Inside Central America’s Deadliest City!🇭🇳 (San Pedro Sula, Honduras)

  • The second largest city in Honduras, San Pedro Sula has been named several times in recent years as one of the most dangerous and violent cities in the world. Robberies, kidnappings and murders are common, but 95% of crime is drug-related.
To be honest, a lot of people have told me to be very careful here. I really respect their opinions, but as always I am very curious to see with my own eyes the atmosphere of the city during the day, explore the streets and talk to the people who live in this notorious Honduran city!

I'm Honduran and It makes me so upset to see a grown man being proud of having 23 kids while selling mangos. Nothing wrong with selling mangos but you are not gonna tell me you have supported them all or they have had a good example or quality of life they need. This is what's wrong with our community. The poorest people bring kids they can't support or educate, overpopulation is insane. Beside that, cool video, Hondurans are very friendly and kind people.

@@patrick1992 It was my grandmother, uncle and mother that first migrated. Both my uncle and mother were young children, but they were fortunate to have come over legally, and eventually gained their citizenship. They moved to Chicago, where my grandmother then met someone and had 4 other children (my aunts) who were all born in the states. My grandmother worked several factory jobs to support herself and her kids, bought several homes and made a good life for herself and her children. Something she would’ve never been able to afford still living in Honduras. My grandmother already had some family here the states, and they were the main ones that helped her get here. We still have family in Honduras, and my aunts have gone back to visit, one of my aunts actually has a trip set to go next year on a scuba diving excursion in Roatan with her kids. I want to visit one day as well with my children to see where my roots began.

Bro I go to SPS all the time and I'm Gringo. Majority of the people are staring at you because there aren't too many of us walking the streets down there. They're not looking at you like you're prey, it's just uncommon to see a Gringo walking the street especially in Centro. Most foreign people go to Honduras for the islands Roatan and Utila, any others in the city or around are missionaries. The city is safe people, SPS is inside of the Cortes region of the Country, so a lot of those murder stats you see are including the greater area around SPS. Very unfair to the people in the city to be portrayed like this as you see most of them are very friendly, like most he encountered in the video. Favorite restaurant down there is Distrito 5 if anyone finds there way to SPS.
