This is hands down the best Ghana snack.

I am being told $100 will get her a gas stove xx
She is amazing. I'm going to get some folks together to donate funds to her. What else other than the stove does she need? Thank you Jasmine, you're wonderful🌻
I liked that music 🎶 that was playing, is that Ghanaian music?
Jasmine i would like to donate towards her stove, can please let me know how can i do so? I live in NC, for a 60 yr old woman that is very very hard wrk.i'm 59 and hv retired i can't see myself wrkn not even half as hard as her.my cheers to her..
@@feliciabrown7131 thats all she mentioned but any extra funds will help i am sure xx
I like you country home made food
Areejatu is a wonderful and really sweet person.
She works hard despite the work being so tiresome.
I also loved that she broke that generational curse of not going to school and made sure,as best as she could, her children went to school so that their lives can be different😌
She's just simply a good person🤗
She's very beautiful and strong, may the good Lord bless her struggle
This is one of your best video’s, this amazing woman is phenomenal. She works so hard, those same grandchildren should help her with anything she want. Let’s get her the gas stove.
The woman really has a free spirit , yeah the snack is call dzowoe in ewe ,and she Is speaking kotokoli not Dagbani.
This aunty deserves all the respect, all that work, heat and time to make this product is just wonderful.
Wow!! This is some serious labor. I can’t even imagine having to do this at any age let alone at the age of 60! She is a strong woman.
How clever to use clean sand from the seaside as an means of regulating the temperature and ensuring an even distribution of heat through the process of toasting the corn and peanuts! I would have never thought of that! Splendid video, Jasmine.
That's how we do it locally in ghana
Our mothers are full of wisdom and they do apply logic and reasoning with intellect devoid of so called "school classroom book knowledge".
I will always say this God bless all these wonderful women for the tedious work they do day in and day out especially in Africa 🙏❤
The lady said, “ the children of today does not like hard work” , so true. People and their cultures are such a beautiful thing. Thanks for sharing, one love from NYC.
They rather prefer office jobs so they could be corrupt just like leaders, this is where the government have to come in and uplift vocational jobs turn it into entrepreneurship and build factories 🏭 to employ the citizens, put a lil tax on and use the taxes to build the country.
Wow.....this is a lot of work. Strong woman in Ghana.
my favourite ghanaian snack hands down😩😍
also, this is a very strong and hardworking woman, wow🙏🏾
Another amazing video. I always learn something new when watching your video. You have interviewed some of the most hard working, strong, empowering Women of Ghana. They should be a inspiration to all Women everywhere. The fact that she’s 60 years old and work as hard as she does, should put some of these young folks to shame. I hope someone sends her the money she needs for a gas stove. She is most deserving to have what she needs to make her product.
This is how my mum in Congo used to cook her peanuts with sand before making peanut butter. It reminds of my childhood.
Areejatu is amazing!! Thank you, Jasmine, these videos are more than just food stories, they are the history of many women across Africa, the daily fight against patriarchy, and heteronormative cultures. I found you 3 days ago, and I haven't left!!
❤️❤️🤗
We call this Alaqua in takoradi. It’s so nice. Even my nigerian and Sierra Leone friends request this when i travel. It’s yummy
I buy these in bulk anytime i’m in Ghana. These women deserve all the accolades. Nobody should ask for a discount because it’s not easy koraa
Girl child education is important. I feel sorry for her however I’m happy to hear that she supported her children by ensuring they received good education.

Such a hard working lady. The best was she was smiling throughout. Shows how simple the expectations were of previous Generation 💯💯💯
Wow, looks amazing. I love her process she's very clean and also I love that there's no artificial ingredients or oil or dairy added I can't wait to try this next month when I'm in Ghana. I'll have to call her. How do we get her a gas stove?
Its delicious. U can donate using information in description box. Then she can get one. Need to find out what its sold for. Someone said about $100 x
Thank you for heart ❤ felt love by giving ❤ to Aunty.
That snack is made in Nigeria also, it is called tanfirin in Nigeria.
Oh wow. We r so similar
This is a great opportunity for her kids to make a small family shop to make this and other snack as well.
So happy to see the best of Africa being shown to the world ❤️...
Ghanaian mother's are very hard working God bless their struggles 🙏
This documentary is great! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Well done - you did a fantastic job with this video!👏👏👏
So so proud of this lady. Young ladies in Gh today want to be slay Queens. Any time in Ghana will surely find her
A very respectful woman
My brother brought some from Ghana 🇬🇭 for me. Its my favourite snack All natural no chemicals and I prefer it more the western snacks and it can last very long without refrigerator boz its made with dry ingredients. Fact is you can't eat to much of it boz its very filling. Good job Jasmine 👏👍🏽. I will see how I can support her.
Its so filling and makes u thirsty lol xx
This was such a lesson to watch this amazing 60 year old Ghanaian woman make this treat from the beginning to end. what a intelligent, strong, woman maybe not educated from books, she have a greater special learning past down from her parent , grandparent which you can not get from books. she learned to make this delicious treat. what a blessing to share with us. i hope this recipe won't stop with her i hope her children come help and learn this process of making this treat made by there mom ,this tradition keep going toward. if she could have a gas stove would help her to lift some of the hard work from her. what a phenomenal lady, to make corn, peanuts, spices, all the hours put in to make this delicious treat, that' s awesome history that should never stopped Jasmine thank you for sharing. 6/24/21
Wonderful video, Jasmine find out how much is a gas stove and let us know....
7:05 Does she consider this dry roasting with the sand? The sand being abrasive probably helps take the skin off.
♥️Areejatu is such a beautiful soul and good Mum. Hard worker♥️
Great video Jasmine.
Nigerian living abroad, but every time people see me they call me a Ghanaian even the Ghanaians speak the language to me instantly thinking am one of them. I will love to be. This woman looks exactly like my mum. Weird in a good way.
Growing up I always had a coin in my pocket extra for this delicious 😋 snack. I loved that spicy taste. Ama u made my day once again 🙏🏾 Bless u and also the hard working Lady.🙋🏾💐

This is our people we must donate to help their efforts. As a dude from Nima, I know their struggles because I grew up with friends whose mums does the same. This trade truly belongs to my kotokoli people, if a” Dakuwa” not made by them, I never buy lol
Wow, hard-working lady! Reminds me of a lady who used to live with us, Auntie Mercy; she was so hard- working, it was as though she didn’t know how to rest.
Well prepared. Thanks for sharing

Another fantastic video Jasmine! Wow, just wow, the amount of work that goes into this is quite something, BLESS HER!! Never got around to trying this snack but I saw it around often growing up. Also loved how that nice man posed to be filmed so his people in Bolga can see he's doing well. Great stuff all around. 👍🏾
Roasting peanuts in Africa is universal and old held tradition, no need for an oven. Brilliant.
This is a lot of 💪 hats off to auntie...
Great content jazzy ❤
Thanks so much xx
Oh Jasmin you finished me lol. I have been craving this for weeks, a grocery store here in NJ sold out of it and i keep checking when they are restocking. Nice one.
Wow!!! What an amazing woman. Such a hard worker. I love that she made sure her children had an education. I am amazed that she is able to remove all of the sand.
Such a beautiful and lovely extremely hardworking lady! She looks younger than 60 even with all the toiling. I hope the business is earning her great dividends. May God continue to bless the works of her hands!
Ms. Ama, I don't quite comprehend this cycle, this hard working strong mother & her mother before her, make these delicious & nutritious snacks, that supported many generations. Why hasn't anyone decided to invest in this business that is sustaining them to bring it to a if not more modern, at least a larger scale production. The outlook & mindset of some of our people sure does baffle me at times. I see this happening all over the place, where our forebears start making something, which is supported by the community & boom we send our children off to school & bam the business goes burst, because no one saw the value in growing & developing said business. Can't see the forest for the trees mentality is too rampant in some of our people.
ABSOLUTELY, it's a bloody revolving door syndrome! Nothing changes, & just perpetuating the same hindrances. Hmmmmm.. Suppose such hardworking women don't also make enough profit, given all the dependants she has to support. She's just about breaking even, really. Food for thought 🤔
This is when we come in.
I used to enjoy this snack a lot growing up in Lagos. It's wonderful learning the local process on how it's made. I commend your efforts on the video and your unobtrusive presentation. Thanks.
This video is truly amazing, and Auntie is fantastic!!! From USA One of the best videos ever, I just subscribed 👍🏾❤️
Wonderful woman keep Africa proud.
I just left Ghana and did not even know there was a deviously peanut buttery snack. I love these videos they teach so much about staying humble and hard work, I enjoy the joy and pride each person shows in the process of making these products.
Wawww thats amazing🥰
jasmine i think she meant kaffa, a flat corn made food that invalids eat, its pretty light and i hear that's one of the few foods people can eat after surgery, and hence the hospital. Not camphor🤭
Kids today would rather work smart than hard, But your grandmother will always be fitter and healthier 😉
Amazing!! The amount of work, WOW. It looks delicious. God bless her ❤
It is hard work indeed.Jasmine i love your slogan so much.
All the videos of food preparation amaze me The processes are basic but the amount of effort passed down through time It must taste amazing I love your style of interviewing too Not afraid of hard work
Awesome video👏👏👏
Hi Jasmine 👋 I really enjoyed watching the video
so glad u did xx
Jasmine the way you enjoyed that snack is wonderful
Thanks Jasmine, I want this! I will look for it when I come!! Such a good video, and shootng over a few days, I can't wait to see over the next few years what you develop into, not sure if you ever remember Jana Wendt, a journalist presenter on Aus TV, you have her class and poise and its a classic style. Keep it coming, love it all.
❤️
Very hard work!
That is a tremendous amount of manual labor to make this snack. I will take your word for it. It look very tasty. Areejatu and so many other Ghanaian who prepare and sell there products are business minded. Just think if she had modern equipment so she could mass produce she would probably be wealth. Another great video Jazz. God Bless❤👍🏾.
Roasting peanuts, drenched in sweat, wow, you are a You tubers with a difference. Appreciate the elderly lady for her fitness and hard work.
Not sure if I have the patience for this but I guess I will do it if my children and myself depend on it. Thumbs up to Areejatu for her hard work. Jasmine I like how respectful you are. Thanks for sharing
So intelligent and hardworking lady Jasmine Ama 😍🔥 first time commenting though 🙈

Awww God richly bless you mama long life
Wow, that snack really takes lots of time and energy, but sure it was all worth it. 😋
