Iris Janssen, BMus (Music Education)

In-house experiential learning, student-led initiatives and full-circle #PurpleAndProud moments all play a part in the Music Education program at Western.
Iris Janssen is completing her final year of an undergraduate concurrent degree at #WesternU, earning a BMus (Music Education) and a BA (English Literature and Language) with a Minor in Theatre Studies.
She shares with us some of the highlights and memorable moments throughout her #MusicEd studies, such as working with Western’s Young Winds Program, attending OMEA (Ontario Music Educators’ Association), hosting a student-led conference through MESA (Music Education Students’ Association) and connecting with @westernualumni through guest artist masterclass opportunities including conducting with the Canadian Chamber Choir!
