Reeeeeeeeeevv. Clean channel from this (and that INCLUDES that gorgeous spring verb) + purple channel from the Generator = me going out to get a loan just to get one. Also, that chassis design is classy AF, put it on more products in the future. ;)
Awesome demo and as always, awesome playing!! I was impressed. Seems like that amp has it all and that they thought of everything. That solo feature was pretty cool!
Superb demo Shawn! The swiss army knife amp sounds very nice overall, but is delicious with the Suhr HSS. Also the tele shines. Feeling GAS right now and I already have three stacks. I see a fight with my lady coming. ;-)
Amazing job Shawn. I got a Generator 7-40 ... now I want the Dynamis. My ideal amp would probably Ch1 of Generator (with the Crunch option) and Ch2 of Dynamis (less gain, a little more open sounding)
You could pretty much do that with the Dynamis clean by adding the G2 pedal. That's what I do as the G2 sounds different than the Dynamis red channel with the dynamics switch off or on blue. Or you can use the Dynamis' Red channel with the footswitch presets and have a crunch tone with no dynamics or blue dynamics set and a higher gain tone with the red dynamics and contour on. And 40 watts for me is the perfect power/volume level. Really great little amp!
I own the amp and i must say that this is the best review for this amp.It represents the sound of the amp very well! By the way how the amp is recorded?
Thanks very much! I used a Bogner 2x12 closed back cabinet into mic'd with a Royer R121 and Shure SM57 into a Chandler Limited TG2 preamp into my Apogee Quartet interface. PT12 DAW.
So many awesome Tubbisms during the intro lead! Love it!! Can anyone name any other guitarist (newer guitarists I mean, not SRV, Page, Hendrix, etc.} besides the Mighty Tubbs who when you hear them play, within seconds you know exactly who is throwing down the solo? Tubbs opens up the workshop at will and cuts it strict!!
For JMPish, 2204ish master volume tones, would you recommend the Generator 7-40 MkI, MkII or Dynamis 7-40? This one sounds great. From the settings on the gain channel, it seems like it might be a darkish amp?
REVV's website says they are "hand built". That doesn't mean they are hand-wired, does it? There is a PCB board inside, right? REVV needs to put a rear view photo on their site too, and dimensions and weight.
at 1:53, classic Tubbs lick, unmistakable, could not be anyone else! So awesome and rare to have a style that's instantly recognizable, love it!
Thanks for the kind words everybody! Shawn always does a great job no matter what but obviously we like the Dynamis quite a bit ;)

Very intriguing amp and another excellent demo. Challenge for me is everything he plays sounds great! Knee up the great work.
Awesome demo and as always, awesome playing!! I was impressed. Seems like that amp has it all and that they thought of everything. That solo feature was pretty cool!
I just discovered this amp. Great demo ! Thanks Shawn
excellent phrasing! love it
Great sounding amp and great demo.
Sounds like a great amp! Very versatile
Great demo Shawn! I personally really like this format. Split screen with closeups, but we still get to hear you/see you talk about the amp. Cheers!
yeah what a huge sound ,it 's a a beautifull product
He could play my blender and it would sound great! Love the reviews Shawn!
Another great video
love the blues with a twist song... pfff nice!
Opening track has a Landau inspiring vibe about it. Very cool
I want to try the revv amps so bad. I love how we can hear the bridge springs rings :P
Great! Would like to see you make a demo of the Revv Generator 7-40. Nice playing as always! Love it!
Thanks so much for watching Vincent and for the kind words. A demo of the Generator 7-40 is up to Revv. ;)
Long time Revv user. Love their stuff. Been waiting for you to demo something of theirs!
Thanks so much for the demo, Shawn! You might just have bought me the amp!
Earned a sub from me...keep up the good work! ;)
Thanks so much for tuning in and subscribing! You're very kind!
As soon as that DGT came in I lost it

Comes here to watch a demo of gear I'm interested in.. Leaves in love with Shawn Tubbs.. Oops, uhhm, I mean, his playing..
EVERY STINKIN TIME.. hahaha

Shawn Tubbs now we wait the generator 7-40 demo :)
I would love to see you and Josh Smith play a set together!

You're very kind! Thank you!
I know you've used your suhr bella in some pedal demos already, but would you demo the amp?
Yes that is in the works.
For JMPish, 2204ish master volume tones, would you recommend the Generator 7-40 MkI, MkII or Dynamis 7-40? This one sounds great. From the settings on the gain channel, it seems like it might be a darkish amp?
Thanks for watching!! I would go 7-40. I have a Gen 7-40 and I use the green channel for JMP and 2203 and 2204 type tones.
Does the boost work on the clean channel? Thanks
No, the dynamics control only affects the 2nd channel.
Shawn what neck pick up do you have in the PRS McCarty
PRS 57/08. Thanks for watching Frank!
I'm thinking the ultimate small guitar studio set up might be a Revv Dynamis 7-40 + a Synergy Syn1 + an UA OX Box. What couldn't you do?
Um....yeah that would do the trick for sure!! Thanks for watching!
Shawn what's the cab lighting in the back of the amp?
You mean behind the Rev logo? Not sure actually, It's not a bulb.
LOL. No, in back of the amp there's what looks like an xlr input.
Hahaha! Sorry, that is the footswitch input.
HA HA HA!!! A, HA!! Thanks Shawn! Too funny.
I'm getting old man... My brain can't handle complex computations.

Point to point and hand-built are two different things.
Shawn, What cab are you playing through? Sounds great! Lick at 1:33! Love it.
Rik D I would dare say he is using the Ox Box which he has used on the last few demo's.
Thanks Jonny. Could be. I know he loves that thing.
Ox Box is to the side. Doesn't seem to be on.
Hey Rik, I used my 2x12 Bogner cab loaded with Eminence CV75.
As always, thanks Shawn! Never heard of the Eminence CV75. Very cool.
1:30
Fuck it, I give up. Time to find another hobby. :-(
Damn you, Shawn.
Oh, this amp sounds insane by the way!
Haha! Oh c'mon now! Thanks for tuning in!
