Bro can you get all 120 stars, but using save states? I know that's prob not viable for wr, but I reckon you'd have some pretty good footage for it, if you make strats for how to turn gravity manually with the D-pad at specific places. Reminds me of Kula World. I'd be hype to see every star done like that, ngl

A cool mod would be Mario 64 but Mario is Duke Nukem. The princess could be a babe he has to save! She could have boobie tassels too! Mario could say things like, "what are these drugs i'm on?" or "i'm going to Lakatu my balls across your face!" or "Time to make some turtle soup!" Give Duke Mario's outfit and all the weapons from Duke Nukem 64.

Do the people who make these mods get paid for them at all or just do it for the love of the game?
Some rom hack contests have a prize for the winner (SimpleFlips does that a lot), but I doubt anyone sells rom hacks for profit.
I'd imagine that Nintendo would SLAPP anyone who tried to sell a rom hack. They're already hostile to modding in general, and modders making profit seems to be a red line for them.

This must have been kind of hard to make, it's my understanding that walls, floors, and ceilings are all different things and have different collision checks associated with them, so I'm curious how they work interchangeably here.

They have different collision checks, but they're categorised based on their angle. If you look at the rotating platforms in ttc for example, the surfaces change between floor, ceiling, and wall seamlessly simply because they change their angle. So, it could be that the whole map is rotated and physics stays the same.
