I have been playing LFS for over 10 years, learnt how to drive car literally in this game. Now I have got 13600kf+3060ti setup but I still enjoy the game, especially with the new extension with mod manager it became even more fun.
I played since 2005 until 2014 when the community died out, so amazing to see it come back, mods are definitely what was needed
Dude I was in that lobby with you hahaha. Live for speed is honestly one of my favourite Sims, I just wish the team was bigger. Much love!

I just got into lfs in the last month and I absolutely love it. I grew up around road racing because my dad used to race when I was a kid. I finally got my first steering wheel setup because of this game. It's only a g920 with a shifter but I made my own stand out of wood with a built in monitor stand and real car seat. I tend to binge out on lfs when I start dtifting.

CZcams spoils me today by bringing up stuff like this video. It's a nostalgia for me. I played this game around 20 years ago... using mouse :D. It was always cool how open LFS was, considering that you could use literally any device to steer a car (a clutch using old joystick? no problem) and physics were very credible for my teenage taste. I didn't notice that it got open for mods as well!

Welcome back to LFS bro , this game is long story for me .. I playing it since 2008 , in that time I was buying any cars game CD and I bought it and tested it and from that time there is no any another game in my PC .
In that time all of us knows NFS but when we talking about the real driving feeling we can say LFS is the best for each details and as you said it was hard to do the tweakers and rims manger and NTO files and editing dds files and steering wheel hack and searching for cars in websites and drifting by keyboard .. really I have amazing memories with this game and till now playing it ❤
latest update of lfs has its own mods ingame thats something new..

Dude I was playing this back in 2003 and my account is still active to this day :) I started with a Logitech momo on a microwave table (yes I have pics lol) Now I play with a full extrusion rig and a csl dd haha I love sim racing :)

Remember playing the demo version with my cousins back in 2004 or 2005. Still play today with L3 and a complete sim racing setup. Too bad the servers are empty except a few (Just a ride is for chilling)

I play lfs with this same steering wheel bro, (i thought it was just me that still has a g27 😂😂everybody nowadays has this expensives wheels setups) there is a server called city driving that has roleplay mechanics, is very cool for cruising, and you have to work to buy cars and a lot of rp related mechanics

The only things thats missing about lfs is modded tracks this game (physics wise) is way better then assetto corsa.

if you use a good drift setup fit for yu its very easy to control drift so good also some hardcore drifters using temp lock for tires keep hot not pop
i used to do that back in the day when i was playing in LSN server
Temp lock doesn't work anymore sadly, especially that good drift cars have around 350-600hp now (mods)
It would have had some extreme potential if it only didnt cost 30 dollars just to get access to mods. There was a website where you could get the mod version for free but it got taken down in 2017 cus it was used more than the official site

But the shifter is broken, when you try to put it into 1 st gear, still in N, at left max it recognizes 2nd gear, at middle N it is 4th gear and at right N 6th gear?

in good wheel lfs feels like real life, after so many years in this game when i hop into my e36 for the first time on welded diff i drift whole winter even without handbrake, on very bad tires on rear, and i dont even spin becouse i feel like im driving in lfs :D intings bmw e36 mod is very bad, it had suspension like from japanse car or something like that, try Houssem e36 its very close to real one becouse he made everything in pleace even seats and engine position wishbornes and other stuff

No just online and you are limited to 3 cars and 1 track online and offline.
Unless you use the classic modding method which is to replace one of the demo cars.
