1991 Ski Doo Mach 1X 617 Rotax Running

Video captured on January 16, 2022 at the 1st annual Vintage Snowmobile show hosted by the Sno-Drifters Vintage Snowmobile Club of Springville, NY. The location was at the Moose Club in Gowanda, NY.

My favorite motor of all time just because the odd number and the year it came out the name of it every single thing about that 2 year production screamed muscle and it looked like it was going 100 standing still and sounds even better

Agree! I think its kinda difficult to find a X-sled with the original 617? I think most guys beat them up pretty hard. Someday I'd love to find a nice survivor.

Yeah they were definitely muscle motors and were not for the faint at heart and you know damn well who ever walked into the the skidoo shop to buy one of those puppies had nothing but kickass and taking names on there mind probably a case abeer into it before they got there saying "Jethro hold ma beeer while I dangling a ski a BRAP some powda in that kitty cats face!

i used to dust 700 triple cats with pipes clutch work gears it was bone stock just fast

the plus x (521cc) had 44 mm flatslides and pipes ,,,the 617s were real fast ,,,i used to smoke cat 700s all worked up ,,and they hated it cuz 617 was stock ,,,,,not even an x

I know the owner of this sled better than the sled itself. Interesting info you shared, thanks! I've never ridden anything with the 617 but I've heard nothing but great things about that Rotax!
