@@chrislyne377 The Cass Review - You mean the "Review" that was biased because it disregarded loads of studies supporting medically transitioning for trans people, especially trans youth (at age appropriate measures), and implied that over 18's (but under 25's) could not be "mature enough" to have bodily autonomy? It disregarded a load of studies (even ones that were conducted under the NHS) because they weren't "double blind studies". The reason they weren't double blind studies is because that is incredibly unethical in this instance, especially with regards to children. It's also why a lot of paediatric medication is prescribed off licence. As per the government's website: "However, there are clinical situations when the use of unlicensed medicines or use of medicines outside the terms of the licence (ie, ‘off-label’) may be judged by the prescriber to be in the best interest of the patient on the basis of available evidence. Such practice is particularly common in certain areas of medicine: for instance, in paediatrics where difficulties in the development of age-appropriate formulations means that many medicines used in children are used off-label or are unlicensed." Furthermore it completely removes the purpose of having Gillick competence. "Of the 3,499 patients audited, 3,306 were included within the analysis." These patients had received an average of 6.5 appointments prior to referral to endocrinology (range 3-10 appointments)." Less than 10 of those detransitioned, however, let's be charitable and say that 10 detransitioned. Mathematically: (10/3306) x 100 = 0.30248... That gives a rough estimate of 0.3% detransition. I realise that is a very oversimplification of a research paper, but the idea that there's a phenomenon of people having "regret" is absurd, and proves that that "Review" is full of nonsense and not in the best interest of the majority of people referred to the clinics. Absolutely!
I hope this interviewer has apologised to Graham about her attitude toward him in this interview.
Graham Linehan brave man
Graham Linehan is a star standing up for women and children ! Thankyou Graham
And against other women and children.
@@kindnessfirst9670 There's no such thing as a male woman.
There's no "other women"
@@muddydog6605 what about the vitriol he and other transphobes direct at trans inclusive feminists, women and men? calling them 'handmaidens,' groomers and enablers etc BTW a majority of women are pro-trans rights
Lineham is an FTM ... why do you think he is so Lopsided .. ?
She mistook her profession: she attacks him like a moralising, hysterical preacher instead of a neutral, cool journalist.
And now mermaids have gone reverse-ferret, claiming they never said that anyone was born in the wrong body. When it's exactly what they broadcast.
Good man Graham.
Yep, Mermaids is an appalling, anti child-safeguarding, anti women, anti gay, barbaric male rights group. That the government and National Lottery among others have pumped millions into funding its toxic trans propaganda is a bloody outrage!
We had section 28, to stop decay of strong society (we could have gone further by banning feminism). It only allowed legitimate discussion
She is shockingly bad at this. She is actually attacking rather than engaging in this. Isnt it embarrasing for them that now the tavistock report has come out and that the NHS has changed its information on tranisitioning for children. She is shocking
That's because she actually believes what Linehan is speaking out against, she has an agenda.
Cos she's on the BBC. They are totally captured.
Attacking and shouting down is the way of the WOKE and Transgender Misogynists/Misogyny’s.
I actually don't care if people's feelings get hurt by opposing views.
To quote Stephen Fry "So what?"
What a star Graham Linehan is. It's all gong to come out soon
You mean the details about why his wife left him?
This was 3 years ago. Any day now hey?
I'd imagine a group of sick individuals leaking her address onto the internet when she seemingly had no qualm with anyone might be part of it, might have added some pressure to the marriage... Well done guys you destroyed a marriage. #moralfuckinghighground
Wow. Is this called an interview?
What about this is transphobic?
He's right. The woman presenter has a warped view of reality
She didn’t let him speak and she twisted his words making it all about his one comparison.
Well, he's absolutely right about all of this.
Well the title of this video aged pretty badly didn't it LOL comments section however restored my faith in humanity.
The man's a hero for standing up for women and children.
Really? does he get involved with Women's refuges, or Barnados, or the N.S.P.C.C.? Maybe that is not the humanity for which you hope? Just one that aligns with your prejudices.
@@JohnPreston888 What prejudices would that be then?
@JohnPreston888
Absolutely none of that made sense. Manipulation and gaslighting techniques look ridiculous in print.
@@JohnPreston888what prejudices? That kida cannot consent and we should have single-sex spaces so oppurtunistic men like Karen White dont abuse it?

Awful.

Love you Graham. Thank you for your work protecting and safeguarding women and children.
Haha, how do you reckon that one, Cletus? 🤣
and endangering other women, children and just trans people in general...so...not the best tbh.
this man comes across better than this woman.
And now Tavistock has been shut down for all the reasons he was giving and she was trying to dispute. BBC at its worst.
The BCC is *so* biased.
The fact that both the right wing and left wing complain about the bbc being biased suggests that they’re not and that actually they walk the line pretty well. On this issue In isolation I agree that the bbc is pandering to the trans lobbyists.
Institutional capture has been building for 25 years and now it's here and it's showing it's ugly mouth, in this case, the BBC.
You mean BBC?
They're biased against trans people
And he’s been vindicated regarding the Tavistock - the interviewer … less said …
Graham is spot on in everything he says. The fightback against this utter nonsense has started. The ideological equivalent of “The Emperors New Clothes”.

If _they_ can make you deny a biological truth, guard against other things _they_ can make you believe.
He’s not being transphobic, nor is he perjuring himself. He’s raising an issue, and the amount of vitriol he and others have received, clearly shows the other side is incapable of reasonable debate.
He is absolutely right, she is absolutely wrong, he is protecting children, she is endangering them.
Graham can stand proud and tall. The interviewer can live in shame.
Why do you think her asking him questions is shameful? Should the woman shut up to let the man talk? How progressive.
@AndrewLakeUK he's been proved right. All the cheerleaders for this ideology that has caused so much harm to children will quietly slink away.

Be slow to talk quick to listen, slow to get angry. Advice from the Bible. Graham Linegan

The "Bible". That work of fiction that condemns non-men to lives of servitude, second-class status, and the cause of sin? Oh well. At least it was written by God, therefore it has absolute moral authority.
@@JohnPreston888 And the new TRA 'bible' condemns women to have males in their toilets and sports

An absurd claim.

Her "interview" isn't aging well. She should be embarrassed.
What a brilliant and courageous man Graham Linehan is!
Yeah, he risks death every day. Just like homosexuals in Indonesia, The Emirates, other retarded countries. Or women in Afghanistan or Iran.
Calling people things like transphobic is a bit meaningless, instead use free speech to argue your case and negotiate solutions. Name calling is designed to stifle debate, if you’re confident in your case you shouldn’t need to do this.
The title of this should be "Graham Linehan goes Full "Reasonable Bloke wants to talk about stuff" on Newsnight

In all honesty, how can a 4 or 5 year old child 'identify' as being in the 'wrong body' or even 'gay' at such a young age?
they cant. its the parents and the doctors affirming it.
This is the bit that has made me the angriest. They don't conceptualise such complicated ideas at that age🙄
Exactly. It doesn't make sense. When a kid says "I wanna be X", they don't really even understand what they're saying.
