This could be a middleman trailer. It would be great if you could hook up any trailer to it will become the tongue for the assembly

Do you have a video where the wheels do NOT turn for comparison?

It's very nice but I think if the rear axles were sterebrable it would be better

I wonder why they don’t make travel trailers with this setup. My truck is rated to tow up to 11,000 lbs but I would never be able to do that because the tongue weight alone would come close to if not exceed my payload capacity.

It is alot more expensive, a fifth wheel setup is better solution.

@@murraymadness4674 A fifth wheel might be a better solution if you have adequate payload capacity which most 1/2 ton pickups do not.

@@briandonald actually a new "1/2" ton can tow a good sized 5th wheel. If you want some big one, yeah, but then it also requires that kind of strength and weight to tow a big heavy trailer even with the front axle.

You need proper tongue wieght for a trl to go down the road safely and this set up gives zero tongue wieght. Can you say dangerous

This type of trailer doesn't need tongue weight. It's purpose is to remove weight from the tow vehicle. 10"s of thousands of doubles and triples traveling the highways safely with just a few hundred pounds as tongue weight. The steering is different, more like our red wagon's we all had as children. This set-up would be perfect behind rv's as tongue weight will eventually destroy the smaller rv's. As a racer, I wish motorsports trailer manufacturers would build enclosed race trailers like this one. Competitive trailers are the only manufacturer I'm aware of that offers this. I think they call it the "Bus companion".

@@Mr.Mopar.23-7 there is a company that makes enclosed trailers with this setup, they call it the "steerite self steering trailer system". And the front axle is designed to be adjusted up/down to increase/decrease tongue weight. Yes you absolutely need tongue weight to safely haul a trailer and this system isn't designed to eliminate tongue weight, it's designed to support the majority of the load so you can safely haul 3-4 times more. The biggest concern I would have is people loading too much weight on the trailer and not having the mass to slow/stop it right but that's easily fixed with a good set of trailer breaks and a good controller setup. I have pictures on my phone of a 32' enclosed trailer with this setup that was for sale on Facebook a few months ago and if I would have had the money I would have bought it in a heartbeat! I'm looking for one for my sandrail.
P.S. after doing some research the company I previously mentioned went out of business in 2005 but I'm sure you could find a fab shop that could make one.
