Proper real review Specky the tyre dressing reminded me of Carpro Perl the day after application very glossy the wheel products performed but they don’t look very cost effective I’m going to go through those faster than Samantha goes through tonic water and the shampoo just looks maintenance only just like you said certainly a talking point for us to mention in say something like a media based audio only type show 😍🙌🏻🙌🏻
A media based audio only show? I'm sure there's a name for that but I just can't think of it right now 🤣
The dressing is like neat Perl but the spray makes it messy, better with an applicator. The wheel & tyre cleaner is good but I ripped through it! Definitely need to discuss this!
...and Craig wins the 'race' to publish the TW product review 😂
🤣🤣
Great video. Nice to see you back.
I certainly won't be rushing to buy any of these products.
See how you used the second coating of foam as your hand wash. I know loads of guys who do that. Maybe they spray some fall out remover and tar and glue Remover first and then the Snowfoam.
Yes it's a shortcut but in my opinion a good one!
Cuts out any need for a panel prep or IpA wipedown prior to application of a new wax or Sealant as the paintwork is literally squeaky clean already.
Obviously a very thorough rinse is essential if anyone is using this technique.
One last thing.
It was you that spoke with Yvan Lecroix about using ONR at 4ml per litre prior to putting a snowfoam on wasn't it.?
I made a comment yesterday on Jons channel and I was almost certain it was you. As I remember the shock on your face and your raised eyebrows 😂
That rings a bell actually 🤣
@@SpeckyMcSporran Waxstock I think it was. Dunno the year though!
Waxstock 2019, the only year I've been.
Loving your work buddy.
Thanks so much! 🙌🏻
Hmmm ... Good review bud :) If your going to use that much product per wash (although you did get decent results on the day), I'd probably go with something way, way cheaper, like Simoniz ultra alloy care. For rad film that stubborn, probably BH touchless for a pre wash before something like TW shampoo, as all the ones I've tried in TW line up (as you pointed out) tend to be on the mild side. Like the wife always tells me, "I've had better"
I know what you mean mate. It's mostly good but a stronger pre-wash would make sense to make up for the weakness of the shampoo and the wheel cleaner isn't exactly value for money.
Great review, was debating on trying these out against my usual Bilt Hamber Auto Wheels 1:1 dilution and Surfex HD 1:10 dilution for the tyres and I think I might try them! Tip for those wheel barrel brushes - once they’re dry after use, use a hairdryer on low setting gently across the bristles to spring them back to shape 👍🏼
Thanks for the tip!
As always Scottie you gave the products a good try and came back with varied reviews which I like, not all products by every manufacturer are brilliant. The Fiesta is unusual as it has started to rust on the offside and not the nearside "gutter" I wonder if it has been parked on a main road, and the dreaded gritter has got at it.
Thanks Paul, the rust is in random spots but it'll probably get ignored until it's time to get rid of the car. It was bought as a banger so we're not precious about it.
I do love how companies throw in all sorts of words to make it sound better than it is. Dedicated products are definitely the way to go, otherwise I feel you normally end up having to do it twice to get it done.
I found the wheel and tyre clea er worked well but you rip through it due to the foaming action.
@@SpeckyMcSporran I'd imagine it'll only do a car 2 maybe 3 times because of that. Works out very expensive :-(
Brilliant video Specky, good range fromTurtle Wax,the tyre and wheel cleaner from your video get through it quite quickly,a spray nozzle would have maybe saved alot of product waste.
Absolutely, I ripped through half a bottle for 4 wheels and tyres
Awesome job
Thank you
Only really watch Mr Dolden or OCD but I'll watch you as well now well informed review .
Have you checked out the podcast that Mr Dolden and I record?
@@SpeckyMcSporran no but i will do bet you make a right pair ,are you going to waxstock as got my ticket
We have a good laugh together, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. And yes, we're both going to Waxstock 👍🏻
Wheel cleaners look good but I can see you going through it quickly. Shampoo looked average at best, which is worrying if you can't get that right. Tyre shine looks far to glossy for my taste too.
While I haven't seen the prices for these I can't imagine they are cheap going on previous prices for turtle wax. Plenty of other choices in halfrauds
Yep, ready-to-use products aren't great for value but they serve a purpose so I'm not knocking them too badly. Same with the shampoo, I can't imagine a company like Turtle Wax would release a high alkaline shampoo for their target market.
Thank you for the video and for the honest review👍. Shame those products were on the whole a little bit disappointing as Turtle Wax has come on in leaps and bounds of late, especially in paintwork protection. Your video shows that Turtle Wax needs to improve in other areas.
Thanks Karl. They're fine for the beginner but I think enthusiasts have higher expectations.
Sounds like your Nilfisk (at least from the sound I think Nilfisk) is on the way out pulsing when not in use. Nice review, might give them a crack myself when they show up in Euro's.
It might be, it's not new so I can forgive it.
Thank you from the Hartland( States)!
Thanks for watching!
I thought the wheel cleaner was ok but used so much it’ll only last about 3 washes
Yep, that's the trouble with ready-to-use products.
Great video 👍 what make (or could you add a link) waterproof gloves do you use. Cheers in advance
Haha I always get asked about them! I have two different makes, one set I bought from Screwfix and one I bought from a local workwear stockist. I have pairs from Glovezilla and Blackrock.
@@SpeckyMcSporran Cheers for that, much appreciated..👍
Keep up the good work matey
Found some on amazon if you're interested - amzn.to/3ttNNHt
@@SpeckyMcSporran Cheers matey.. They look spot on 👍
All the best
I’m still catching up on brands and histories but it definitely seems like turtle wax had pretty much died of old age and this is now their marketing machine finally kicking in with re-branding and buzz words to revive their image (and market share)!
FYI: I like turtle wax products and think they usually preform well.
They were practically forgotten about until a few years ago when they launched some up-to-date products. They've been steadily releasing new products since then.
Great job Specky, you seem to use loads of product on the wheels. Surely the product must be uneconomical
That's always the case with ready-to-use products, effective but not economical.
👍👍
Did you do it on purpose to see who comments?
No, I wanted to see the reaction speed first.
@@SpeckyMcSporran I was talking about brushing the prewash snowfoam stage 😝
The products look decent to be fair if I was desperate for something and had to go to Halfords I’d give them a try
Honestly they're good products, the shampoo could do with more bite but I guess I'm just too used to using Zero haha
6th
Slipping Humberto! 🤣
@@SpeckyMcSporran you mean sleeping?😄😄😄yes, remember there is a 4 hour difference and I was still sleeping 😄😄😄
