the xbox 360 was my introduction to many different franchises that I'm obsessed with now, Halo, COD, GTA. I remember coming home from school to play Black ops 1 Zombies and being excited for Black ops 2. Playing Minecraft on the 360 was otherworldly and my first gaming experience was playing Banjo Kazooie when I was 4/5 ish so when it came to XBLA I was obsessed
June 6th 2009 I had just turned 14 when my dad took me to target and got me a 360 elite that came with Halo 3 and Fable 2 and the rest is history. Those were better days.

you think that was depressing? I never had a hard drive in all the time i had my 360, just the little memory card. After a while i started using my psp as the memory unit. Imagine the pain when the psp was gone.... all that hard work man..
I remember being 7 when halo 3 came out and I remember the Christmas Day like it was yesterday…. The memories are so cherished.

Got 3 AMAZING gears games, 2 AMAZING halos, massive amount of mild rated games like timeshift, legendary, etc. Had great movie games that werent all lego games. Amazing online, such a beautifully designed original console and original dashboard. One of the last great consoles.
Ps3 had 3 good uncharteds, 3 killzones, 3 resistance, metal gear expecoally.
So unsatisfied im fallowing generations. Had high hopes and got an xb1/ps4 day one. Bla...
And we also got fallout 3 and new Vegas’s
Now its all about Loot Boxes and micro transactions.

I remember getting the elite console. I was 18 and Fable 2 had just come out. I put the disc in my original 360 and instantly got red rings of death. Went to Best Buy and got the elite console right after that.
The good old times, playing black ops 1 and 2 when there were no hackers. In my opinion BO1 BO2 are the best call of duties.

A glorious age. An age when constant updates wasn't a thing. And age which did not require game installation. An age where it truly was plug n play. An age in which game qaulity control was at it's peak where developers made sure they did the job right from release. An age long dead never to return. But those were the days.

@Feroci1024 well correct me if I'm wrong there but isn't that the case for over 90 something percent of xbox 360 games. The only games that ever required installations were either complete edition sets or games that were already for next gen like shadow of mordor alien isolation and mgs 5.
Modern consoles are just really weak and expensive gaming PCs. I switched to PC in 2017 and everything is now digital for me. My friend cries about wanting physical copies of Xbox games when that doesn't even matter when you have to install the game first and some games require an update because it was shipped broken at launch. Some games even require an internet connection to function and others add so much content through DLC and expansions that are downloadable only, so in the future it will be redundant to buy an old Xbox One through Ebay to collect games when it is retro. Imagine getting the Master Chief Collection but you're missing critical patches and Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach and you can't download them because Xbox Live for the Xbox One will be discontinued

@@alexman_5555 how are they going to be better tho? Better graphics... That's it. And I don't even like realistic graphics. For me ps3 and 360 was the last great generation for those companies. And the best 3d generation was the one before that, gamecube, ps2 an xbox imo. Games have always ran at 60fps so the only thing 'improving' is graphics. The switch is cool tho, hopefully nintendo make a switch pro so it can run games at 60fps on the go.

I remember saving up to buy my first console, I went to the local game store and bought the xbox 360 bundle that came with halo 3 and fables 2 then carried it back home, I remember setting it up and connecting it to the cheap crt tv that was in my room. The first game I tried was halo 3, I went straight into mutlplayer, and my first ever match was on snowbound, great memories

The 360's GPU is surprisingly modern. It's the first consummer GPU with unified shaders, something all GPUs have today. There's a bit of the 360 inside all modern GPUs 😄.

Dude starting online gaming with the Original Xbox in 2003 was awesome but when the Xbox 360 came out, I loved it. Then in the end of 2005, I bought one at Walmart and there was only 3 left and it got a red ring only from overheating… so I took it to a console expert and got it modded so it can’t overheat or have any other problems. To this day, I still play on my Xbox 360 sometimes

There’s just something so satisfying about playing games this age and older on a CRT that a flatscreen just can’t replicate. I think it’s the colors, the refresh rates, the scanlines, and the smoother edges that gives the CRT a unique look and feel, which just meshes so well with older games.
