▼About Chichibu Night Festival Chichibu City's December specialty, Chichibu Shrine's annual festival ``Chichibu Night Festival'' is counted as one of Japan's three major Hikiyama festivals, along with Kyoto Gion Festival and Hida Takayama Festival.
There is a record that the festival existed during the Kanbun era (1661-72) of the Edo period, so it has a history of over 300 years.
It is said that during the Edo period, the Chichibu Silk Market was established along with the festival, greatly enriching the Chichibu economy.
It is also called the Silkworm Festival. Time has changed, and now there is no silk market,
There is no change in the annual financial statements for people living in Chichibu.
It has been affectionately known as ``Yomatsuri'' and ``Myoken-sama.''
Two float floats and four float floats (National Important Tangible Folk Cultural Properties) are dragged through the town to the beat of the heroic float music.
There will be a local play (Chichibu Kabuki) with a special stage set up on both sides of the stall, and a Hikiodori dance performed by the local Hanayagi clan and Kineya clan.
Along with Chichibu Shrine Kagura, it has been designated as a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property as ``Chichibu Festival float events and kagura''.

自分も人生で初めての経験でした。
下郷の太鼓をあんなにずっとはたいてたのは初めてでした
なんか曳きながら違和感を感じてた人もいたようでした。
これでお祭りの思い出が増えましたねｗ
