Greetings from Belarus. It's such an interesting thought to live in a tropical climate where you can have such fruit to eat. If I could get the most horrendously filthy neighbors to stop killing the entire region I live in with their automobile, we might be able to have apples, cherries, pears, apricots, many sorts of berries and plums that grow here almost without effort. 52° north, no papaya but the children can get a snack in the fall if they have a long stick. I only wish they could find it in themselves to get through the shit in their heads to remember what it was like when it was a little bit of a garden here. Cheers mate for the entire concept.
Mangoooooooooooooooooo! 🥭
I saw you pick the pineapple and my heart shouted “”” Noooooo”” it should all be yellow with an amazing pineapple smell :)
mine too. after the fact 😳
Yummy and filled with earthly goodness! :)
You are real inspiration! we are moving into our own countryside with just little bit of knowledge about gardening, but i can tell after just a few episodes of yours, that we are already learning a lot, although we live in northern hemisphere, just the mindset it self enriches our perception. Keep it up! Lots and lots of thank you. You remind us of Gandalf. Stay strong and healthy. Best wishes!
Hey Lukas. If you watch from the beginning it will make so much sense 🫵🏻👁🎬👍
Fun Fact: I've recently learned that Pineapples are ripe, when they are about to break of their stalk. The stalk becomes brittle and brown at the base of the fruit and it should be possible to lightly twist the Pineapple of. I hope this is of use. 😊 Greetings from Germany
I yelled at my screen when he picked it. Wasted, IMO. Let it turn completely yellow then orange.
Greetings to people from the world down under, watching you munch on the goodies. Can't wait till my property starts producing, this will me by first year at the homestead. So much to do!
Watch out, Mr. Weedy, I am growing my wings now, I'll be on my way to steal them fresh fruits 😅😅😅😅😅😅, that's yummylicioooouuussss salad.
Nature, free grocery ❤️
Hey Weedy, where's my fruit salad? Now I'm hungry and jealous.
Hey Weedy! if you cut the pineapple top into quarters and take the inner leaves out. You can have four new pineapple plants. Great trick i found here on youtube. I tried it myself, it works.
Thanks for inspiring me love your videos.
Hey weedy I didn't read all the comments. So maybe you have already been told. You have the little shoots that grow out at the base of the pineapple. They're like little babies that you can pull off /snip off and plant. they will produce a new fruit within 1 year and a 1/2. Whereas planting the tops of the pineapple takes twice as long to fruit. ... By the way, thank you so much for making your videos. I was actually able to get my daughter interested in gardening because of how beautiful your work is. I wish I had more money to send to help buy new cameras for you.❤🎉😊
Great tip. Thanks 😊
My oh my that salad made me fruit hungry for a year! Really incredible! I've got some fruits in my garden but you have a lovely amount and variety of them! As allways very nice video, image quality, and vibes! Cheers from spain!
Rock melon..i enjoy hearing different words.. I'm like 'oh that's a cantaloupe he's opening' 😊
I literally just did the same. Watermelon, rock melon, peach, strawberries and apple. It was delicious. You really can't go wrong. Especially on a hot day.
Next up is going to be a peach and an apple crumble. A great way of using up the fruit and even the kids love it, especially when it's covered in icecream 😊😋
Ummm yum! Love the tip on the pineapple planting! We put ours in water and forgot it and the plant grew so much. It’s now in the ground. 2 more pineapples on their way to maturity! I bet your grapes are wonderful. ❤
What a tease to see this before brekkie! You’re making me question moving to the hills of NE Vic, Weedy! Stone fruit vs tropical 🤷🏻♀️? That cantaloupe smelled great too!
I'm so jealous. I want that fruit salad 😋
Congratulations on your first fruit salad harvest 😋
Have to be pleased with that , great variety. Thanks for another ep Dave - Great work as always.
Inspiration is an understatement
Your video of picking and eating your homegrown fruit salad was gorgeous ❤. I couldn't think of anything more delicious than collecting all those fruits and devouring them. One day I will be doing this 🍓🍒🍉🍑🥭🍍🍌🥝🫐🍇
one of my favourite dish: fruits salad. Good job Mr Weedy 🎉😂
This is so awesome !!! Makes me home sick though not gonna lie xox
This one is a classic
Setelah nonton vidio2 anda jiwa berkebun ku berontak tak sabar ingin segera punya kebun seperti anda, salam dari indonesia.
I truly enjoy your videos, the way you make them, your style is unique! Thank you for making these videos :)
Weedy here living the dream... One day I hope to have something like this! So lucky you are
Ahh so delicious, finger licking good!!
Looks absolutely delicious. My Chihuahua garden gives me plenty of fruit but never a variety at the same time. It's always a glut of the same thing for about a month before the next fruit comes in season. Only pomegranates grown from seed have an extended season throughout the year.
Lots of love for you Weedy, from my Zone 6a food forest in Canada!
☀️🌧🌳🌱🍁🍎🍐🍉🍒🍑🍓🫐🍅🍇🥬🥦🥒🌶🥕🌽🧄🥔
Weedy I love all your videos cant stop watching them!
Thanks!
Thank YOU 😉
Fruit salad is just that any fruit they all taste DELICIOUS. Unfortunately my beautiful Peach tree { it was ten years old and a miniature} died this year. It was such a gift from nature. Prolific little tree. It’s little branches always hung low with magnificent peaches. Gee I really felt very sad loved that gorgeous baby.
damn!!
Bravo. Bravo Weedy. 🎉😊❤
You sir are living the dream 🥭 🥭
Yummy I do similar in my farm. Thanks for your video
Awesome! Love the tunes.
Feeling refreshed 😮
Pineapples are ready when they snap off the plant very easily or will already be broken from the stem. Thanks David!
Yeah I discover a lot of things AFTER I release a video about it. Learning by doing. Have just harvested a bright orange one and the difference was huge.
What a beautiful fruit salad! Hello from the uk. Its dreary and dull here. However, my seeds and seedlings are starting really well for our veg this year. Not many lovely fruits that grow here, although our melons last year were yummy! I have apple, plum and pear trees just starting to show their leaves.I look forward to the new growing season ahead. Wishing everyone much love and a plentiful of crops wherever you are in the world xx
Wonderful!
Looks amazing sounds great xxx pleased to see you.
Much love my friend! I aim to make a food forrest fruit salad just like you just did in my own forrest soon!❤ thank you for your videos.😊
Weedy, you constantly inspire me, although my growing season is very different in the UK I take what tips I can and one day i will grow my veg patch to a weedy food forest!
Mindfullness
Hi Weedy, I do enjoy your work on CZcams. You are a breath of fresh and a little eccentric - in a very good way - air.
Have just had some swales dug in our sloping wee paddock and my wish list of trees is long. Both tropical and cool climate so we’ll see what we can get away with. Writing from the Illawarra so (foolishly) dreaming of lychees and mangoes and pineapples too
Where's the Carolina Reaper? 😋 That must feel sooo satisfying 👍
In a fruit salad??
Amazing 😊
💚
the best toppings 🍌 on 🍯 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Ohhh, we are soooo jalous! A freh mango direcz from the tree.... we life in the wrong climat. We still have snow.... and never a mango direct from the tree. 😅 Have a good day!
It is sad mango is one of my favorite fruits but I've only had one that's been shipped over on a ship... Not the same I am sure 😔
Love your garden and videos 😍
Thank you for the video!
What to called grapes looks like what we call muscadines here in Arkansas USA. They grow wild here in the forests and fence rows. Some people have started them in their gardens as well. They are tasty but the skins are rather tough. Muscadine wine is really nice.
Thanks Weedy, looks delicious !!
Hi Mr. Weedy- have you heard of Tera Petra Soil? It was created by the tribes in the Amazon forest. It’s amazing stuff, groups of scientists have tested soils from all over the world and found that the Tera Petra soil was the most fertile soil on earth. It can be replicated too. It’s worth checking out. Happy garden!
yes I have read the book 👍😁
Enjoy 😊
Looks so delicious, a gift from the Gods of nature, so satisfying to grow that food in your forest, well done!
Always a pleasure
I like yellow pineapple. They smell sweet. 😅😅😅😅
Me too. Next time I will let it sit for linger before I harvest
❤
I am making a veggie garden this summer. 😅😅😅
Best of luck
Gosh you have given me a great idea - I can start selling the sheath of my Nikau palm as a bowl - I get about 5 a year and they are as hard as wood when they are dry, with a bit of a bend at the edges like yours. I never really know what to do with them....
You've got it made weedy
❤❤
Muito bom! Eu tenho muitas frutíferas aqui no quintal pra ser mais exato mais de 100😂😍
Hi David, liking the videos and your lifestyle choices. When watching your moon calendar I thought of biodynamic farming. It sort of uses organic farming methods, planetary positions, special preparations using cow dung, etc. Thought you might be interested.
Looking forward to more of your creations.
Lots of those going in the garden here too 👍
Such a lovely fruit salad! But I had to turn the sound off at the end and turned on automated subtitles to know what you were saying, the sound of chewing is just something I can't handle! 🙈
Very inspiring and looks so delicious!!! I live in a suburb but I’m trying to grow my own veggies . Love your videos 🍎🍌did you sun dried the bananas first?
That's a nice mango. Is it namdok Mai?
It all looks amazing! May I ask about your banana's in honey? Do you have a recipe at all you'd be willing to share 😊
Marinate for a bit to really draw out the flavors.
Your videos are so chill, I love it - makes me relax. I heard you mention Denmark in two of your videos now (not this one, the one with the moon schedule and the one with mushroom growing) - do you have any connection to Denmark or was that random?
Jeg har en staerk forbindelser med DK 🇩🇰 😁 Er du danske?
Ja, jeg er dansk 😄 🇩🇰 Søgte på dit navn, og kan se hvad du mener med stærk forbindelse til DK. What a coincidence, that’s really cool!
Great video! Are you currently growing Moringa? 🌿🌱
G’day David, G’g onya, m8! Nice video… what new cameras are you looking to purchase. I guess you have lots of Canon glass so kinda locked into that system…😊
What grapes are you growing and how are they? I live not too far away and would love to grow some too
I just found your channel, I have subscribed and am enjoying watching a lot of your past videos. How do you deal with mosquitoes? I've noticed you have your arms exposed a lot. How do you keep the mosquitos off of you? I would be much appreciated to know because I want to garden this summer without putting the chemical bug spray on my skin every day.
Mint. Pick some mint, rub it in your hands and rub it on your body
Thank you very much, I will try that.
How do you do the bananas in honey, thank you
Dry them and then throw them in a jar of honey 😊
How long will they keep, I have a lot of bananas and only 2 of us ?
hi what variety of watermelon did you grow??? :)
Sugar baby from the survival tin
I ask please are there training courses in French like the one you offer?
You should look up how to peel mangoes with a glass, it's much easier and faster that way. Hard to explain without just showing you 🤣
Good tip and thanks for sharing that. I did see that before yes, but I didn`t have a glass this time...just a knife 🙂 Great tip if you need to process heaps of mangoes
@@TheWeedyGarden oh good, you already know the secrets haha. Yeah I definitely plan on using it when my mango trees start bearing lots of fruit!
Bonsoir. je demande s'il vous plaî est-ce qu'il y a des formations en français comme celle que vous proposez ?!
Shouldn´t you cook the pineapple prior to eating? It neutralizes the bromelain enzyme (it dissolves flesh) meant for keeping nosy mammals at bay.

Beautiful salad . There is a but though. The combination should change. You aren't supposed to combine lemon and pineapple with melon and watermelon and mango. There are categories that combine together. And it needs time between you consume fruits from the other category. Buon appetit
nice, but you (mis)harvested that pineapple just for the sake of this video. I also I could bet that you didn't finished that fruit salad bowl. You ran quickly to frye some eggs.
