    I've made loads of these in the past but they lost SO long (5 years so far) that I needed a refresher on how to do them 😆
    I use 2 fabrics, 1 for the centre piece and 1 for the background...very beautiful and I still look forward to using them each time 🥰

    I am terrible with using the sewing machine. But I used your instructions and hand stitched my first panty liner. I love it. I wish I knew how to upload a picture so you could see. Thank you ; for making it easy

    Hello Claire. I just have to say I love your tutorials. This one is my favorite. I have watched 3 or 4 times. The the instructions, the design, the colors... Just everything! It has given me perseverance to continue sewing my own pads. Whenever I doubt myself I returned to one of your videos. Looking forward to when I can purchase one of your pads. They are beautiful.

    So glad you didn't edit out the clip shooting out of the frame!!😂😂😂 because it's awesome to see I'm not the only one with that problem.. they're so strong that if you don't have a good grip, goodbye clips😉 lol loved your tutorial.. very well explained. I've made quite a few regular pads and was curious how the exposed core was made.. you helped so much😊

    Thank you for this! I'm horrible at understanding written directions so seeing how to do it helps alot!
    I prefer the all around top stitching myself I feel I looks more finished !

    Thank you! This is the first tutorial i have seen for an exposed core. It was quite informative. I also like how you chose to just sew the wings to finish your pad. I was hoping you would chose this method as soon as you mentioned it. I think that i will give it a try.

      Hello. Greetings from Tanzania. Can anyone invite me and offer a short training on how to do it. I'm a leader of one of the Non profit, non politics and non religious organization here in Tanzania. We have a program of keeping young girls in school during their menstrual period in order to avoid skipping sessions just because of not being able to afford to buy pads. We have already help about 700 rural girls. But we used to buy disposable one which last within hours. Now we want to improve our initiative. We need someone who will train us on how to make reusable pads. The knowledge we get is not for us, is for girls to stay in school to get education which will help them to stand tall, speak out and claim their rights. We will appreciate. We do it for girls and not business for us. The training will help also to impact the knowledge to school teachers so that they can be making emergence towel for students because in each school that we will be visiting we will be providing a sewing machine.

    I just have to say how much I enjoyed watching your video! The clip drama was the best, which included the nonchalant way you tossed the clips over into the pile, as well as when one randomly shot off into the great beyond. 😂😂😂 Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for doing just the wings for topstitching, I was totally rooting for it, and you did it! (You heard me, I know it! ^_^ ) I've never seen it done, so that was great. :) Again, thanks *so* much for doing this and uploading it, it's amazing and you're amazing! Pain or no pain, you did a fabulous job 👍

    I love all your videos. My daughter and I just set up a sewing machine. She's learning how to sew in life skills class in school. And I've haven't sewn in 20 yrs. I only knew basics. My daughter is explaining everything to me. I want to ask a question, what brand and size of quilting clips do you use. I was on Amazon today looking at some many different brands and reading the reviews on them. Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos. I'm learning so much. 😀

      How great your daughter is learning to sew and is now teaching you! So glad my videos have been of some help along the way :-) I know in the US they have brands like wonder clips but here in the UK they are usually sold as quilters clips. I have a couple sets from hobby craft and I have some insane cheap ones from amazon. they all do the job but the amazon ones are a little more flimsy. You can also get them in stationary stores in the paper clip section ;-)

    I have a question.... being new to cloth pads I do not understand why u made the cut in the back of the fabric then adding the core verses sewing in the core and then turning it. Very curious. Thanks

    • @FlowOfTheGoddessClothPads
      @FlowOfTheGoddessClothPads  Před 6 lety

      This is an exposed core pad which unlike the all in one has the core sitting as a separate component. The core has its own little case if you like and you do not sew the core to that casing (you place it inside) you then sew round the core/case to attach it to the topper part of the back once its inside (meaning the core is now secured to its case and the top layer of your back section of the pad with a neat line of stitching). There are no seam allowances etc when making the core and you would not want to add more layers of stitching or have extra space around the core of just fabric.

    • @MsDeeDeeGraham
      @MsDeeDeeGraham Před 4 lety +1

      @@FlowOfTheGoddessClothPads I did notice that on your core you did not sew the edges but left some seam allowance... I assume it's preference. What I'm trying to say is; sew the Core Right sides facing, leave an small open and turn core the right way(eliminates the cutting), stuff the absorbent layers in, then top stich on topper. You'll still have to cut the seam allowance and a hole at the bottom looks like a accident waiting to happen.

    • @jenniferrastley7337

      @@MsDeeDeeGraham I was wondering if that cut hole was a leak waiting g to happen also. Have you tried it the way you explained it as was gonna try that way

      I think it might make the fabric strech and warp if your newer to sewing and not used to having smaller margin for error. And cutting it after looks very easy as long as you remember to pull apart first.

    John 14:6 KJV, "Jesus saith, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
    1 Peter 2:24 NIV, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."
    John 3:16 KJV, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
    Romans 3:23-24 NIV, "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus".
    John 8:12 KJV, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".
    Jesus is the only WAY to God, the TRUTH of salvation, and the Breath/Bread of LIFE.
    ACCEPT Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Sins separate us from God because He's Holy. All sins will be forgiven and erased through faith in Christ Jesus. God ♥ you, is alive, merciful, faithful, truthful, and is waiting with His arms wide open FOR YOU! For Jesus did not come to establish a religion, but to become a mediator between God and men.
    Through the Grace of God, Jesus was given to us by paying the price at the Cross at Calvary. Repent and confess from your sins to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you. A sinner cannot save a sinner, only a sinless person can. That sinless Being is Jesus Christ Himself.
    Through the faith in Christ Jesus, the sick was healed; everywhere He went, He healed the blind, the mute, the deaf, the demon-possessed, raised the dead, as well as performed many miracles; He also walked on water, turned water into wine, calmed the storm with His command, and was raised up from the dead. Miracles are still being seen today! Jesus is our helper, our healer, our refuge/protection, and our strength for when time gets tough.
    God is standing and knocking at the door waiting for your answer right now because THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS COMING.
