I often wonder what is the point of giant full-range fronts when you guys never end up using them with the subs anyway? Is it more for music? I run M&K 2520p's for my fronts, which are designed to cross at 80Hz, are comparatively microscopic compared to the beasts you guys have however are world-class in their reproduction between 80~20k and so loud and full it's impossible to come near clipping/distortion without bleeding out your ears. I then have Harbottle and PSA subs which handle everything 80Hz and under...so yeah, why full range if you don't use them that way? Cheers for the vid!

    • @jvinograd

I often listen to music in 2 channel and my AV7705 provides an option to run the towers in Full Range and disables the sub channel. The JTR 212RT towers dig DEEP on their own. For movies, the 7705 will put the towers back to "small" and turn on the LFE (sub) channel

@@willmahoney2452 The video is of my space. Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I much prefer XLR for multiple reasons but the biggest being the connection to the equipment is better as it locks into place, it pulls a higher voltage than RCA and can eliminate hum, especially if your cable run is of long distances. Obviously interconnecting processors and amps would typically have short runs, so you could get away with RCA, but hey, if you have XLR connection options, may as well use it! There is also the fact that XLR is balanced, RCA is unbalanced but at the same time, some might argue the Emo XPA amps aren't truly balanced anyway.
