    I can’t seem to align it so the shower head is in correct position

    Thank you. Does this help with low water pressure?

      The house I installed in had water pressure of about 50psi it worked well. I have noticed that low flow shower heads seem to perform better than non-low flow heads in low water pressure instances. Maybe because their design is aimed at the perception of a full flow head. Just my opinion no science.

      Just remove the flow restrictor

    How much swivel is in the showerhead? I would like the water to spray downward instead of towards the back wall of the shower.

    • @Mr4iron4
      @Mr4iron4  Před 3 lety +3

      It has about 30 degrees down and up swivel from the center position. That combined with a standard shower pipes already downward angle should give you the ability to angle almost straight down. I would check my installation for you but I sold the house I installed it into and do not have access. I would add that the swivel potential may be restricted by the handle and hose depending on how close the end of the pipe is to the wall.

    Installed mine and it’s dripping from the base. I did not use plumber’s tape. Should I remove it and add tape?

    • @Mr4iron4
      @Mr4iron4  Před 3 lety +1

      Adding tape can cause the plastic fitting to crack. Your issue is likely with the washer. Make sure you installed the washer, make sure it is seated flat, make sure there was no left over tape or debris. Hand tighten; over compression can cause the washer to warp. Using a wrench can cause over compression and leaks as well as damage to the plastic fitting. BUT, may be needed to do final adjustment to position. My comments are my opinion of how I would handle and should in no way be considered instructions to do any other than the written instructions. I am not a plumber. You may choose to do as you feel.

    The magnet on the handheld for this model is very weak. I really wanted to like this shower head and it was my first choice, but when I brought it home and opened it up, I noticed the handheld really has problem staying attached. I find the Moen has much stronger and secure magnet as well as the Kohler. The Delta In2ition also has better magnet. I returned it right away unfortunately, But I really do like the overall design (except for the magnet).

      Yes, this shower head does not use the magnet exclusively to stay attached, once in position a slight press will engage a friction fit. The others you mention do have a much stronger magnet hold.

    Is Thread tape not needed?

    • @Mr4iron4
      @Mr4iron4  Před rokem

      Thread tape is used to help seal threads this shower head uses a gasket washer to form a seal. If you were to use thread tape you could split the plastic or cause the washer not to seal because it might cause an inability to tighten properly. Thread tape will not help a washer seal.

      @Mr4iron4 Thanks, I was just curious. I haven't installed yet and thread tape was used on the current shower head I have. Appreciate you clearing that up for me.

    No plumber’s tape?

    • @Mr4iron4
      @Mr4iron4  Před 3 lety +1

      No tape, basically if you use a washer no tape required and may even cause a leak because you can’t compress the washer.

      you don't use plumber's tape or teflon tape on metal to plastic fittings.

    thats not a washer that is a flow restrictor

    • @Mr4iron4
      @Mr4iron4  Před 3 lety

      You may want to rad the instructions again to see what the manufacturer calls this item. Also you can see other videos to learn what a flow restriction looks like and where it actually is located.

    hello my shower head is tightened up but it keeps falling down when i lift it up and plus its leaking what could be wrong i have it tightened very tight its still falling down and leakin

    • @Mr4iron4
      @Mr4iron4  Před 3 lety +1

      If the problem is with the hand held coming off the mount, the hold is not just the magnetic but also a friction grip. If you do not clip it in it will fall. If this is not the issue I recommend going back to the store where you purchased.
