She expects to win when her team isn't used to dancing as a group I saw 5 soloists. She can't expect her team to be amazing if she doesn't stick to 1 team for a season and definitely can't expect to win constantly changing team.

I think that this time Abby didn't make a mistake.Maddie as a lead was amazing in this dance and I can't imagine if somone else be on her place.
The other girls are great dancers as well, but she chose Maddie because she has the emotion and she can tell a story. If you think of it there's been other dances with leads. Abby usually picks the right person to be the lead, it's not always Maddie. She picks the person that suits the dance. For example, Rosa Parks where she picked Nia to be the lead. Imagine if she picked someone else. That would be just awful! Light as a feather stiff as a board. Chloe did amazing, in a dance like that I don't think Maddie could put as good as Chloe in that. Where Have all the Children Gone? Brooke's emotion is sometimes just a fake smile or blank, but in where have all the children gone she told a good story.
That's your opinion, I think that Chloe suits darker roles.

How do people not see the continuity errors in the editing :-) . 4:36 is a hoot, but here's a layout for you.
4:11 - Nick accepting a little glass trophy for _" _*_2nd place overall junior age division small group._*_ "_
4:23 - Announcement starts for _" _*_overall award 1st place junior age division for small group Level 2._*_ "_
4:24 - Nick standing alone with same trophy. Both Kendall & Chloe have the same style trophy in front of them and Chloe has a purple ribbon medal. Kids behind have white ribbon medals.
4:25 - Brooke has a gold ribbon (flipped over).
4:34 - They celebrate together and step forward for team pose. McKenzie appears to have a black ribbon also.
