' or 'over the top' has obviously never seen an Immortal music video.
As far as I'm concerned, this is Immortal now.

King Ov Hell is actually one of the most active and coolest looking bass players ever seen on stage and I totally disagree with people whining on how he should stand back. Every single member of a band has its importance lol
It's a bit shit what everyone's talking about King in my opinion, this is just a place for him. I mean, the dude is enjoying the show, he just loves playing the music he loves with his friends, don't think Abbath is even a bit mad at him for his energetic performance.
They dont need to go full alpha on each other, stage is big enough for both

If anything, King looking like he really fucking enjoys performing is a good thing. Also at 4:00 Abbath doing subtle hipthrusts was funny as hell.

Badassss I love it. Like all experienced guitarists, Abbath gets better with time.
So I see Abbath has a 2nd guitar player in the band. I always thought he was in trios where he was the only guitarist. I must admit, having a 2nd guitarist definitely thickens up the overall sound.
Unless you have a heavy distorted bass, makes sound thick but yes, having a second guitar is better.
Actually I'm quite saddened about King's departure, at first I tot he looks quiet but judging from the live performance he seems full of energy like abbath.
This CZcams video has better sound quality than Burzum

he didn't leave Immortal....he tried to get it back together but the other bandmates have their own lives their families and couldn't practice as much as Abbath wanted to. So recruited King and Creature to form ABBATH.

I asked King about the band and members.
"The band has only been Abbath and I so far. We are testing people to end up with the perfect ones. Hence we still have Creature on drums and the session guitar (Per Valla) did just 6 shows with us and didnt play on the album" - King in Dec 2015
