THAT IS THE BEST PROPELLER/CAMERA FRAME SYNC I HAVE EVER SEEN!
I love the bass sound of those turboprops and that landscape is unreal. 👍
Thankfully the rainy, overcast weather I had in EGS the first day didn't carry over to the second day of my Iceland flying. Thanks for watching!
Wonderful video. Been to Iceland and loved it. Would like to do this flight to see AEY. The mountains with snow are so exciting.
Great flight love this one Skylight productions
Thanks my friend! Glad you enjoyed it!
Yaaaaaas beautiful 🥰
Wonderful video. We want to visit Iceland post retirement.
I'd say that's a great idea! It was a truly beautiful country, and most of what I saw was from the air! Thanks for watching!
Awesome , Thanks Skylite 🙂
Another great fabulous video as always enjoy your super Amazing content vloggs Merci Merci Merci
Any videos that show the props and the landing gear are automatically near the top of my list. Another very cool video, thanks.
Thanks my friend! Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing scenery 👌
Fantastic...like always!
Lovely aerial views; and I like the aircraft. Thank you!
Cool videos 👍 Thank you 😊
Very nice video I have flown on these planes a few times in the States there really nice. When they first started flying, they had problems with the landing gear they found the problem and were all fixed.
I remember that. I think there were several collapses during landings, if I'm remembering correctly. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful video my friend 🇮🇸 new subscriber!
Thanks my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm happy to have you as a subscriber!
@@sla31 no problem mate
Everyone have a wonderful flight ✈️ ❤️
I love Israel. I love ELAL that's the airline I love very much.
Yes, I would also like to introduce to you, I am also a person who lives in the US with you, I am Vietnamese-American in my first year of high school, I was still in Vietnam, but when I started in grade 6, I moved to the US. This guy lives in the same country as you
In most of your great videos, your window is clean and your sky is clear. Did you do any video processing or you just travelled with airlines with clean windows and only in good weather?
I fly a lot. There's some footage you never see because the flight wasn't worth posting. Either the window was dirty, or the weather was so bad you could't see anything. That said, I do what I can to maximize my chances of getting good weather and windows. I avoid flying on aircraft types that are known to have bad windows. I'm looking at you CRJ series haha. And I try to fly places when the weather is historically good. I also travel with a microfiber cloth to clean the inside of the window. Although there's not much you can do about the outside. There's a reason I don't fly a lot during the winter. De-icing fluid is a real nightmare to deal with.
@@sla31 Thanks a lot. I had thought you might have done some post processing of the video. Now I understand you are working hard and smart, and that is why you have so many top-notch videos.
Great video. How small was the aircraft? And how much turbulence did you encounter on this flight? From what I've heard, turbulence affects smaller jets more. Thanks for the info.
Thanks my friend. The Q400 holds 78 passengers in an all economy cabin. Which is what airlines typically operate the aircraft in. I don't think I've ever seen a Q400 with first class. So, they actually hold more than most regional jets in the US. That's a bit of a classified statement though. They may hold more passengers than the typical regional jet in the US, but they aren't "bigger." With no first class they actually have smaller cabins. The interior is closer to a CRJ-200 in terms of width and seats than an ERJ-175. As for turbulence, we really didn't have much on this flight, or any of my other Iceland flights. Even with the overcast conditions at AEY, things were pretty smooth. That said, that was mostly due to the actual weather conditions over the aircraft. In general, smaller aircraft are affected by turbulence more just because they have smaller wings. If you hit rough air, the larger the wing, the more surface area that turbulence is spread over.
Great fly! So did you pay more airfare price than last year due to skyrocketed inlation?
Yes, easily. I’ve already spent more this year and I’ve only booked flights through September.
one quick question, how do you or what do you use to stabilize the camera especially through all those long-haul flights? Thx
So, on flights under 3 hours. Maybe even 3.5 hours, I just hold the camera by hand. IN fact, historically, that's how I've filmed all of the content you see on my channel. It's only recently, where I've started to use a mount on longer flights. The main problem that prevented me from using a mount previously, was the dreaded iPhone jitters. iPhones have great cameras, but they aren't action cameras. When you mounted an iPhone to an aircraft, all of the vibrations from the engines and wind friction were transferred into the lens of the camera. This gave the footage a jitter that made it look like you were filming everything through a jello filter. Even after hundreds of dollars spent and multiple mounts, including a custom made one, the only way I ever found that solved this problem was to hold the camera and keep it isolated away from the fuselage. And that's still what I do most of the time today. On this flight and every other "shorter" flight, I just hold the camera. The human arm is full of fat and muscle, which are both excellent at absorbing vibrations. That said, on longer flights, I've found a mount that works... Most of the time... I still hold the camera by hand for all takeoffs, landings, and taxiing. But, on certain long flights, I've found this mount: www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U to be the only mount that can work most of the time when cruising. It also only works with the iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro. Anything before that like a 11 Pro or X the jitters are still there. The combination of that being a very expensive mount, being well made, and having the built in stabilization of the 12 or 13 Pro seems to be enough on most occasions to eliminate the jitter.
@@sla31 Okay, sounds great, your arm must get tired after holding a camera that long? Still want to say that your content especially with the new 4K that has been available to us for a while now makes it even more enjoyable to watch.☺️
Hello everyone thanks for following 😀
Well thanks, but isn't it my job to thank everyone for following? haha.
What altitude was your cruise? didn't look anymore than 16-18k
I don't remember the exact altitude of this flight, but looking through some FR24 data, it looks like they usually cruise around 18-20K.
These trips for vacation or business related.
Well, they are all to get footage for this channel, and I don't typically leave the airports except to sleep. So, I guess business haha. That said, I'm not flying for a job and just filming as I go. I pay for everything out of my own pocket, and I do it on my own time. So, I'm not being reimbursed for any of the flights you see.
That's a turboprop plane
thank god we have you.
