- Brain Banks, like every young athlete had dreams of one day becoming a professional football player in the NFL. He was well on his way all the way up to the summer of his senior year, having already committed to the top college football program in the country USC. But then he was falsely accused by a high school classmate Wanetta Gibson, and charged with a sexual assault that never happened. It’s an age old story that although not talked about enough, happened and happens a lot more than you think. On one side, usually the male athlete, not only does he lose the precious time an athlete has to make something of his physical gifts, but an entire generational lineage is changed forever. That leaves grave implications for that athlete’s offspring and possibly down the line not getting the head start in life they could’ve because one person selfishly decides to use to their advantage a broken societal system. The headlines alone carried this case like a movie playing out in real time, except for Brian Banks, not one thing about it was entertaining. Because of the advice his public defender gave him, he decided to take a plea deal instead of facing trail and being given 41 years in prison. That plea cost him the rest of his life instead. He’d serve more than 5 years incarcerated and another 5 on probation before his conviction was overturned in 2012 after Gibson on a hidden camera admitted her entire story and accusation was false. Luckily Brian Banks didn't have to wait decades to clear his name like most falsely accused and sentenced do. Still though, for a female to do what she did, with no real remorse or even understanding of what she did should come with more serious consequences. She literally stole the most important 10 years of his football life. Either way salute to Banks for moving forward and using his story to show others how easily you can lose it all.

@@AggravatedMan365 I can't seem to find it. It likely got scrubbed from the internet. It was an MSNBC or CNN panel and the woman was a reporter for New York Times or something like that. I'll have to find it on an old MGTOW video or something. She basically said collateral damage is necessary and men should just take it in the shorts.

So did she and her mom get charged for lying?? Did they have to pay back that 1 million dollars? If not then justicr has not been served.
Unfortunately, the court(s) cannot collect the money on your behalf if they rule in your favor re: settlement.
The school district however can try to garnish the wages, and seize any property that the mom has, but it’s impossible to do so as long as she continues to stay in hiding.
That’s probably why the mom started blowing through all that money, then fled town, because she knew it was only a matter of time before the truth came out.

Brian banks was still a slimebag.... I went school with this guy. He treated girls like objects and was very aggressive towards them at times.
He didnt deserve what happened to him but I still see it as karma. He wasnt a very nice kid. Trust me... I remember him
