- We experienced our first Electric Sunsets Cruise on Marella Discovery 2 and it was a crazy 3 days, full of great music, fancy dress and good fun!

We have been back from our Marella cruise for a couple of weeks now so it’s lovely to be back, if only remotely! You are right Carole about the pop up bars. They are around the pool area for you to help yourself to Prosecco, various beers, wines etc. I suppose it frees up the bars a little

P.S. It is a lovely ship (went on it in 2019) only problem we found was seating around the atrium in the evening was a tad sparse.

I like Marella, the only problem is i prefer to do a no fly cruise and they do not sail from Southampton.
Do yo have any plans to cruise with Ambassador? I like the idea of a smaller ship.

Thanks Rob! We sailed once with Marella from Southampton but they no longer offer the sailings which is a real shame. No plans as yet for Ambassador but would if dates and prices worked.
Sorry, most of the trips you two share are fabulous; however, I would get off this ship at the first port and fly home.

Marella do a lot of things right, but I think the food isn’t one of them. It’s a bit hit or miss. Still looked amazing though!
It was so much fun. We enjoyed the food we had but you certainly don't pick Marella for the food. The entertainment is what keeps us going back!
