I thought that too. It you had teams of 50 people per night with the dogs, catching a total of 1000 rats, with a population of more than 2,000,000, it would take a lot of time, but would drastically help.
Probably cut down on other activities 👍

It still amazes me how good the reflexes of the dogs are! The dogs are ruthlessly efficient at their job!
They are brilliant at killing rats and they love it too.
That’s why they really are the perfect tool. It’s all natural and it’s what they are born to do! No other animals getting hurt or poisoned. The puppers love it!!!
The greyhound was slow at first but once he warmed up, LIGHTS OUT!

Farm rats would be terrified of those city rats, those things are monsters. Of course the amount of garbage from people has a lot to do with that.

He’d make a killing in chicago and NYC but he’d have to be careful😂 them city rats over there are NO joke.. there FEARLESS i seen a couple of em walking around broad day 1 of em right past a cat and the cat attempted to try the rat BUT quickly thought better of it..That Rat was Huge easily half the cats size and 10x as mean too.

You should do this in all of the big cities. Maybe franchise the business so you can cover the country. The only good mouse or rat is a dead mouse or rat
He needs to team up with Shawn Woods to form a mouse and rat extermination company. Shawn can set up very effective traps (but no poison or sticky traps) of different sorts and if that doesn't work, Joe can come in with the minks and/or dogs.

Dogs and cats are amazing hunters. I am Ecuadorian and I remember back when I used to live there, rats came inside my house and I had dogs. My cutie Sissy was a real, ferocious and smart rat hunter dog, and couple years ago, my brother in law, used his cat, Khaleesi, to kill several rats in his apartment he rented.
It really needs to do something simple and natural to eliminate this pest that also affects other animals ='(

First thing is to improve sanitation. Second is to fight back
A smallish plastic container with hole in the side that has corn meal mixed with baking soda works great. If another animal eats it, it does not harm them.

my goodness seeing jack, a lil pup, chewing up a HUGE rat like 1/8 of his size is really aweing me.
I've been watching for years this is the best thing I've seen for pest. Me and my friend use to do this our with hammers and pipes on his goat farm you go Joe!
LOL I was just thinking you need some sort of portable wall, just enough to encourage the rats not to dash off but turn back towards the dogs and you used a sign 😆

When George mentioned about using dogs to catch rats had been around a long time, I remembered my childhood neighbourhood being swarmed with rats mostly due to my neighbor being a pigeon fancier and him feeding the birds in the street. We used to sit out with our dogs and hand held catapults to get the rats and try to help the situation. My dog was a border Collie, small but fast, and he had the sense to kill the rats quick but never ate them and rarely drew blood. He shook them to death. I have a terrier now and any time he sees a rat he cries 🤣 such a contrast in my dogs lol. Keep up the good work 🙂

I wish my whippets and I were younger - would have loved trying urban ratting! It’s so much more humane than traps and poison.
As always, I love the work! But perhaps please tell your friends to be careful with letting the dog jump into the trash container, because you never know what kind of broken glass or even injection needles are mixed in with the trash... Even if it looks like a "nice" bin, they're open so any junky could have dropped their stuff in there just minutes before you guys arrived... Would be such a shame to see a talented dog get injured while doing what they love so much. That tall dog (I keep forgetting the names, sorry) is an awesome consistent killer! He's having the time of his life!
Literally the only issue I have. Those bins. They clearly have been lucky but yea. I personally wouldn't put my hand in those bins 🤨

Hi Joe…when you were explaining why it was better having 2 dogs with different & complementary traits for hunting rats, you were searching for a phrase to describe this. I think you ended up saying “opposing traits”. The phrase that came to mind for me was “mutually exclusive” traits.
I was thinking “different body conformation” or body type.

I have a terrier mix who is a natural hunter. She goes after mice and lizards like no bodies business. Not a single day of training and she loves it. She can also run faster than any big dog she has met at the dog park.
Please no more BIL. It's not broke so don't fix it. The city should pay a bounty for each body. Joe, get a pointy stick. Loved the lurcher.
