Actually, Jiraiya is a fictional character of a story named "The Gallant Jiraiya" (if I'm not mistaken by the title).
No actual ninja was named after him. Just a character from a story about a legendary toad befriending ninja with his wife Tsunade saving his friend who is possessed by an evil snake spirit after being poison by said friend and healed by an old road named Gamatora. (if I'm not mistaken)
Definitely a story worth reading, although I'm not sure if there's a translated version of the story...

The whole Naruto fandom: "Popularity? Say that again?"
what he meant is that ninjas don't show-off, they do not show their skills just to impress anyone. and by that they do not attract attentions, only those who are in frontlines get popular because frontliners are visible, samurais for example. Can you still be stealth if you've been exposed?

I am Japanese.
I will give you historically accurate ninja information.
There were many ninja groups during the civil war in the 16th century.
At its peak, there were 70 ninja groups all over Japan.
However, most groups lost the competition and eventually disappeared.
In the end, only a few groups remained.
It is known today as the "Iga" and "Kouga" ninja.
However, even in the "disappeared" group, there was a family who personally taught the technique.
So there are many different ninjutsu left in various parts of Japan.
Their claims may be inconsistent with each other, but each only conveys an ancestral school, and historically neither is a mistake.
I've heard of Iga and Kouga when I was young watching Ninja Hattori
Well since your Japanese isn't it true that ninja 2 was actually created to counter Everything as samurai is Because lots of the showguns that ruled their provisions for the emperor the emperor were crooked and said samurai to do the dirty work amongst the peasants farmers mainly mainly hence the need to wear a mask so there was no reprisals on their families and they could fight back the samurai that's why I need you too sword is straight and short because ninja 2 was meant to counter everything samurai is so they fight on the inside where samurai fly on the outside with the long swordsIs this not true that the 1st ninjas were rebelling against Is samurai
The fact that he says that Shuriken are not ninja weapons(however tools would be a better word for this) but the swords, bow and spear sure show what you said because it is weird as hell and I doubth that was really universal. What he says is also full of contradictions...
Japanese language please..
@@spacewargamer4181 I think probably what he's saying is that shuriken wouldn't have been a common weapon, and that's pretty obvious. If you're in town to find out about an enemy or just gather info, you're sure as heck not going to be carrying things that would contradict your cover. And, if you're supposed to sneak into a castle and kill someone, you wouldn't want to have a stack of them clanking around in a pouch. If you had more than one, you'd have to have them separated by cloth, which means you can't pull out the stack and start throwing while you're on the run. Also fairly useless against anyone wearing armor, so a very limited-purpose weapon.
Everybody's a gangsta until he makes those symbols and vanishes

Kind of makes sense. You have to realize that ninjas are stealthy. Travel light; travel fast. If they're used for espionage, like spies, then they pretty much have to blend in. Blending in is one of the best ways to remain unseen. You can't really blend in if you're carrying shurikens.
I think I read somewhere that they were to distract the enemy, exactly like in Naruto
Legend says, there are actually more ninjas but they blended so well into the background
They forgot to tell him
they were using genjutsu

There's one from Marvel. His name is Draxx
@@nekoplaysescanor7930 yeah but he's only voice acted, you never get to see the actual actor
To anyone wondering what he meant with 'you can't have real ninjutsu training nowadays', it's simple. Mostly any traditional training routine would be seen as ruthless and brutal, so if you teach kids like that you're gonna end up with zero students and might be jailed or something.
lol maybe he can go to china because over there in shaolin temple you can break a brick on a child's head and everyone gives you thumbs up
Nah, it's all about it's practical usage. There literally is zero reason to do this training now in modern Japan. Ninjas don't serve the army or the government, you don't get paid to be a ninja. Doing those real tough ninjutsu training is basically worthless now unless you're doing it out of the desire to keep the tradition alive.
@@namelessking111 exactly!
I'm all for historical preservation but at some point you have to be realistic and say that certain aspects of the art are impractical, ineffective or just not appropriate
According to various sources (Hayes, Adams) Ninja were trained from birth in the arts. However, despite their relative isolation, they would have still been able to bend into a society when there was plenty of travelling monks, entertainers, rural workers and so on.
But in this age of mass communication and rapid change, essentially home-schooling an army would be grossly impractical.
I mean, you'd have to have pretty sophisticated ID faking and computer skills in order to conjure up an identity that would fool the authorities.
Dressing someone as a janitor and hoping you might kill the CEO whilst changing his wastebasket is pretty inefficient LOL!
Haha so true, would be something like shaolin monk training on steroids
Good Assassin training.

To people looking at the running and thinking it looks weird. The basic idea is called forward leaning run, where you learn at the ankles, not the hips, so you're essentially always falling and your feet just push you back up when you step. He mentions running normally tires people out, which is pretty in line with how forward leaning running is usually more energy efficient when running faster. The running style does pump your calves a bit, but once you get strength in your calves it's fairly easy to just go. This isn't referring to the overdramatic positioning actually found in Naruto though.
Then why don’t long distance runners run like this? Because what he’s saying sounds right in theory but is actually not the most optimal 😂
@@ari8184 To rephrase your question with context, "Why don't distance runners run like they are holding a sword steady?" Well, because they aren't holding a sword steady.
Runners do lean forward to create forward momentum. Distance running form isn't standing perfectly stable and do not do "standing leg extensions" for miles and miles to primarily propel themselves forward.
Proper distance running form involves having good posture, if you bend at the hips then you dragging back your own natural momentum. You lean a little near the ankles to keep good posture and not destroy your natural momentum. Check out other videos with distance running form.
This guy is so good he explained the Naruto run without me even noticing. I must have missed it somehow.

Ah...
Wow, thank you so much for this video. It helped to enlighten us to the reality much more than the false impressions we have all had for decades about Ninjas. It was great to see him, he's like a regular person in many ways. Very practical in how to develop and use the skills, as he showed you can use many of the same techniques for Ninja activities or for farming, and some of the same tools! Very pragmatic. Although there was a bit of conflict from what he said about Ninjas main goal is to survive, however they were still called upon in war as spies for espionage or even as assassins. But I think the point is they preferred to not have to use their Ninja skills for killing if it was not necessary.
It's always great to shatter misconceptions we have from Hollywood or other sources and get to know the real story behind this famous Japanese discipline.
I liked that he was doing exercises that had a Buddhist meaning. That shows he is a Spiritual Warrior which is above all other practices. I hope that he can pass down the tradition, it would be a shame if it died out altogether. Just like the Shaolin or other traditional martial arts practices.

not mid 40's but 55 yes, he looks very young for almost 70 yo
asians man, they're immortal
Cuz he's asian. An asian.
@@TurtleMountain You're kidding, right? It's because he's a vampire. Look at those canines.
@@bilosmith177 LOL
Reporter: "Omg, what an amazing collection of weapons. What about this one?
Ninja: "That's a garden tool, I use it for trimming."
"Trimming heads of people's neck"
They actually went to the wrong house and just interviewed a local crop master lol
Reporter: "Omg the poison you have seems so deadly i can even smell it from here!"
Ninja: "That's fertilizer"
ninja: "which can also been conveniently used for cutting off the limbs of people who are no longer allowed to live for knowing too much"
😂😂😂😂😂😂dude
I learned new things through this Video.. Thank You Sis
fascinating and a remarkable man, thanks for the video
He's nearly 70 years old??? He doesn't look a day over 50, amazing.
I thought the same. The way he moves, he could be 30!
I´m not talking about his martial arts, but overall constitution.
yeah true
Well, I mean he’s got the chakra flowing in him. 🤣
It’s cause of dat tai chi
This is why I want to marry an asian man, they don’t bald and look youthful as the get older Uwu.
This man is going to infiltrate Area 51 for us
Best Kinda Mess My exact same thoughts
Leader of the weeb gang
We need to learn from him how to
Naruto run as a pro
I'm sure if every American in.the US gives him 5$ each he will go! Whats his venmo so we can buy him a go pro too lol
‘With’ not for its ‘with’ we ain’t leaving a ninja behind
He said Ninja can never be in the spotlight, and here I'm from across the seas and mountains watching who are the ninjas of my favourite country Japan. ❤️ From Eastern Nagaland.
He is the last ninja because he slayed his entire clan.
What he said in the end about ninjas shouldnt be in the spotlight and so... reminds me of itachi
A true shinobi
tiki taka ph Jesus Christ you must be fun at parties
/whoosh
“Some techniques were passed down to followers; But at this point, those followers have all vanished”
So the training worked...
Captain Vimes exactly what I was thinking🤣
This needs more likes :D
They were killed by thanos
ouhhhhhh
lol sharp!
cool video! great teachings!
Again a bit late to the party but this guy is lovely. I loved the "we have nothing but can achieve a lot" he comes across very humble
multiple weapons and katanas on the wall
girl: *looks at gardening shears* "that's kind of cool"
Coz shes a girl
well to be fair we see katanas all the time as the typical arsenal of shinobi, so of course to anyone who knows of how ninja are portrayed in modern media, seeing something like that sticks out lol. i dont think it has anything to do with her being a girl
@@Ari-ld5bt nah it probably does
Cuz that is the only useful thing
I died on that part...so many weapons and she look at the gardening shears lmao
"It's annoying to carry shuriken around." The moment he explained about it I beieved he is a real shinobi.
Yeah. When you have alot of those it will also make a sound.
Same.!
Samurai used shuriken.
Ninjas are stealthy john wicks, they make use of everything in their surroundings. Even a pencil
@JScope well i did not said you need to be a ninja to do that. Your argument is wrong.
I love that man!!😭❤️
Just loved it_ Thanks to Asian Boss for gifting this video_ 💖 I think now we should inculcate within us the good elements which we heard from the shinobi sensei_ 🕯️
And we are off to the comments section.
Let's see what the experts think.
Major cringe.
The sarcasm here is legendary.
🤣
Haha
This comment is starting to become mainstream I'm seeing it everywhere now
What if he thinks he's the only ninja left because the other ninjas are better ninjas
They're in space bro
@@felipehierneis1908 yeah LOL
That can be true cause those ninjas were able to keep the secret.
That killed me! 😂
im dying XDXD
This is beautiful video, but a little heart breaking also, I hope dedicated students come so the legacy can continue in his and his predecessors honour. Ones that don't abandon thier studies, or their students once eventually able to teach also of course. 💜
I think they should keep teaching the way of the ninja in Japan as a tradition for those interested, it feels like important history just like the Samurai.
So it's good to hear he's teaching others now, it could potentially be a big seller for tourists as well.
There are multiple organizations still teaching ninjutsu in Japan, it's just that the students aren't considered actual shinobi.
A lot of overlap between the samurai and shinobi clans anyway.
The video was so interesting that everyone forgot that they got clickbaited
You're right😂 totally forgot about the naruto run
But he demonstrated the Naruto run
11:12
Not actually Naruto's run cause he didn't stretch his arms backwards. But its waay more interesting
@@bhlacks it is. Same concept: body forward. I'd imagine in Naruto they have their arms back because of speed and exaggeration
It kind of the same though w/o the hands on the back. They let gravity pull them forward to move faster.
*Goes to weapon room* "These look cool!" ... "Those are garden shears."
Thank you 😂😂
Then the dude demonstrates the many ways you can fight someone with them.
@@rkopptrekkie i think he was being funny.
@@christopherparks4342 honestly he may not have been joking at all. Farm tools were a great weapon for ninja because people wouldn't normally be suspicious of someone who looks like a commoner carrying them.
@@dylanjantz1 yeah but that particular farm tool wasnt widely available until the mid 1800s.
This honorable ninja seems to know a lot from the past and traditions. Something about his face let me think he probably was born in the edu period and experienced it all by himself. Not sure what it is, could be his fangs. Never mind, I would like to sit with him at a fireplace and listen to a thousand tales.
