I wondered, after watching another of your videos, what "supply" teaching was. Thank you for explaining that you're working as a sub. You're a substitute teacher! Now I understand...😊

Hi, Nessa, glad to see you are finding some work. Did you say it is called Supply Teaching? I had the volume on low because my sister goes to bed with the chickens, haha. We call it substitute teaching here in the States. A good friend of mine did it as well.
I had started a reply to your video about teaching, but it got over long, and I gave up trying to explain how important I think teachers are. No one should have to go through violence in their job, so I was so disappointed to hear that had happened. I also think admin should back teachers up and some parents should knock it off with the helicoptering, lol. I am a parent by the way, and I was not that way when my son was in school. I was a member of the Parent Teachers Group. We did things to support teachers as well as students but it seems things may have deteriorated as that was 20 years ago.
Anyway, I hope that sums it up without a book being written. I know you will find your niche, tho, as you have a lot to offer the world.
I have tinnitus, and have also had trouble with cysts in my one ear reforming after they were surgically removed. So I've always wondered if that triggered it. I didn't realize I had the cyst until I went to an ENT for persistent seeming infections. They knew what to look for more than general practitioners. Tinnitus is quite difficult to pin down, and hard to treat, so I will be looking forward to what you find out. I do listen to crickets chirping on long play relaxation vids if it starts bothering me sometimes, as it blends in to that for me.
    Give the pup a kiss!
PS I meant to ask how Sophie came out with the separation anxiety? My little chihuahua terrier gal that I rescued last winter is better now. I think it is just due to settling in. She is quite a timid dog, but very gradually getting better with what I hope is more stability.

I wish you all the best with your job search Nessa, sooner or later the right job will come along for you 👍
I am a fellow sufferer of tinnitus and I am convinced that it is stress related, the volume of mine goes right up when I am stressed or anxious, it's not easy to live with, so my sympathies with you with that ❤ Mindfulness helps, I use crochet and cross stitch for that, it does work.

Thank you for your words of encouragement! I totally agree with tinnitus being stress related, it definitely flares up when I’m more anxious. How long have you had it for?

    • @MargaretUK

@@NessaandSophie You're welcome Nessa 😊 I would say that I have had it for about five years now. It started when there were changes at work that I struggled to cope with, and although I was eventually made redundant from that job the tinnitus stayed with me. I now work from home which I find much less stressful and providing I set time aside to relax if I can then that helps. I hope you can find a way that works for you though I am sure that the lovely Sophie helps you a great deal 🥰

Hi Nessa, best of luck in your job search! I understand the job search struggle, I'm going through it myself. I'm also Portuguese-Canadian from Ontario (and Aveiro) and also have a dog, lets be friends! 😆

Hi Nessa, I am a retired teacher and understand the challenges you are experiencing. I also have a sweet cavapoo who is a constant companion to me. I was wondering if you have considered doing animal assisted therapy with Sophie? In the states, there are several organizations in which you and your dog become certified to visit hospitals, nursing homes, hospice patients, etc. to provide comfort and companionship. You and Sophie seem like you would be naturals at it! It's a nice way to meet people and share the special bond you have with Sophie.

Hi Nessa, I very much understand your struggle in finding a job. I used to work with children in the child care industry before what I do now. I have an almost 3 year old maltipoo and I quit my teaching job a couple years ago. It took me 7 months to find a job in a different field. You will find something that will work for you. Hang in there!!! I’m here if you’d like to talk.

@@NessaandSophie I currently work in the interior design industry as a kitchen and bath designer. I had been told numerous times that I should try something creative. So I chose something I had an interest in. It does give me more flexibility to spend time with my dog. I am also in the process of starting a CZcams channel focusing on my life with a maltipoo. Most importantly focusing on how to live with a dog that has separation anxiety.

Hi! Looking to buy a cavapoo and would love some extra info on how much she weighed at 8 weeks, what she looked like as a puppy and how much her coat faded (which seems like a thing). They seem like great dogs and really trainable so I’m really interested but I’m not sure what size would be a good fit for me. Any extra info would be great!! I can send you my email

Since you don’t want to be a teacher anymore, how about going to a community college?
