    Is there anything we need to learn like programing before masters?

    • @anas_riad
      @anas_riad  Před 24 dny +1

      I understand your concerns and you are right thinking ahead of all possible outcomes and scenarios.
      What I can say is that:
      In the UK international students aren't given priority, that's just the way it is. You will have less opportunities than national UK students. However, if you prove that you are a great profile you can get some amazing opportunities.
      You can either see the glass half empty and complain OR see the glass half-full and work your butt of to get a better quality life.
      Will it be easy in the UK? I don't think so.
      But is it worth it? In my personal experience, YES.
      Please do extensive research before coming so that you're ready for all possibilities.

    hi, i am from sri lanka in this september intake I am coming to London to study data science for undergraduate can you give some advice

    • @anas_riad
      @anas_riad  Před 15 dny +2

      First congrats on your move to London to study data science. Here are a few things I would say:
      - Understand what data scientists do and start building your skills early on.
      - Don't only rely on university study material. Usually real life scenarios are more complex so keep that in mind.
      - Build a GitHub project portfolio when you start university and keep posting in it consistently
      - Be active on LinkedIn from the start of your studies. Network with people and build a reputation. You will make it easier for yourself to get work opportunities (internships, jobs...) when you need them.
      I do share tips in my content so please feel free to look at my recent videos and see which ones could benefit your current journey.
      All the best :)

    Sir I planning for masters in data science with artificial intelligence in university of exter it is possible to get sponsorship visa for international students to work after studies

    • @anas_riad
      @anas_riad  Před 27 dny +1

      Congrats on your move to the UK for your master's. Yes, it's definitely possible to get a sponsored role after your master's but please don't wait until you finish university to start networking and applying for jobs. During your studies do many projects and showcase them on GitHub. Also, try to get freelance projects on UpWork or any other freelance platform to gain experience that you can leverage on your CV. Finally, leverage LinkedIn during your study period. I made a video a few weeks ago on how to leverage LinkedIn to land your first data science job. Do it as soon as you start your studies. Don't make the same mistakes as others. All the best :)

      @anas_riad  Před měsícem +2

      @@rohansinghrathore5012 hi Rohan, sure. I started applying for jobs 6 months before graduation and I only got a job 5 months after graduation (so 11 months overall). I would say there are quite a bit of opportunities but sadly not much for interns and graduates so you'll have to stand out. The way I stood out is by leveraging linkedin. I was sharing content about data science and connecting with recruiters and data scientist in the UK until I was noticed and offered an interview and then got a job. I made a video on how to use LinkedIn to land your first data science job and I really hope it can answer some of your concerns.

    Hii .. is there any skill to know before applying to msc ds I'm in my final year of ug and planning to study in uk for 2025. Any uni suggestions. Btw such a great and informative video tq so much

    • @anas_riad
      @anas_riad  Před 21 dnem +2

      Hi, Thank you for your support. I would say that any technical knowledge is beneficial. Learn Python, Pandas, Power BI, and do data projects even before going to university. There are plenty of resources on the internet to start learning today. Anything you learn today could benefit you tomorrow, so don't wait.
      I did a master's in computer science at Cardiff Metropolitan University and I liked it. I'm not familiar much with universities so you'll have to do a bit of research.
      What I would say is that the university doesn't matter as much as what you can offer. So do lots of projects, network on LinkedIn, and become a valuable data scientist.

    Which degree is best to do in undergraduate? Bachelor's in Data Science or Bachelor's in Computer Science? to become a Data Scientist.

    • @anas_riad
      @anas_riad  Před 12 dny

      There's no best answer here.
      If you're sure that data science is what you want to do in 3 to 5 years then you can do it in undergrads. But if you're a bit more flexible than computer science opens doors to many discipline.
      I did a master's in computer science and work as a data scientist afterwards.

    • @anas_riad
      @anas_riad  Před 12 dny

      @@yanishshrestha8331 An undergraduate degree in data science can be enough to work as a data scientist, especially if you supplement your education with relevant projects, internships, and practical experience.
      However, a master's could help you specialize even more.

      @@ONLYFORSTUDYES that's great that you're thinking of your next steps from high school. Make sure to start doing some projects as soon as possible and fill your GitHub with them. Take your time to get the basics right and don't rush into using AI to solve everything for you (especially in the beginning when you just started learning). Also, start using LinkedIn: share what you learn, connect with others and create your own long term opportunities. I recently shared a video about how to leverage LinkedIn to land a data science job.
