Those Cat engines are a joy to listen to for sure. I used to drive a D6c and as a radio was not a option due to the old dozers noise i did not mind listening to the engine all day long. Great build Rich i have enjoyed the full thing . Regards from England.

About angle grinders. I was using one at work to cut some bracing off a shipping crate and had a cutoff wheel explode on me and fly right at my face. Luckily for me, my work requires that you wear a face shield when using a grinder and the disk bounced right off the face shield leaving quite a mark in the plastic. Moral of the story, wear your safety gear. Your face will thank you.

Man, I'm stoked to see this one come together! Probably my favorite build so far! That front bumper is messing with me though. I just don't get along with it for some reason. It's like the front of the truck is having an identity crisis. Personally, I'd put something like a tasteful custom bumper or brush guard on there. Other than that, this is an awesome project and I can't wait to see it finished up!

Back in 1976, I had a AAA jumpstart call for a 1969 Ford F-350. I get there and it has a 3208 Cat shoehorned in it, with a 10-speed trans. The rear was out of an F-600. One of the batteries had boiled over so I helped him replace it, then jump-started it! Got a 50.00 tip. Great start for a Friday night!

Love the progress. currently putting parts together to swap a 5.9 Cummins in a 85 F-250 that has a 302 currently. Would love to see more on how you got the pump on the back of the air compressor working.

I have seen F-250's swapped out with a Cummins, a Detroit Diesel and even a Duramax. Never a Cat though. Genius. Liked and subbed.
Hey Rich. Glad to see your getting rewarded after all that patience and frustration. Truck looks and sounds great finally. I would love to try the Holly snipe kit. I totally rebuilt a 80 vette over 3 yrs . Just finished the engine, but the edelbrock carb that came with the car is crap. Tried differing meter and jet setups, but it's a dog. 10 mile a gallon with a comp street cam, headers, new intake and my magical gas slurping carb . 220 kma on 80 liters screams snipe. Love the channel. So here we go👍

This is the best pickup truck build out here.
Its real, Unique and isn't lowered into the ground defeating the purpose of a pickuptruck
Oh and most importantly it isn't on mall crawl wheels with motorcycle type traction.
When you where showing us the broken fuel hose on the bench, I could smell your hands through the phone 🤣. I love the cat and f350 build, can't wait to see it finished.
Now that is a one-of-a-kind, you should be very proud of your accomplishment on this special build.

I have a 95 F 350 CrewCab Dullay with the 7.3 powerstroke. No dents, no rust. Still has the paper stickers with the part numbers on the wiring harness and fuel lines underneath it. One small dent the size of a dime on the front bumper. California truck now, but it came from Texas.
Congrats Rich you the only one of these trucks that doesnt have a whining power steering pump.
