  • Ya'an, China, is home to some of the country's best tea. It's also home to the amazing long spout tea performers. This performance art, which dates back to 220 AD, mixes Kung Fu and the long spout metal teapot. Liu Xumin is a tea performer who has spent years mastering this ancient art form. His hope, he says, is to "achieve the integration of tea pot and human, of heaven and human, and of tea and human."

    It's interesting that three countries in east asia have different names for 'tea ceremony'. In Japan, it's called 茶道(sado or chado), in Korea, 茶禮(darye), and 茶艺(chayi) in China. The letter 茶 means tea, but the each word coming after gives different meaning, where 道 means way or path, 禮 means etiquette or courtesy, and finally 艺 for skill or art. As seen in the video, Chinese regard their tea ceremony as art.

      I do think that most of it is crookery ...including most of the so called "martial arts" from china . After all, China and other asian countries were a bit like Africa, with an average level of education extremely low as most people were peasants. So they were exploited by con mans claiming extraordinary capacities. Just like it still happens in India with the so called "yoga masters" levitating etc.

    • @cornpuffs9621
      @cornpuffs9621 Před 7 lety

      BeScaredOfDarkness just saying... Its not different languages. More like very strong accents. A mandarin speaker can understand a cantonese speaker vaguely. In china, they aren't different languages, just different accents. And the smaller 'languages' dieing is just exposure to more people with a certain dialect, and changing their own.
