Oh my goodness!!!! You have taken me back. My aunt in Panama makes these (she used to make a lot of pastries/food to sell from her house) and she would send this with any body willing who happened to be coming to the US. I remember looking forward to our family receiving this care package and other goodies sent (it usually was patties, saltfish, and bun and some other stuff we couldn’t get in the US at the time). She made them triangular shaped and the patties were half moon. I can literally taste it now. We would coach it so it would last as long as it could. You have brought me many sweet memories. TFS.
